While driving around Corvallis and looking for a perfect mattress store we stumbled into Sleep Country this past weekend. Being from San Diego I quickly noticed it was a part of the same corporation as Sleep Train which I have had prior excellent experience with. This trip made it clear that all of the stores operate under the same philosophy which is OUTSTANDING service! The store manager Shawn quickly attended to our needs to purchase not one, but two beds! Literally, he spent a couple hours with us making sure the beds were a perfect fit for my sister and nephew. We came back a day later ready to make the purchase and the transaction was quick and easy. Shawn helped us out on the every aspect of the purchase from the bed to the sheets! All the while he never once made us feel pressured! In this day and age where "true customer service" is hard to come by, this couldn't have been further from that feeling! If each business in our community had an employee like Whitney, all our transactions would be smoother and more satisfying. She sold me the bed I was seeking, took adequate time to review its functions and to go over warranties even as other customers came into the store. She acknowledged the others as they came through the door but maintained her focus on my transaction. A day later when I returned to ask more about the battery back up system in case of a power failure, she not only answered all my questions but crawled under one of the beds with cell phone in hand and asked pertinent questions of her superiors until she was satisfied that I understood how, in the dark of a power failure, to hook the electrical system up to allow us to use the bed. She is the ultimate professional employee and I commend Sleep Country for hiring an employee of this quality. read more

They had some great sales on queen sized mattresses, so I went in and picked one out (after trying like six different beds.) Mike O. was the one who helped me select a bed - very knowledgeable about mattresses and happy to help me find one I liked. I ended up paying for a bed before leaving the store. When I got home, I looked up the mattress on Mattress Firm's website and it was much cheaper than what I paid in store. I found an additional promo code and applied it to the sale, which took even more off the bed. Immediately, I called the store in Corvallis and explained the situation to Austin M., the store manager. He quickly apologized for the mishap and refunded the difference back to me! My girlfriend and I had just moved into town and we were in the market for a new mattress one sunny Monday afternoon when we happened into Sleep Country USA located in the Corvallis Market Center on the corner of 9th and Garfield. I'm not sure if at the outset we were ready to leave with a mattress that very day, but the price was right and service on point making us feel comfortable to pull the trigger on a new queen size. Ample variety. Shawn was a superb sales person; professional, knowledgeable, yet very at ease and comfortable, not overbearing or overeager to "make the sale". Went in to "browse" but planned on purchasing in a month. Shawn was very helpful from the start; I told him what I was looking for and he provided me with a number of choices that fit my parameters.We felt no pressure to buy and were comfortable trying out all our options. I was thinking we'd check out a few and think it over and return to purchase later on. Not only did I leave the store having purchased a new bed for our new house; but with the financing available I was able to get a better quality mattress as well. Our experience with the salesperson, Brendon Seeley, was exceptional. I have multiple sclerosis and one of its effects on me is the inability to move my legs, which means I have difficulty turning over in bed and getting out of bed. He found the perfect mattress for us, firm enough for me to turn over and soft enough for my husband to get a good night's sleep. The two gentlemen who delivered our new mattress and box springs were amazing. They took down the old and installed the new in record time. I barely had time to get a good look at them. The staff has amazing customer service and knowledge of what will last and what will be best for your personal needs. I was greeted without a car salesman line and was treated like a person. I purchased mattresses for both my son and myself. It has been years since I last bought beds and a lot has changed but our sales rep Shawn was patient and immensely helpful in guiding our selections. I never felt pushed and the quality of the products spoke for themselves. Service both in the store and at delivery time was impeccable and the return policy is unbelievable. Sleep on it for 100 days and if you don't like it you can return it or exchange it. Prices were very competitive and we got free products as well. We shopped 3 different stores in Corvallis before coming back to purchase our mattress and frame at Mattress Firm. Our budget was limited, but we were able to find a comfortable setup within our price range. Buying a floor model saved us a lot of money. We were impressed with the sales approach of Wayne because he wasn't pushy and seemed to genuinely want to help us find the right mattress. My girlfriend and I were looking to get a replacement mattress. We had already been to other mattress store in Corvallis and they were sub-par. Sleep Train was by far the best one we visited. I'm not usually a big fan of salesmen. Most are pushy, won't leave you alone to browse and try to sell you something above your price range. This was NOT the case, however, with Shawn Williams! I went in panicked and on a very limited budget after a cross-country move left me on an air matress. Wayne was fantastic. He patiently showed me several types of matress since I didn't know what kind I wanted and when the matress I had picked out had unexpectedly been sold to another store he found me a similar one in a bigger size for the same price. Went in looking for sheets for my pillow top king sized mattress and found 4-5 different choices. Found a set that fit my budget, but they weren't in stock. No problem because they were going to be ready to pick up in 2 short days. Great customer service with a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
