I was referred to SUCC by Auto Zone after they couldn't help me. I'm really glad we were because I was going to take my truck to a big name auto shop. With those you never know if certain repairs on your vehicle are really necessary but with SUCC I have no doubt I'm getting an honest assessment. My truck was diagnosed immediately and after finding nothing really wrong I was told what might have been the problem. It was explained in great detail and was even given instructions on how to handle the situation. Chuck, being an ex truck driver, even gave us instructions on where to stop to let my old truck take a brake on our journey. I believe I was speaking with Chuck. Absolutely awesome service. Got a flat while traveling and pulled in to get tire plugged. Chris plugged the tire and unfortunately still didn't hold air as there was two holes right next to each other. He sent us down the road to Walmart to get tire replaced and didn't charge us for him plugging the tire. Very nice small town respectable guy! 10/10 would recommend! read more

So, I pulled up yelp, and told her a few places to call. She called Southern Utah Car Care and he told her to bring it in any time that day. What a blessing! It ended up being something very simple and inexpensive to repair, and to the mechanic, was probably no big deal. But, to us, and our daughter, it was massive! He didn't try to take advantage of a young college student that knows nothing about cars, instead, he was kind, he fixed the problem and charged a very fair price. To say owning your own business is hard is a massive understatement. I can't even imagine if that business is auto repair, considering you're only ever dealing with people on their worst days. I understand any mechanic who sets good personal boundaries and values their time above all else. Which is why I'm completely astounded by how outstanding Chuck is. We found ourselves in a "worst case scenario" - blowing a transmission while towing a trailer for a cross country move with our two dogs. Chuck helped secure our trailer after hours the night we found ourselves in his parking lot after running into him by chance, and despite having a ton already on his plate, he got our diagnosis the next morning, and located a few new transmission options shortly after that. Unfortunately, we couldn't wait for the repair or afford the additional week stay in town. Which means he wasn't going to end up getting our business for the repair. Most people would probably send us on our way and leave us up to our own devices at that point, and from a professional standpoint they'd have every right to. But that didn't prevent Chuck from continuing to go above and beyond to ensure the items in our trailer and our vehicle were all safe, make himself available countless times over the course of 48 hours as we sorted out swapping our cargo trailer for a U-Haul truck and an auto transport for our vehicle, including helping us load it, return our original trailer, AND even offering us rides in the process. When all was said and done the time he spent versus the compensation he required were widely disproportionate. I can't stress enough how good and kindhearted of a guy Chuck is. If I could afford it, every time I had an automotive issue I would fly him to wherever I was, put him up in the nicest hotel, pay for every meal, and all his time and work -- and it would be worth every red cent. read more

Fortunately for me, Chuck at Southern Utah was open after Thanksgiving Day and answered the phone. My Jeep died in Brian Head, and even though the battery was able to be jump started, it never held its charge, and we needed to get back home to CA. I was stressed out about the problem being a bad alternator, but Chuck was so helpful and very honest over the phone. I had the Jeep towed to his shop and he fit us right in and checked things out. He tested the alternator which turned out to be just fine. I just had an old, dead battery. He called over to the auto parts store and they delivered the battery asap. He got my son and I in and out in under an hour. While waiting, it was a pleasure getting to know him. He's an all-around nice guy. I appreciated his over and above helpfulness and made us feel very welcomed. He also gave me recommendations to great local coffee. If you're a local, Chuck should be your go-to mechanic. What an amazing place! Bought a battery at autozone, but they couldn't put it in because I have a hybrid vehicle. They recommended Southern Utah Car Care just up the street and I went. He was so incredibly friendly from the get go, he helped me right away and put my new battery in. When I asked how much I owed him, he told me not to worry about it. They were able to get all my car lights fixed and it was cheaper than jiffy lube. I took my car in to jiffy lube and they could only get half my lights replaced due to missing parts (I have a 2009 car). The gentlemen here was able to get the parts he needed after short wait and got all my lights replaced, including a difficult light with some DIY work that others weren't able to get to.
