As an avid antiquer for decades, I've watched brick and mortar antique malls and stores dry up as internet selling takes over. What malls are left are often filled with junk or new stuff. Be prepared to be impressed by Three Stars. The sizable new location on Milwaukee has easy street parking and is worth a 20-30 minute visit easily. While the store is packed with quality mid-century furniture (this is your place if you need coffee, end or buffet tables) and art, it's also beautifully curated. Each piece is priced fairly (these are good pieces, so don't expect thrift store prices) and tagged with informative descriptions. I've gotten little things like DVD's for my kids for $1 to a big working grandfather clock for my brother, which he said was very fairly priced. Their furniture is not cheap but nor is quality. Just walked into this place to get out of the summer heat while strolling the neighborhood, and what a find! From antique jewelry and furniture to an old NES console to a chair painted with Hugh Grant's face (and signed by Hugh Grant!), Three Stars has an amazing collection. This is a fairly new shop at Fullerton and Rockwell, they have a huge assortment of used and previously loved merchandise, which is right up my alley. They also have a great selection of Bars, barware, vintage furniture, clothing, they even had jewelry and glassware, which I love to shop for..... It is good to have a new shop to go to, although there is nothing wrong with my previous favorites, the pricing is pretty fair for their merchandise. It is not like walking into a store filled with a bunch of junk, they have interesting items that people can actually use.
