    Great experience has with this store, my Husband and visited a number of times and the lady working (Kerri, I believe) remembered us each time and was so friendly, helpful and patient while we spent a long time trying to make a decision. Once we had finally decided the order process was easy and we got a great deal. We are members with Direct Buy and not even they could match the deal we got here! Plus the delivery time is amazing, if you order before before 2pm you can get it delivered that same day. Coming from Sacramento our Mattress was delivered without any problems and the delivery guys were great too, even working a Saturday night they were really cheerful while hauling what is probably a 150lb Mattress upstairs for us. Thank you Sleep Train! We now have the most comfortable bed we've ever had.

    I hate buying mattresses. Every store has unique brand names and styles so comparison shopping is next to impossible, descriptions are confusing (a mattress that is labeled 'firm' by one brand feels softer than the one labeled 'soft' by another), and the salesmen are always trying to talk about coil density and other arcane details that I doubt have much of an impact on a good nights sleep (800 Coils vs. 850 makes a difference - really?!). And I absolutely can't stand the theatre of lying on various beds trying to figure out which one feels just right - at best I can weed out the ones I don't like. So when my wife told me we needed a new mattress for our fast growing daughter, and possibly a complete new bed set for our guest room ("Why? Isn't there a La-Z-Boy in there?") - I tried to avoid the purchase as long as possible as any self-respecting mattress-shopping-hater would. But Labor Day and it's irresistible sales were approaching, so we all piled into the old minivan and headed 25 miles east (past the windmills) to Sleep Train in Tracy - which just happens to be the only mattress store in the Bay Area we've ever had a good experience at, back in the good old halcyon days when it was just the missus and me. Walking in, we were greeted by William F., who showed us his wares (no pressure, just the way we like it) and patiently waited while all of us tried over a dozen beds, from Sealy Posturepedics to Simmons BeautyRests to a few other fancy brand names that I can't remember, in multiple firmness and plushness levels, multiple times. My younger one even managed to get her afternoon nap in, we were there so long. But nary a protest from Mr. William. Finally we made our selection - a queen bed set and an extra queen mattress, and in addition to the advertised Labor Day sale discounts, he threw in a "multiple-purchase 20%-off-everything" discount. And when I checked in on Yelp, we got the bed frame for free, and an additional 25% off the mattress protector. We saved at least $700 on over $2100 worth of bed frame, box spring, mattress protector and two mattresses. Couple of other things that left me a happy camper: --- all our purchases came with a 100-day warranty, so we have till Thanksgiving to try out our beds --- delivery and installation were completed the next afternoon in 9 minutes flat (yes, I timed the delivery guys), and they arrived in the two hour window they said they'd come (they even called 30 minutes before they were due to arrive and got there on the dot - perhaps they were trained in Switzerland). So yes, thanks to the Sleep Train in Tracy and Mr. William F., I now hate buying mattresses a little bit less.

    Buyer beware Warrantees are not what they imply This review is for the things that they don't tell you regarding your mattress warranty until you try to use it. Original mattress was purchased from sleep train I had given them a five star review I have no issues. When the Mattress begin to sag I went into the store and asked about warranty she gave me the original receipt and explained how to get the warranty process online pretty simple take a picture fill in the questions wait five days. it was approved took that letter in to store for replacement. 1. You'll never be able to get the same mattress as per sales person previous models discontinue yearly (prepare yourself for the upsell) 2. You will pay for delivery 79.99 We wanted to pick it up per sales person "warranty" has to be inspected by driver before they actually replace the mattres 3. You will have to pay $10.50 to haul away defective product 4. Your replacement doesn't qualify for the 120 day love it guarantee not matter what you purchase you only get that once. up-grade or new do not qualify 5. Your replacement mattress does not qualify for any sale discount or special offer you will pay full price 6. You will never be able to speak with anybody at the corporate level regarding anything. you'll be put on the phone automatic loop and bounced around until they disconnect you When we went in to Tracy location to replace the mattress, found out that original bed no longer available Per the store sales person they discontinue the models yearly. During the sales pitch for one of the mattresses the sales person said " when you put your weed on it". Pretty sure she meant weight. Unprofessional not humorous at all. we were up sold into several other more expensive models. My husband and I were debating on a very expensive memory gel foam hybrid. Until I asked about the 120 days fearing my husband may not like the feel of the gel memory foam. I was informed that regardless of what we purchased we no longer qualify for any type of trial. I couldn't in good conscience purchase a $3500 mattress that I wasn't sure we would like and could not exchange. Back to square One of regular mattress shopping our model wasn't available so we did upgrade per our choose. We proceeded to the register to review the order and the numbers didn't look right and not close to what estimated for the up grade. we were informed that we did not qualify for the sales price listed on the bed of 1039. She states that warrantees have to pay full price regardless of what we were to purchase. As well as $80 delivery fee the original bed was delivered for free and a $10.50 Fee to dispose of their defective mattress. After some disagreement for my husband regarding all the fees she did act like she was doing us a favor by giving us a small discount. There are so many numbers on the final invoice that I'm not even sure what the original price of the mattress should be guaranteed low price of 1299. Or extended price 1149. Why They wouldn't honor the sale price of $1030 is totally beyond me and the reason that this review is so lengthy. had estimated with the upgrade it will be $250 more than our credit for defective mattress. It's cost Me almost 500$ to replace an 800$ warrantee mattress when it was all said and done. Definitely wouldn't recommend them and I definitely won't be shopping again if I can get my $500 in 10 years out of this mattress I'm gonna go somewhere else.

We have discovered that was a mistake. I have not been sleeping well over the last 5 years and I initially attributed that to getting older, stress on the job and some body parts (hip and knees) that needed to be replaced. Anyway, we just came back from a vacation where I slept pretty good and the beds seemed more comfortable. When we got home both my wife and I said that we need a new bed. We decided to go back to a Sleep Number Bed. We visited the Tracy Store yesterday and we were greeted by Ricardo. He was awesome. He knew the products, he took his time and explained how things had changed with the Sleep Number beds since we had last made a purchase. He was not pushy and he was very helpful. If you are considering a new bed you should consider a Sleep Number bed. They are not cheap but as I can attest - sleep is valuable and getting a good night sleep is important. You spend about a 3rd of your life sleeping. I have experienced not sleeping well for the last 5 years w/o really understanding what had changed. Just going into the store and laying on a Sleep Number bed, I knew we needed to make the change and buy one again. Needless to say we bought an I8 bed and we can hardly wait until it arrives in about a month from now. By the way, if you also suffer trying to find the right pillow like I have for years and trying and buying various pillows, you should try (or buy like we did) their Response Fit Ultimate Pillow. It is awesome. Tried it last night with our regular mattress (while we wait for our new bed) and it made a big difference. Very comfortable and can be customized to your needs. Again not cheap but worth the spend in my opinion.

    We are elderly so purchased bed by phone. Delivery was set and confirmation sent. This alerted me…read morethat delivery address was wrong. Called the store but they could not do anything. I called number given and got the address updated. No confirmation but trusted it was taken care of. Come delivery day, still not received a call or confirmation. I went on line and saw there was no delivery date! Calling store and delivery, for help and then now they scheduled it for another 2 weeks. Again I get no call back from store. Is there anyone over seeing their orders that they are done correctly? The computer was blamed for the problems. Really? who is entering the info? It is a shame that the sales team do not care once you make an order. Spent so much time on the phone without success. There should be someone who can take responsibility to make sure the sale is completed and make accommodation for the customer to make up for their mistakes. In response to your suggestion of calling your customer service, that is what I had been doing, spending literally hours with different departments to no avail. Poor response.

However, today (10/20/25 around 12-1pm) was quite a weird and negative experience. I understand that inventory is being moved around and restocked, considering the fall holidays rolling in. Nevertheless, when the associates are getting really close to your customers without an "excuse me" or heads up is not so friendly. I had make sure to leave enough space to not interfere with their work or path of action, but that same consideration was not being reciprocated from the associates. I was even close to being hit with a folded cardboard box that an associate had in hand as I was standing and looking at the fall party decor. The associate didn't even apologize or acknowledge me. It just left a really bad taste being treated like this. I may be a small person but I still deserve to be treated with the same equal space as the other customers have. Shopping here has never felt so uncomfortable.
