Charged me $400 dollars for part I could have replaced don't go here he's a scam. He just wants your money.

Where do I start? First time I went there, Matt got me in when I had a time crunch, even though he was quite busy. Started taking my three vehicles there, and every time, good service and good prices. An old truck was having some road noise issues. I took it to the dealer, who wrote me up a service order for $2600. I suspected that Matt's could beat that price. I left the truck at Matt's, but Matt called me after 20 minutes, and said I needed to come back to the shop. That worried me a little, but when I got there, he had my truck up on the lift, and showed me that all 4 items the dealer said needs replacing, were sound and didn't need repair or replacement at all. Saved me $2600 (less the cost of the shocks that he pointed out were in poor condition..and then almost all the road noise went away!). That sure cemented me to use only Matt's. Brought my cargo trailer in prior to a long road trip, and I wanted them to check everything out. They did, and when I offered to pay, he said "No charge. Didn't take us long, and you're a good customer..." or something like that. I am a mechanical idiot, but they never talk down to me, or make me feel stupid. And I always get a fair price from them. No wonder they are rated #1 in Iron County so frequently. read more

We got real lucky to find Matt's Auto & RV Repair. Had a small battery problem. New batteries I installed myself and didn't realize that I had tripped a breaker underneath my tagalong. Matt was helpful and knew what to look for and quick to reset for me. And he had a son chomping at the bit for football practice. Where do I start!? Matt is hands down the best mechanic I have ever come across. Not only did he diagnose my engine issue almost immediately, he began making calls to get me a new engine right away. My engine threw a rod and I need a new engine! Thankfully the one I had is under warranty and Matt has extensive knowledge replacing engines. I truly believe it was pure fate that I found him. If I hadn't I have no idea what I would have done. Matt went above and beyond. He also made some phone calls to help me get a rental and I was able to continue my trip to Moab. Changed the spark plug, and continued to work the problem. They were able to figure it out. A faulty wire!!! They could not have been nicer and even apologized for getting the floor dirty. ok. if you look, there are *seventy* five star reviews on google, and nothing else. my first thought is.... what a fake.... *NOBODY* gets everything perfect. someone always bitches. always. until now. this one marks #71. i got $100 that says he earned every one of them, fair and square. i lost a fuel pump on a jeep going up to cedar breaks, at 10,000 feet, on an 8% uphill grade, on a blind curve. that is a separate story. the tow truck driver who fetched us down the hill, said... take it here. jeep sent the wrong fuel pump, because, well, jeep. cost us a day. Matt pulled it together in 2 hours, after dealing with jeep's incompetence. this was all done on a handshake, as if anyone shakes hands any more in pandemic land. he was a quart low on what fair market value is for the work he did. i took exception to that, and made up the difference in cash. the man is worth every dime of what he charges, and more. so are his mechanics. seriously, if you go anywhere else after reading this, you deserve what you get.
