Our local Christmas tree farm was closed this year. My wife heard about Dart's Christmas Tree Farm and their unique trees. I must point out, When I got married, I wanted a white Christmas tree like my grandparents had, its something nostalgic. A white tree grows in Brooklyn! Every year I'd tell my wife, let's get a white tree! And every year she'd say, sounds great as she had me cut down a green tree... This year is going to play out my way. My son is home from Boston and we all head out to Dart's Christmas Tree Farm. Once we park the car and start walking to the farm, I can see their unique trees in the distance. Blue trees, Purple and White trees are all pre cut and ready for purchase. I found the most beautiful, full white Christmas tree. Blue would have been cool but I want to get the white tree out of my system. I also purchased a live Christmas tree with a root ball for planting (It's green) Walking towards the gift shop, it's another plus. They have an outside fire pit blazing and are selling hot beverages. Inside there are ornaments and other items to decorate your Christmas tree. A young man helped me strap the tree to the car. Once we had the tree home, my sons helped me get the trees out of the car. The White tree has been standing strong for over a week. It's fully decorated and none of the needles have fell off. It's a healthy, freshly cut Christmas tree. First time at Dart's Christmas Tree Farm, if you're looking to have a funky or a traditional Christmas tree, look no further than Dart's Christmas Tree Farm.

They take some getting used to but once you see all the colors it's hard to decide on a favorite! The gift shop was adorable and had a bunch of local items for sale (I'm a sucker for local stuff), and handmade wreaths. They were selling hot chocolate outside and there was even a food truck which I think changes often so check their website/Facebook page. They have some animals on display but in a quiet area (not near parking like another place we stopped at), but the trees here are a bit pricier I noticed, if only by a little (the colored ones get steep). This place is a must visit at least once!!! I'm probably going back again around dusk so I can get different pictures. I love it!!!

This is the farm that used to do the "all you can carry" but things have obviously changed in 2020 and dogs are also no longer allowed. Now that we're all upset; we know why it's a 3 star review. The plot is huge and goes on forever. Even through covid; family's flocked to the farm to pick up their pumpkins & hay stacks. We walked through with masks even outside and at a 6ft distance. The disappointment this year was the crop. It took forever (even though we hit the farm first week of October) to find a pumpkin that wasn't already rotting. Something is either in the water; like they drowned or animals ate them or too much hand sanitizer! I have no idea but as we turned them over they had holes & dings, cuts and sad spots all over. We accumulated a bunch of pumpkins all different colors which was nice that they have an assortment of gourds and textures. Damaged or not we picked what we could. Some rotted within a week from too much damage but the pics were fun to take and my mom actually enjoyed trying to find one that wasn't gashed. Lol. The little things in life actually just made me feed back that 4th star.

You have to pay extra for everything there and there really is very little to do. There is nothing for older kids at all. They have a very small bounce house and barrel ride both which cost extra $$. You can only do each activity one time. We were there for maybe 15 minutes. The hayride was probably the most pitiful one I've ever been on. It goes around the pumpkin house on a small patch of lawn with pumpkins that you have to pay to purchase. The hayride and the plastic duck races were the only thing you could do with the price of admission. They should not charge admission at all imo. My backyard is more exciting. When I went to ask about the bounce house tickets I mentioned there wasn't very much to do. The owner was very defensive. We left shortly after that conversation. I told her we wouldn't be returning when I left. She followed us out yelling. I actually had to tell her to back off and leave us alone after she almost knocked down one of my two year olds. Someone else in the parking lot told me they would even let them in to look at the flowers with out paying admission. They were a couple without kids with them and they lived nearby.
