While we planned to visit several local Georgetown mattresses outlets we stopped at Mattress Direct first. What attracted us first was, it was local (buying local is important to us) vet owned and they had the brand we were looking for. For context, we were looking for a specific brand used in high end hotels which they carried. Daryl was our guy. He answered our bazillion questions, we tested every mattress they had and finally picked the one for us. We negotiated a good deal including 2 cool pillows and cool mattress cover and it was delivered yesterday by Christian and Jorge, 2 good guys who were very respectful and efficient. Stopped in to the store on one 0/29. I was in a bind, I needed a mattress very quickly. Was trying to make a same-day purchase. The owner of the store was super helpful. He helped me find the exact mattress that I needed, and for a price that I could really afford. And while I wasn't able to get it the same day I was able to get it the morning of the very next day (they even threw the delivery in for free). The delivery team arrived early. The mattress was being delivered to my mother who lives in an assisted living facility. The delivery drivers were so awesome. They sat her existing mattress to the side for me, and even remade her bed for her. Talk about going above and beyond. read more

About a month ago I was looking for a new mattress. I'd known for over a year I needed one as I was sleeping on a 15 year old Serta. I'd done plenty of research. I've owned Beautyrest Black, Tempurpedic, and many others in between. Texas is hot and I'm hot sleeper and also wanted a foam mattress because they are generally lighter and easier to move. Not a realistic combo. I really liked the top end Purple mattress but it looked over priced. All of the mattress sales people told me it was over priced and wouldn't last long and Georgetown has a LOT of mattress dealers; I've been to them all. I almost ordered a Ghost Bed online based on reviews and coldness but I didn't pull the trigger. Anyway, after visiting all the stores, Mattress Gallery Direct was my last stop on the way home, after 5 other stores dealing with the same exact seller wearing a different face and all saying the same thing. Nothing wrong with that, and I could have gotten a deal elsewhere but here's what stood out about Mattress Gallery Direct. The owner (Austin) greeted me personally and directly. He didn't pitch anything, he simply asked what I was looking for in a mattress. Then showed me a few. When he asked what I thought, he started talking about the materials. Now every seller gets some training but this dude was knowledgeable, and passionate. Yes, he was actually passionate about the materials that went into a mattress and what their pros and cons were. Very impressive. So I left and told him what I was leaning towards. I came back about 5 weeks later and he made me a screaming good deal on the perfect mattress. I've had about 3 nights on it now and could not be happier. Final thoughts: Veteran owned and operated, carries brands the other stores cannot, knows hella lots about beds and comfort, and will treat you fairly, with respect. You couldn't ask for a better purchasing experience, from greeting to delivery. If you need a mattress, head to Georgetown and go see Austin. 5 Stars all the way. read more

As soon as we walked into the store in Georgetown, Austin greeted us with a smile and was ready to help. He helped us find the perfect mattress within a few minutes, and after we brought up our transport dilemma, he offered delivery the next day. In under 24 hours, we had our brand new mattress and my kid couldn't wait to crash on it.
