I've got to check this out. So, headed that way. When we arrived, we were greeted with a helpful and friendly vibe from the staff members behind the counter...along with the traditional ice cream shop aroma. As you look around...you'll begin to notice area nostalgic antiquities. This added a next level engagement, as we enjoyed our food and ice cream. Food-wise...we split the loaded nachos. Yummy!!!! I will say personally, I could have used a dab more of the pork...but, it was still tasty...as they were spot on with the amount if the other toppings. After that...we each got our own life cream and buy was it delicious! Definitely recommend and will return!!

Beware...the crowds are big and the lines are long. But...it's worth the wait!! At the bottom is a medium sized cube of slightly warm shortcake. It is moist, sweet and slightly firm. The top of the cake has a thin layer of almost crispy granulated sugar - more sweetness! The bowl is piled high with fresh, lush, red strawberries. Some sweet, most firm and a little juicy. A good sized dollop of vanilla soft serve and whipped creme lay on top. The combination is delicious! It easily feeds more than one dessert lover for about $9.50. Strawberry Shortcake marks the start of spring season. Make a special trip to Upland to visit Ivanhoe's if you have never been there!

I ordered my sandwich and got it without incident.....Until....... The cup of soup I ordered they didn't have enough of, so the guy said he needed to get more. I said I would wait with no problem. Seconds later he bought me out soup that I swear he added water to! It was broccoli and cheddar water! There was zero flavor and crackers didn't thicken it up! The sandwich was good. The manager did correct the issue, but overall, not a great first impression.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

We ordered the onion petals for an appetizer and those were good. Mom got the tenderloin with mashed potatoes and green beans and I got the fried chicken with all white meat and mashed potatoes and gravy with Mac and cheese. Mom loved the tenderloin and green beans, and I liked the Mac and cheese, neither of us liked the mashed potatoes because they obviously loaded them down with sour cream which didn't taste good with gravy on it. The sour cream overpowering the potatoes so that was a no from us. I wanted so bad to like their fried chicken but they cooked it so long it was like tire rubber and some parts couldn't even be pulled off the bone. The place was nice inside and they have a nice patio outside and it was a nice 82 degree day but it was so windy Mom wanted to eat inside. They bring out a basket of bread and their butter was delicious. Mom tried the XXX root beer and liked it. The iced tea was okay, We would go back again but I would be hesitant to order the fried chicken next time. Someone beside us ordered the taco salad and it looked delicious.

I heard about this spot from friends so we decided to take our old car out for a run on a cooler August day. We sat on the patio which is about the size of the indoor dining room, about 8 4-top tables with overhead fans. We both ordered the Hoosier, a tenderloin sandwich fixed to order, fried or grilled. They are very generous in size and decently flavored. The Mac and cheese side was lackluster but the french fries are amazing and it's all served on china with cloth napkins, wow! Our waitress did a great job so, altogether, a nice lunch spot.
