Today I was at the cedar hill location went in looking for an area rug to complete the look of a recently purchased dinette set I purchased from homezone 3 weeks ago. Upon entering I was greeted by 3 employees standing along side one another while 2 of them were very friendly and said hello and I replied the same the assistant manager Brittany looked at me and said "DON'T YOU LOOK AT ME THAT WAY " I had on a face mask upon entry only my eyes were showing. I told her not to speak to me like that and to leave me alone. Her attitude against me stemmed from an incident within the store a few weeks back when I expressed my disgust with the way the promotion for discounts for furniture based on food receipts was being conducted on her behalf .....she then advised that I could not remain in the store. I dismissed her provocation of me her immaturity and unprofessionalism and continued to the back of the store to look for a rug. She advised me that the police were coming. WOW !!!!!! I stopped shopping and sat down and waited for the police upon their arrival I gave a recap of the events and was told that Homezone has the right to refuse service to anyone ironically I'm A BLACK WOMAN YET AGAIN HOW CONVENIENT !!!! One can only feel discriminated against although within the past year our purchases have totaled more than approximately 10,000.00 doing business with this company ...I immediately called the corporate office only to be put on hold for approximately 20 minutes after reporting the incident the representative returned to the phone and told me that I could not return into the store . When I questioned the basis of the decision I was told that Brittany had told them I THREATENED HER .... WOW !!! I ASKED FOR SPECIFICS SHE SAID I'M NOT SURE I HAVE NO SPECIFICS....SHOCKING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT the assistant manager is a bold faced liar !!!! I requested a full investigation into the matter via surveillance and audio !!!! I stand on everything I say to be true . I've referred many family and friends but NO MORE I'll take my business elsewhere and my family and friends will frown upon this and do the same ...this is especially disturbing to say the least in a time of a social unrest a pandemic , division and racial bipartisan. If this matter isn't resolved swiftly I will consult an attorney and possibly the news media I'm sure they'd be quite interested in what I have to say !!! and how HOMEZONE endorses such despicable behavior from their employees. I'm not the Angry Black Woman some would like to stereotype and indirectly portray THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE !!!!! read more

I saw an advertisement on TV and could not believe the prices I was hearing and I, ACTUALLY, GOT A FRIEND TO DRIVE ME IN A TRUCK, IMMEDIATELY--- to go check this place out! It didn't matter that it was approximately 40 minutes away from me. I called the store to see if what I was hearing, was actually the TRUTH!!! Mr. Larry actually answered and so when I arrived, I dealt with Larry, the store manager. Mr. Larry was absolutely exceptional! I cannot even hit this information home hard enough or even express in words, the service that I received, from the honesty to the process of helping me pick things that would match since I'm not an artistic person. However, Larry, was not just a manager in official capacity, but he was able to artistically help me out, show me the best deals they were having at the time, and knowing my budget showing me the clearance items that would best be matched with other items! Larry went out of his way, to make my experience at this store a very peaceful and calm experience! Not one that you deal with a lot in high pressured sales persons, who come across as being very pushy. Mr. Larry, seemed to just know what I needed and he made it happen for me! I was able to express to him verbally what my vision was, and he was able to put it together artistically and then just really went out of his way to get the delivery to my home when I needed it not just wait 12 hours and sometime will be there--kind of stuff!!!. Every person I dealt with, whether it was with Mr. Larry, the warehouse person that loaded some items in my truck, or the people in the delivery division...this experience from beginning to end was nothing but exceptional! I cannot say anything that would even BEGIN to express the incredible experience I had with this store and their employees and management. The experience was very peaceful, so, it was an incredible experience. I highly recommend going nowhere else but to the HOME ZONE FURNITURE store! IF I AM EVER IN NEED OF ANY FURNISHINGS AGAIN... We loved that it was a non-commission furniture store, which made our shopping experience calmer and all the more pleasant. We're believers that you don't have to break the bank to nicely furnish your home (or anything else for that matter), which helped us decide to shop here. We'd done our homework and looked around at the other furniture companies throughout the metroplex (online and in person) and overall, this place gave us the greatest bang for our buck, as well as the look we desired for our new home! We noticed they even had consignment places we went to beat! Our rep Kristy at the Cedar Hill store was AMAZING from the moment we walked in the door! She was kind, professional, informative, gave us space and patiently answered all of our questions for our order. She even explained that if there were ANY delivery issues (scratching, breakage, etc), our items will be replaced without issue! We weren't phased by the wait on our custom order, but I'd strongly suggest not going in with an "I have to have it right now or die" mindset and be patient because COVID has slowed EVERYTHING down. You may have to allow up to 14 weeks to get anything custom. Planing ahead will be key to avoid the "I gotta have it" freak outs. If it's worth having, it's worth waiting for, so for the love all things groovy-- be nice and don't yell at the people because of how long it may take to get your furniture! It's not their fault they don't have what you want and they just met you! You weren't the only one that had the asme idea. But yeah, we'll be trading with them again. read more

My husband and I recently bought a mattress and decided we wanted to get a new headboard to go along with it. We first stopped at Havertys in Cedar Hill and had a terrible experience with a very rude saleswoman. We saw the sign for Home Zone as we were leaving and decided to check them out. I am so glad we did! The store was very easy to get to just off of highway 67 and there was plenty of parking. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Because they do not work on commission, there is very little pressure to buy more than you are looking for. That said, we found the quality to be so great and the price to be reasonable enough that we ended up buying an entire bedroom set. They do charge for delivery, but they 100% assemble everything. They also have an area in the back that is good for children. It has a small table for coloring and a television that shows different movies to keep the kids entertained while the parents shop. They also have a freezer stocked with ice cream free for customers who are shopping. read more

My fiance and I are so pleased with the service we received in the Cedar Hill store. We had never been to a home Zone and she had been looking for a bed she liked for months. From the time we entered and the young man greeted us and told us about all the purchase options you all offered we were impressed. Our experience only went better from there. He took time to answer all of our questions we never felt at all pressured, he was just very nice and attentive. We were later greeted by a young lady who was equally as friendly and spoke with us about the bed we'd purchased and how much she liked it. We all stood and talked as we were doing the application online because it was time to close and they never made us feel rushed at all . The store in Cedar Hill is fairly new and decent size. We went in with the bedroom set in mind that we wanted so no need to pick over what was available. Turns out the set that was advertised in the flyer was not displayed in the store but we were still able to order it with no problem. Our sales lady (Brittani) was very helpful and pleasant to work with and knowledgeable of the inventory. She didn't rush us thru the process. We ended up with a bedroom set plus mattress and I can't wait to have my first goodnight sleep in a very long time! So far, we are pleased with the service we received in the store. Just bought new sofas from Home Zone in Cedar Hill Texas. Larry Davis, the store manager helped us personally to find what we were looking for. The store personel were very friendly, as would be expected, but the difference was in their sincerity to actually provide their service, and not just make a sale. I would recommend this store to anyone in the market for new furniture. They adressed all our concerns, and were patient with us as we were making our decision. We drove to Cedar Hill to go into another store not even thinking about a furniture purchase. I saw Home Zone and wanted to see what they had since we were going to be in the market for a new mattress in the near future. As soon as we walked in the store we were greeted by Ariel. We had a very pleasant experience, we weren't hassled as we visited the store and looked for what we needed. They always made sure to check availability before telling us we could get items we were interested in and the check out process was nice and easy. First I would like to say that every rep at the cedar hill location was very attentive and helpful. They all made safety a main priority. My sales rep Robert was beyond patient with me. I had to test every couch before settling on the one I had in mind. He didn't mine. I asked a lot of questions & he didn't mind. I love how things moved at my pace, no hassle on trying to get me to buy anything other than what I wanted. I will be back for more. Went in on a Saturday we were greeted by Aurora she told us about specials and let us take a look around. She was very patient she answered all of our questions even printed out the measurements for a sectional we were interested in for us to take home and measure. Went back to get the sofa she was quick and efficient on explaining everything so we also added two dinette sets as well.
