Mattress shopping isn't really high on my list - as in, I'd rather go to the dentist and had bought my last bed online to avoid going to a mattress store. I didn't even want a new mattress but was forced to act after movers damaged ours. The thought of another night on the air mattress was a good motivator. I also wasn't wasting time as I had a lot of other errands to complete. I found Mattress Firm Wicker Park on Yelp and boy do they change the mattress shopping game. Excellent customer service. Luis was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy at all. When I went in, I first found out their delivery availability and had to move fast (like 15 min fast) to secure a same day delivery spot. With the horrible "sleep" on the air mattress in the back of my mind, I was a no-nonsense shopper. I told them what we had before, our sleep habits, our budget, and asked to try the 3 most comparable beds. Luis was on his A-game and met the challenge well. There was no pressure to buy the most expensive option or increase the budget as I've experienced in the past. Luis totally respected our budget which I appreciated. I was a bit on the fence of trying the newer hybrid memory foam bed and the traditional spring bed especially since I was bed shopping sans husband. His assurance that we could exchange the bed within 120 days was comforting. It helped us go the Beautyrest Alcove Hybrid which we love. Luis also told me to check in on yelp for a discount. Best of all he was able to get it delivered same day. Delivery was timely as promised and quick. While it was a hectic circumstance which led to the new bed, we are very happy with the change and new mattress. I highly recommend shopping here. In fact, a few months later, my husband and I came back (with our dog in tow) to pick out a bed for our guest room. Our guests have reported it was comfortable. read more

I purchased a mattress and box spring. The value was good and delivery was dependable. Upon purchasing the box spring I informed the sales associate, Shaun, that I may need to return the box spring because I purchased a low-rise bed that may not require a box spring. At no point was I informed that you cannot return a box spring once purchased. Though the box spring was new-in-box/unopened, when I called to arrange to return it, and spoke to the same sales associate, Shaun, I was told that I should have known better and that there was nothing I could do. He then promised to call me back and never did. He may be disorganized but my sense is that's simply his method of customer service - omit pertinent info. and then lie to a customer. This was my first time buying a mattress and also had a limited budget and Anthony helped me find just the right one. He helped me when Mattress Firm was taking over Sleepys. He went above and beyond to help me exchange my mattress with Sleepys, because they were not honoring their written contract. Mark and Mattress Firm did not see any profit, but he still worked around the clock to track down the managers at Sleepys who were quite awful and not doing the exchange. I walked in on a rainy day a few weeks ago, and hung out with Luis for awhile before buying a TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze. It all went really well, I had already shopped around a little bit and got a really good deal. Delivery went smoothly as well. What a shitty company to deal with. The only good thing about this store is Louis. He's extremely nice and helpful to his full abilities. We purchased a Beautyrest mattress that cost triple the amount I've ever spent on a mattress. I am a petite woman and my boyfriend is not a large man and the mattress only gets slept on approximately 6 months of the year. We've had to return it TWICE because the center is breaking down and there's a sag, causing the two of us to roll into each other during the night. Now, mattress firm is saying that they can't do anything because they've already replaced the mattress and we are out of the 120 day period. Store managers are saying "it's beyond their control." I've never dreaded coming home more because I can't sleep at night and am in back pain from the shitty mattress. Clearly there's an issue with the product itself if they keep breaking down in less than a year. I wish we'd never walked in this store or dealt with this company. Telling me I have no options and that "some sagging is normal" on a $3,000 bed is OUTRAGEOUS. I've never complained or returned anything in my life but this is infuriating, disappointing and completely unprofessional of the company who can't take accountability or provide customer service. In addition, no one from corporate will get on the phone with me and no one from the warranty department will speak with me either. We will be taking legal action against the company. read more

He didn't try to push anything but let me know that it's always a personal preference on the best mattress to get. I came into the shop anxious on 6/15/2020. I had ordered a mattress and box spring on Mattress Firm's website, for my move, almost a month ago, to be delivered on 6/17 to my new apartment. My 8 year old mattress is sunken, it's aggravating my back and neck pain. I didn't check my email for a few days and then got an email on 6/15 that my mattress had been backordered and I wouldnt get it until at least the 6/25. I canceled the online order went into the shop anxious, with a budget and needed a firm mattress but with top padding for my arthritis. The sales associate was awesome, he listened to my concerns and budget and found one that is supportive but comfy and stayed in my budget, and he gave me the white carpet delivery free because of the inconvenience. My husband and I were due for a mattress upgrade and decided to go to the Mattress Firm in our neighborhood not only due to the convenient location but because of Mattress Firm's excellent reputation. The store's representative, Antoine Clark, greeted us when we entered the store and asked if we had ever been to a Mattress Firm, we had not, and asked us if we were looking for a particular brand or kind of mattress, we liked our current mattress (Simmon's Beautyrest) but wanted to see other available options. He was excited at the opportunity to introduce us to Mattress Firm's model for helping customers select a great mattress that meets their comfort standards and budget. Although, he did say that if we wanted a particular brand or type that he would focus on those and help us make a decision. Antoine had us try various kinds of mattresses - from extra firm to extra plush and ones with springs to memory foam and even showed us a deluxe adjustable base with foot and head raising capability and a massage function. He asked us some particular questions when we were testing the various beds to get an idea of what other comparable beds might meet our needs and let us take our time lying on the beds to get a feel for them. I always felt awkward when going in to mattress stores and lying on beds but Antoine made me (and my husband) feel very comfortable and the experience was no awkward at all. Worst experience!!!!! We purchased a split box spring on a Saturday it was supposed to be delivered on Sunday... no show, no call!!! Then couldn't be delivered on Monday so it was scheduled for Tuesday. On Tuesday they called at 10:26 to let us know it would be delivered between 20-30 minutes... I ran to CVS and by the time I got back, 16 minutes later, then drivers had come and gone. NO CALL to say they arrived early!!!!
