Why does it seem like every time I go there the store is empty?…read more This store is clean and well organized, but usually has just one check out person and one other person roaming the store restocking the shelves. Do your feet hurt? Sit in the furniture department and stay awhile! The staff will NOT rush you out of the store. They love to see customers hanging out in the furniture department having long and nonsensical conversations about nothing... Feeling tired? Take a nap on the display beds... JUST KIDDING...but the staff are pretty cool and laid back, so if you wanna stay awhile and doddle, it's okay, doddle away! I love the chain and the great deals they have, but I hope the lack of foot traffic doesn't prove fatal. Everyone seems to be flocking to the other big conglomerates, but I'll just stick with my BigLots. I love it there.

The prices have remained lower than most competitors. Many old favorites as well. Yes, the staff at this location and others are very friendly. Always willing to help or have a nice brief conversation. If you are a regular the greetings are even better. I am very anxious for the newly renovated store in Berlin to open. Can't be soon enough! A store worthy of supporting and if you shop here before hitting the other local big markets you will save.

I was in the market for a sofa, as I had just purchased my first home…read more The first floor is full of overstuffed chairs, love seats, in a variety of contemporary styles (only). I made my way upstairs to the 2nd floor where they have sofas and mattresses. I selected a boring "green" sofa. I found it to be weird that I would choose a "green" sofa, but it looked nice in the show room and seemed like a safe, neutral choice. I asked the salesman several times, "that's green?". He assured me of the color. So, I cough up the $600 in cash and was looked at like I had two heads when I requested a receipt. I inquired about delivery, and they do offer it, for like $40 or $60 bucks or something. I was mostly confident that my husband and I could heave it up the 20ish steps or so into my living room. So after a confusing trip back and forth to the warehouse, the driver seemed confused as to what couch/color he was getting and where it was located, hence my desire for a receipt. We loaded it into my truck, completely wrapped in cardboard and plastic. The driver looked at the tag and confirmed it was the right one. Sooo. We get it home and my husband and I have the delightful task of carrying the beast up the stairs. We get it into the house and I am anxious to cut the wrapping off. I start peeling away the layers and slowly to my dismay, realize the damned couch is BROWN. I can't believe it. I was so fussy about deciding on GREEN, that I get it home and it's the wrong color! I am shocked, covered in sweat from moving it so I immediately call P&S and tell them the couch is BROWN. They confirm the color I purchased is correct and that is what I got. They suggested that I bring a throw pillow from the couch back into the store to check the color. SO, I go back down there, bring the pillow in and it magically turns GREEN. Apparently, there is NO NATURAL lighting in the store, only fluorescent. I end up keeping the damned thing, but I was forced to paint the living room and remove the existing carpeting because it looked so ugly with the brown. I recommend taking a pillow or fabric sample OUTSIDE if you are particular about colors. Otherwise, save the money and hassle and buy the same cheap Ashley sofa at BIG LOTS for around half the price.

I don't understand the bad reviews...this place is awesome! Yes, it's a bit cluttered and you might…read moreneed to hunt and peck a little, or ask for prices on certain items, but that's just part of antiquing. We chatted with Miranda, the owner's daughter, and she was so nice. Prices are typical for many antique stores - a mixture of bargain pieces and high end. We went there looking for a headboard but ended up leaving with a really cool lamp, side table, and a ton of books. No complaints here on prices or the experience. We can't wait to go back. AND there's two adorable shop dogs -- what more could you want?! :)

Found a vintage table that I knew all about-a good piece....on a good day at a reputable auction like Wright-which specializes in this era - it might go for $1-1500 (one just sold this year there for below its estimate...estimate: $1,500-2,000 result: $1,260). Of course there was no price on it, so I asked. Well the "expert" owner started to give me the big sales pitch..."Well its handmade from Italy (its marked SWEDEN) and its .........$10,000. I kinda ran out of the store when I heard that. The place is purely for disposable income types that don't care about prices or what they're buying.....anyone looking for quality or bargains shouldn't waste a second here.
