We had not purchased a new mattress in 10 years - looking at the reviews of Mattress Firm in Hilo we thought we would give them a try - Kimo was very helpful, no pressure, just explained different mattresses and let us try every one that we thought we would be interested in Although the one we picked was not in stock, he gave us the date of delivery, if not sooner, and we were asked to make a small down payment, which we did - we got a great President's Day Sale price, and an even lower price when we brought in one of their own mainland ads to have them issue their price match guarantee - Ana was very helpful with this and proved their dedication to customer service and doing what they said they would do - the delivery was quick and seamless, the delivery guys were very courteous and careful, even noticing we had a cat and did not want to leave the front door open in case the cat might get out So far we love the new Serta hybrid mattress that we purchased from Mattress Firm Hilo - it is refreshing to deal with a local company that appreciates and values their customers instead of acting like they are doing you a favor even talking to you - all in all, we would highly recommend this location read more

Just bought a Brand New bed this month after nearly 20 years. Excellent 5 Star Service from Walk in to Delivery!!! ANA, our salesperson, was extremely pleasant, professional and welcoming. She made the process fun & simple. Delivery & Set-Up was effortless. The deliverymen kept in touch every step of the way on Delivery day. They even arrived a little early. They wore masks & took precautions during the process to neatly enter/exit & maneuver throughout our home in an orderly fashion. They were quick, professiinal & highly efficient. Well, just moved to the Big Island and needed beds. Went to another place first something "slumber" , awful. I got there right after they opened because I'm in desperate need of beds. I walk in and a salesman , actually a salesman opened the door for me and I asked about beds...he looked at me like I was speaking a different language and walked away say someone will be over...no one so I walk out.. find Mattress Firm, a name know. I walk in and greeted right away by a sales woman wearing a face covering....nice ok they're listening to science..lol she's upbeat and willing to help.. I tell her I need 2 beds....No problem. I tell her the date I need them by and she's got it under control. Terry is AWSOME. We just bought a home in Pahoa. Got there on a thurs night, it and all the beds were full of cockroaches. Sickening feeling. Stayed in rental home that night. Found Terry at America's Mattress on Friday. She hooked us up with a super deal on bed frames, mattresses, and where to get a superb lunch. I am very surprised at the knowledgable sales people at this store. They are a new bunch and not to be ignored as they know their stuff. The sales people greeted me and asked if I had a particular item I was looking for, I told them and they directed me to an assortment of beds within my price range. This isn't a discount store, but you will get excellent service and fabulous furniture. The sciatica I have has lessened to such a degree to hardly be an issue any more since sleeping on one of their beds. And the Serta futon is sooooo comfy to sit and recline on. Recently did a lot of online research regarding mattresses and went into Mattress Firm to see some of the beds in person. Was helped by Ana Sotelo, who did an excellent job fielding my many questions and pointing me in the right direction as far as what to consider. Ended up getting a Tulo (bed-in-a-box type mattress) that they sell as their addition to the growing market for this type of bed. Been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now and so far extremely pleased. Nice to know there is a 120 night sleep trial in case we change our mind about it later of course. I would highly recommend visiting this store to check out their beds and to talk to Ana. OBTW, delivery and set-up and haul away of old bed was an option we used and it all went smoothly and on time as promised. How often are you going to buy a bed in your life? We purchased our Serta Perfect Sleeper bed from Hilo's American Mattress, about 4 years ago, and it is a joy to own! The staff of two women were just extremely nice, and we got quick delivery. My husband and I have our own sides of the bed with remotes, and there is a setting called Zero-G that puts you in a position that takes away much of my pain. Anyway...it is now 10/22/15, and after keeping a dog in our home who was lost, until I reunited her with her owners the following day, I noticed she had these very small bugs crawling off of her. My husband put her on our bed and the recliner. The dog was like a Trojan Horse, and the bugs on her were bedbugs! We've had our exterminator in 5 times over the last 3 months...but, I'm totally chewed up. I went to our team at America's Mattress here in Hilo today, told them our problem, and the wonderful lady set us up with mattress and pillow encasements, with a deep discount, which without it, I couldn't have purchased them. Folks, if you're looking for a stellar mattress system, with a team that will take EXCELLENT care of you, before, during and after the sale....go to Hilo's America's Mattress.
