We had issues with a bed we received a couple of weeks prior. The person who helped us could not be more helpful and apologetic. She helped us find a replacement bed and quickly got it to our door! I visited the Southmont Mattress Firm store on 10/15/2022 with the intention of trying out the purple mattresses. The salesman, Marcus, seemed to be very helpful. I explained that I need a firmer mattress because I have back problems and that I sleep extremely hot and have been having issues with mattresses with memory foam in them because they trap the heat and I can't sleep through the night.  I liked the Stearns and Foster Cassatt model and it was my lucky day because they were selling the floor model at 50% off. I was concerned about buying it because the sign said all sales final. I was reassured that I absolutely would not be hot on that mattress and it would meet my needs. I was also concerned because I have had mattresses that body indents formed within a month and made those mattresses uncomfortable and added to my back woes. Marcus said that since it was the floor model, many people had laid on it and if there were going to be any issues, he would have already seen them. He told me that I should not have body indent issues as long as I use a mattress protector. I had to sign that I understood the sale was final. With such a big purchase, I was still concerned. He assured me that if something went wrong or I didn't like it, he would work something out with me. Even though I was signing the sales final paperwork, I just had to call back and speak directly to him. I should have known better than to trust a salesman. I slept on the mattress for two weeks. There are already softer valleys where I sleep. My back is in so much pain, but the worst part is how incredibly hot the mattress is. I wake up so sweaty all through the night that I have developed a heat rash on my chest and back. I am even using the cooling mattress protector Marcus sold me. I called Mattress Firm 11/5 only to find out that Marcus no longer works there. I was referred to the store manager, Cindy. I spoke to Cindy and she had absolutely no sympathy because I signed the paperwork. She said the cooling pad should take care of all the heat and she has "no idea why I would still be hot." I expressed that I was truly disappointed by the whole experience and would not recommend Mattress Firm to anyone based on this run around and false promises. She said there is really nothing she can do because since it is the floor model, there isn't even a manufacturer's warranty on it. I said there must be something they can do. She said she would speak to the district manager, but based on these interactions, I am not holding out hope. Today is 11/10 and I have not heard from them. I will be filing charges with my credit card and the BBB if something is not done.  In a world where most mattress companies give 90 day to 365 day sleep trials (with free returns), I feel that there is something Mattress Firm CAN do, they are just CHOOSING to leave customers unhappy. Instead, I am stuck with an expensive mattress I can't sleep on, and an overwhelming negative attitude towards a company. As a young, single female, I feel like I was purposely given false information and taken advantage of in order to make a sale. read more

5 star service and process. We went in and had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Michael Reighn. First of all we had no idea what we were even looking for and we made that clear. We are coming from a sleep number bed so had no idea about real mattresses. We told Michael that and he was patient with us and took his time. He explained the differences in mattresses and helped find a mattress that we both liked and felt comfortable with. I need a firm mattress and my wife needs soft. What I learned was that I didn't necessarily need a super firm mattress I just needed a supportive mattress. We picked out our mattress and it was delivered the next day! Talk about customer service! This store had a big selection of mattresses to choose from. Our salesperson was Shelly. She greeted us when we walked in and was incredibly friendly, personable, and knowledgable. She was NOT pushy in any regard like some sale people can be. Finding out that my wife and I were new to the Bethlehem area, she also told us about local restaurants we might want to try and local events. We were very happy with our experience and will be going back for any future needs. Review Update - Just got the king mattress delivered along with a steel frame for it. Delivery was on time, frame put together quickly and professionally, and the two delivery guys were very courteous. read more

I am basing my review on service - and the service was excellent. Sales people will try to sell you anything but its up to you to choose what you want. The sales person was nice, showed all kind of options, no pressure from their part to buy anything. Selection was good, shipment was free and I have 21 days to replace the mattress if not happy with it. As far as prices go, you can always compare but for me good night sleep is priceless. read more

My boyfriend and I needed a new bed and we were impatient and wanted one asap. We went to 2 other Mattress Firm's and ended up at this one in Bethlehem because we weren't getting the help we needed at others, Shelly greeted us as soon as we walked through the door, she was super helpful and showed us the mattress's in our budget that we liked most for soft mattresses. Once we found out it would take a few days to deliver she could tell we were upset because we were currently sleeping on our couch until we got a new bed. She was extremely nice and helpful. She and Joe gave us a discount due to inconvenience because of the next day delivering being completely full already and told us if we would like we can take the bed right off the floor because it was brand new. We were ecstatic, they both were helping us out as much as they could, and we could tell. I would highly recommend going here. Customer service skills were amazing. I recently went into Sleepy's to look for a mattress. What an ordeal! Let me walk you through this fiasco of a sales pitch. First they want you to lay down on a test bed that measures you up to determine what kind of mattress is best suited for you. I already know which mattress is best suited for me. It's the one that feels comfortable. But, wait, let's allow the technology to work its magic, after all, it was designed by a couple of doctors who knew how to sleep. Surprise...the mattress that best suits me is the $5000 mattress. I tell the sales guy that I'm not interested in a $5000 mattress and now I go through a process of lying on a $4000 mattress then a $3000 matress. After about 10 different mattress's, I finally found something for around $1900 that I liked. Now I'm wisked off to the desk where they are going to close the deal. Let the games begin. Oh wait, I need a super duper life time warranty mattress pad and a couple of pillows too. Of course we'll remove your old mattress....for only $200. All of a sudden, we're over $2500 and climbing. I now need a 2nd mortgage to pay for this thing. The sales guy says "Let me talk to my manager to see what we can do". See what you can do? You can give me the freaking price that's printed on the mattress or better yet, discount it.. That's what you can do. I'm buying a new mattress not a new car. A number of phone calls and they can now get me into the deal of the century. $2300 plus tax. Where do I sign? The next day I went to Raymour and Flanagan. I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes. They delivered it the next day and I saved about $800. read more

I am so pleased with my visit AND my new bed! Jessie greeted me and my boyfriend at the door and asked if we needed help or if we were just browsing. I needed a bed, immediately, but I like to browse and take my time instead of being walked around and told which beds are better than others. Jessie was fantastic. She gave us a lot of helpful information without pushing us into anything. She asked a few questions that helped us determine what I needed and what I was looking for, and she also went through the pro's and con's of some of the less expensive mattresses. I ended up getting a quality mattress, box spring, and bed frame for a great price (it was a friends and family sale). Jessie suggested the mattress pad, but when I said I wasn't interested, she completely respected the decision and didn't try to force me into that or any pillows. The process lasted maybe an hour and I ended up getting an awesome bed for an awesome price from an awesome sales rep. Jessie even pulled some strings to figure out how I could get my bed delivered earlier than what was available... I read the previous review and I'm really surprised as our experience at this Sleepy's location was great. Jessie (and Tom) was VERY helpful, even going to the point of giving us a discount voucher for lunch when we wanted to grab a bite to eat and talk about our options. Our bed was being shipped to Bermuda so we have a very strict timeline and an out of state shipping destination but they were super-accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. After patiently walking us through a myriad of beds we narrowed it down to two and Jessie was able to offer us a little extra deal to make it an offer we couldn't refuse. All in all, I couldn't I couldn't imagine a better bed buying experience. We got a GREAT bed and a great deal, delivered on/to our weird schedule/location. Thanks Jessie and Tom! read more

I visited Sleepys over Easter weekend to get a new mattress. I was immediately greeted by Jessie, who was super easy to talk to and full of information. We began with a "diagnosis" of my back problems and what would be the best place to start. We determined a price range from the beginning also, so she wouldnt show me anything out of my range. She immediately showed me a few Tempurpedic mattresses so i could have a feel for what foam/gel mattresses were like and because it is the original foam/gel mattress. From there, we sampled several other companies' versions of the Tempurpedic because they were just as good and at better prices. The entire time, Jessie asked me questions about my preferences, sleeping habits, and was extremely personable and non-invasive like some sales people can be. Sleepys was having a Friends and Family sale over the weekend which was also a great selling point for both Jessie and myself. In addition to the foam/gel mattress, i also bought a side-sleeper memory foam pillow and a mattress cover. Since it was Easter weekend and i purchased my mattress on a Saturday, i wasnt able to have my mattress delivered until monday. In any other case, it would have been delivered next day. Sleepys offers to take your old mattress to a recycling facility for a fee, or to the curb for free. I wasnt sure whether or not the city would pick up my old mattress which the delivery company would have left on the curb. However, Jessie gave me her personal cell to let her know what my situation ended up being. It was a holiday and i did not find out until delivery day that the mattress wouldnt be able to be picked up from the curb. I called Jessie and she made a call tp her supervisor who then contacted the delivery company and took care of my pickup and take away FREE OF CHARGE. Talk about customer service!! I would recommend Sleepys to anyone looking for a mattress. They are truly Professional. read more

I recently bought a mattress on TV - not that it was a bad experience but lesson learned...try before you buy. Hence my trip to Sleepy's. I was warmly greeted by Jessie, she asked what we were looking for and directed me to mattresses within our budget all while my son tested out the beds that were out of the budget : ) She took her time with me and explained the benefits of each and was genuinely interested in keeping us within what we intended to spend. After all the very positive experience at Sleepy's over the years, mattress buying could not have been a greater ordeal, exhausting, painful, expensive, and feeling like I have been duped experience ! Never again will we ever deal with Michael at the Easton Store. He is a crook through and through - knows how to do fraud, charges much higher for the same sleepy mattress than other stores, ALWAYS shows only expensive mattresses, knows zilch about comfort, cannot be more bossy and pushy to make a decision (including delivery date) rather than make the customer comfortable, is an expert in making sure he milks you out through and through, and lastly only shows what is in the store inventory rather than online (on that count he absolutely refused). Even after buying a fairly expensive mattress, having a very bad experience, he wanted to show us another mattress that was even more expensive and instead of addressing the issue at hand, we felt stuffed up again with his smooth talking and pushy behavior. He is as sly as a fox and the worst salesman Sleepys can possibly have. read more

Know what you want/need before you go in. We have a crib that converts to a full size bed. Guess we should have done some more research, but the salesperson knew what we were looking for, and sold us a regular size box spring. It was way to big for a toddler. They did an "even exchange" for a regular box spring for a "bunky box spring". The exchange was smooth, delivery and setup was fine. But, we paid a lot of money for the mattress & box spring, the "Exchange" for a full size box spring, to a 2 inch box spring, made us feel ripped off. Looking at the invoice, the majority of the money charged was on the mattress, but you can't tell me a 2 inch box spring cost just as much as a full size box spring. Again, our fault for not doing more research, just thought Sleepys would have offered better advice. When my wife went back, the sales person said "I thought that would be too big"....Yea, no kidding. read more
