Worst shopping experience ever. High pressure sales tactics used here as well as flat out deception. They tried to deliver mattresses that we did not order. See details below. Went in looking for a mattress for my daughter. She couldn't be with us so we were just looking at options and pricing, & planned to come back with her for the final decision and purchase. We made this VERY clear to the assistant manager (who we were passed on to by the original salesman to get us a "good deal"). He worked up a deal for 2 mattresses (we were loosely in the market for one too) that was a good deal. When we said we'd be back another day with our daughter to finalize the deal and actually make the purchase, he suggested we apply for their credit in order to hold the order. He assured me this was just to secure the order but was not a purchase. He also had us pick a delivery date (assuming we'd be back to purchase & it would shorten the time it took us to get the mattresses), so we did (& he again assured me we were NOT purchasing anything until we came back to actually make the purchase. I signed for the credit, but nothing I signed was a purchase. We left the store and later changed out mind and decided on another product. I called them the day he expected us back and cancelled the deal we had previous discussed. On the "delivery date" picked when we had not made the purchase, sure enough the delivery team attempted to deliver the mattresses I did not purchase. I was shocked! I turned them away and got the manager on the phone...& boy did he get an earful! The manager tried to excuse his assistant manager's actions by saying there must've been a misunderstanding. NO! There was no misunderstanding. I made it clear to the assistant manage numerous times that we were not making a purchase until we came back with my daughter. He knew the deal & I believe he purposely did what he did. The manager claimed he cancelled the order & that I wouldn't see a bill. He fixed that part (hopefully), but still reached for excuses for his assistant. I will never set foot in ANY Mattress Firm again as a customer. read more

I have an adjustable bed that is over eight years old and out of warranty. The remote control device for the left side stopped working. I ordered a new remote directly from the bed manufacturer. When I received it I was on unable to link the remote to the receiver unit. I called the mattress firm store in Cedar Hill and spoke to Nathan the store manager. Nathan went out of his way to help me find a repair company for my adjustable bed. The company he recommended was able to help me over the phone and rendered superior service. We brought my ornery, Southern septuagenerian grandmother in here to pick out a new mattress - quite a tall task, considering how hard-to-please she is. After having her old mattress for over forty years, she picked out a new mattress within ten minutes - thanks to the help of the guys at the store. They were exceptionally patient with her (something I cannot be), even when she couldn't particularly articulate what she was looking for. Our consultant, Jeff, was able to steer my grandmother toward what she actually wanted but was unable to say. I had gone in ahead of time to prep them for her arrival, but Jeff was so gentle and able to disregard my grandmother's lack of tact or social graces that I could not help be impressed. I ordered my mattress in the June, through Alexis. I receive a call from the SM Nathan Sep29th regarding my order,I let him know that they can go ahead and deliver it, when the next delivery option was available. He let me know that the earliest they had was Oct11th, I receive a call later that evening &he let's me know that he was able to save me some money on my order and that they actually had to push the delivery date back to Nov7th. Which was fine with me as I understood the COVID has been pushing things back. I'm a flight attendant so I travel for a living, on the date of delivery I had someone receive my order which was to be 3 pieces. Mattress, box springs,&pillow. Once I got to town later that same day, I saw only my mattress was what I ordered &I had no box springs or pillow. Instead I had received an adjustable base. The following morning I called to Nathan answers I let him know that my order wasn't correct, he ask my name and says I'll look into it &we never speak again.2days go by &I give another call and let Ben know hey my order isn't right Nathan said he was gonna get back with me it's been 2days I need help, he tells me that Nathan was busy at the moment and he'll have him give me a call back. No problem. I call a few moments later asking for Alexis, as she was the one who did my order for me, and Ben let's me know that she was no longer with them.No problem,I wait to hear back from Nathan.I once again call the store Nov 11th, Ben answers and I ask for Nathan he lets me know he is busy with a customer and is quite surprised that I have still not spoken with this young man, as am I.Ben let me know that he was going to write a note and place it on Nathans desk to give me a call back because of wrong order and no pillows,I told him to be sure & leave a voicemail,so that I can know at least he's made the effort to fix,currently fixing or what have you about the incorrect order.Ben assured me &I wait again. The next following day I get a call,while I'm boarding my flight. No voicemail left.I call Friday 13th I receive Ben again.He tells me Nathan wasnt available.I let him know I am I need this fixed it been almost 2weeks since delivery with the wrong order sitting in my house. Ben let's me know he really doesn't know about the pillows I'm talking about,I let him know I can tell you the order #.He looks it up and and he sees exactly why I am now frustrated. So this is the first time in two weeks that anyone has tried to rectify the order.Nathan cancelled my previous order, &resubmitted it under his name,on Sep29th, but when he went back in to replace it he didn't put the order in correctly resulting in a continuous back and fourth and an incorrect order of merchandise sitting in my house for a month.Ben leaves a note on Nathan's desk. I wish I were exaggerating this, Nov24th I reach out for someone else. Brad calls me and leaves a voicemail that same evening. The next following day I call speak with Bill I believe, he shows empathy and let's me know he's going to get this corrected and let's me know he could have it delivered Friday, Nov27th, I wanted to be there for this delivery so that didn't work. He sends me an email with the corrections. I get a follow up about delivery I let him know Wednesday, December 2nd,he repeats & we confirm, I thought I was relieved. Y'all I wish this was a joke & that I'm making this up, but no, Wed, December2 comes and goes, at this point in my experience I am beyond irritated. I had to calm down and talk to them on Mon. because I just didn't not see it going in my favor. I call and speak with Brad and ask him where is my order was it's now the 7th of Dec. He tells me well maybe it was just a miscommunication your delivery was set for December 12th. He then tells me it's my pillow that is holding up the order and that since he did not want to delay my order any longer he could schedule the box springs and not the pillow and that I could go pick the pillow up myself from the Cedar Hill store, as if that were the right thing to say. The audacity is unsettling. I let him know that they should be hand delivering this pillow to me and that I'm not going to any store,I call him back and let him know they can go ahead and ship my items on different days the 12th and the 14th. If I never called was anybody going to order my pillow? read more

Megan Wilson was very helpful and courteous. We got a pretty good deal but spent a little more than we wanted. The store has a nice selection of expensive beds but not very many options for one that may be on a budget unless you want to sleep on raw springs. I will not purchase any anything from this place. As customers we have the right to shop around and that is exactly what I was doing. I had been to another place down the street from Mattress Firm. After asking questions on a bed I was given a price I ask if he could put it on paper so I could compare what the other place was giving me. The so call manager asked, where did you go and I told him. He told me we are the same company and if you are comparing pricing than you need to go do business with them. He did not stop to ask if the other place was lower or higher. He just went on and said go and buy it from them. The customer service was there as a manager you should not speak with any customer like this. What he did not know was I really was thinking of buying there but after this I will not buy from this store. Cons was a little higher but they had very professorial customer service and I am buying it here. Service makes a lot of different. Please manager dress up like one and act like a good manager that knows how to give good customer service. read more
