    Rental MT-07

I called Errol on a Saturday afternoon while in Maui to get info on renting a bike. He accommodated everything I needed to have an awesome day on the island with a great bike, including gear at a very reasonable rate for the next day! The bike was great and had no issues. He even gave me route recommendations which turned out to be an awesome ride! Thank you Errol!

While visiting family over Christmas break, I finally did something I'd been wanting to do for a long time - rent a bike and ride the Maui coast. Maui Motos has a wide selection of different bikes, and I was glad to rent a Harley that was perfect for my day. Errol was easy to work with, flexible, and very communicative. I would definitely rent from here again.

We enjoyed ourselves very much , it was a smooth rental process . Would definitely recommend.

The short version: if you're on the fence, just do it. I've ridden many awesome roads all over the Southwest continental US. UT, CO, AZ, and Northern and Southern CA. Angeles Crest (the "Crest") was my backyard and a weekday favorite for years. The Pacific roads, including Mullholland ("the Snake") were frequent go-to spots when I lived in West LA. Inland mountains are now regular favorites, and they're all great. I've had over 40 bikes and have covered well over 100k miles. My experience in Maui riding Maui Moto/Maui Dual Sport's Bonneville tops the list of "best days riding." I had high hopes for Maui; I knew it would be pretty. I knew I'd have fun. But my mind was totally blown! I was grinning ear-to-ear all day. Errol has a wide selection of bikes and through our just discussing bikes he pointed me to a bike and routes he knew I'd love. Errol is the real deal; a true enthusiast with a passion for motorcycles he plainly takes immense pleasure in sharing with others. He's a down to earth dude and a rider first and foremost. He knows the island well and was gracious enough to give suggestions and steer me in the right direction with where to go. I opted to go solo, as that's more my style. But he happened to be able to make himself available by text and he provided additional suggestions later in the day when I reached out. Most of the best routes he highlighted on the giant map on his shop wall at the start of the day. It all worked out sublimely. I took a ton of pictures. They all turned out great. But pictures never do the real deal justice. The best spots, the best views, the best curves, happened in the moment. My timing with the roads and the sun worked out perfect. I've had a lot of good times riding bikes. But the ride today was like the best dream. Conclusion: trust this guy. He'll steer you right! Thanks again, brother!

Fantastic service and great bikes. Errol and his wife Iuliia were both amazing and he recommended amazing spots for us to cruise with beautiful views. 10/10 will be renting whenever we come back.

Maui Moto Adventures 4/2/2023 Have you always wanted to ride a motorcycle in Hawaii, but were concerned with all the logistics, then you are reading the right review. My wife and I booked a cruise to the four major islands of Hawaii for our wedding anniversary. We wanted to rent a motorcycle while visiting, as it "was" the only state we had not ridden a motorcycle in. After much research we decided this was the best island for our ride, and that Maui Dual Sport, was the best place to rent a bike. It is a safe, easy 1.2 mile walk from the port, or you can ride a Lyft car for less than $9, Uber wanted $26. We walked. Our NCL ship ported in Kahului, Maui for two days. Two great places to ride are, the Road to Hana, and the road up the Haleakala volcano. You ride from sea level to over 10,000 feet in two hours, what a ride! If you choose the road to Hana you can rent a KLR650 dual sport Kawasaki and ride the back road, avoiding 4 hours of tourist bus traffic on the way. This ride should be on day one, because it's an all day trip. If you choose to ride up the volcano or along the coastline, you can rent a NC750X Honda, which is much easier to handle on the island roads, than a big touring bike. My wife has ridden on the back of a Gold Wing for 23 years and was anxious about riding on a smaller seat with no backrest, but that was not a problem for her on this bike. I rode the 750X with and without her and had no handling or power problems with the 6 speed transmission, it is a fun ride. The fuel tank light flashes somewhere after a 100 miles, and that is a good time to top it off. Running out of fuel could present a significant problem. The bike has a storage compartment that can hold a small bag for water, snacks and extra gear. Even though it's 80 degrees when you start, place a warm pair of gloves and jacket in the compartment before going up the volcano because the temperature will drop into the 50's. The bike also has a mount for your phone GPS and a charging port, so bring a short charging cord if you are going to be out all day. The owner of the bike rental shop, Errol Easland, has lots of different bikes to rent, and you can also rent gear like helmets, riding jackets, and gloves. Errol is quick to answer text messages, and is a pleasure to do business with. He went above and beyond normal expectations, to make sure we had a great time, and riding experience. He and his wife are bikers and are a great asset to the biking community. If you still think you might not be up to doing it, we are 73 and 68 years old, so no excuses, just do it.

Riding a motorcycle on the Road to Hana was simply the highlight of our visit to Maui. I highly recommend it, but . . . This company is weird with their insurance requirements and it nearly killed our Road to Hana experience unnecessarily. I have full motorcycle coverage for me and my two sons. The owner demanded we provide a document from our insurance company (Mercury / Drive Insurance) that specifically states we are covered in Hawaii. We wasted over an hour of riding time at his shop trying to get this document from my insurance company. They simply don't have any such document but my insurance agent told him over the phone we are covered in all 50 states. The owner begrudgingly relented and accepted my agents assurance he was protected renting to us but this whole ordeal really put a negative vibe to the beginning of our day. After we got on the road, all that B.S. was left behind and we had an awesome day on motorcycles, but boy that nearly ruined everything. For the owner . . . #1. When renting the 200cc dual-sport / enduro, be sure to advise the rider that they can't make it to Hana and back on a single tank of gas. You knew we were doing that and you said nothing, my son ran out of gas on the way back, luckily the fuel petcock wasn't already on reserve and we made it to a gas station on reserve. #2. We rented 4 bikes from you for a single day, paid close to $1000.00 Tacking on an extra $25.00 after we left for a full face helmet upgrade was kind of a low blow in my opinion, especially considering it was a used cheap helmet that could be bought outright for about $150.00 brand new. #3. You had a bunch of SWAG (Shit We All Get) stickers promoting your business on the counter, they had your QR code on them. These are to promote your business and shouldn't be considered a source of income. You should give that kind of stuff away, happily I might add, not bust our balls for $2.00 per sticker, that was totally lame on your part. My son is so cool, he stuffed your tip jar with dollar bills, I would have just let you keep them, then you had to quip . . . "if you're not paying better not take more than one" . . . . Jeeze dude! I give them 3 Stars out of 5 due to the things I mention above. He seems to have a lot to learn if his business is going to really thrive but if he learns from experiences like ours and tries to do better, I'm sure he will do just fine.

Fantastic time!! Jake and Johnny kept us very safe. They made the experience fun great and memorable. Great stories. 10 out of 10 would definitely do it again. Highly recommend.

This is the best way to enjoy the road to Hana! I rent from Maui Dual sport every time I visit Maui. Don't hesitate, book early to snag the bike your want. I prefer the klr-650 for the Hana road but they have other bikes!

These guys were terrific! Wonderful people and they really went the extra mile to work with myself and my friends. Thank you so much!

Renting from Maui Moto Adventures was a great experience. Errol was happy to take time and give us guidance as to where to ride and eat. Bikes were great, a couple of dual sports for a couple days were perfect for exploring the island.... and the little duke 390s were perfect for cruising up Haleakala... I can't say enough about the great experience we had with Errol, and will certainly rent bikes again when we return to Hawaii... Thank you Errol! - Jason

Highly recommend, Erol the owner was really great, extremely accommodating and his bikes are in great shape. He also has all the gear; helmets, jacket (with D30 armor), gloves, etc. My wife and I rented the Honda NC 750 and we had a blast. Erol gave us a ton of suggestions of some of the most amazing rides I've ever been on. All those roads are less than 15 minutes from his rental shop. He also does guided tours around The Road to Hana.

I reserved an e-bike on December 21 for a Christmas Day ride, with a return on the 26th. Their online system let me submit the reservation without any warnings or restrictions. But when I showed up to pick it up, I was told they wouldn't rent it to me because they're closed on the 25th, and someone else had the bike booked on the 26th. They also said they needed time to tune the bike in between. That explanation is understandable. What's not understandable is that nobody told me ahead of time. If they had reached out earlier, I could have adjusted the plan. I didn't even mind paying for an extra day to make it work. The bigger issue is that the reservation system shouldn't allow you to book dates that can't actually be fulfilled. I'm open to giving them another try, but they really need to fix the reservation process and communication so customers don't find out at pickup that the rental can't happen.
