Absolutely fantastic experience with Dr. Kim (if having MOHS surgery could ever be fantastic)!…read moreEveryone in the office was helpful, compassionate, friendly, and just fantastic. Dr. Kim explained everything very clearly and had wonderful bedside manner. Stacy and Krystelle (I'm not sure how to spell her name) were both fantastic and the front desk was incredibly helpful. When you get MOHS here, you stay in the same room the entire time rather than shuttling in and out of the exam room. They take good care of you (which is good, as the wait is long) while you are going through this process. The surgery was smooth, and the follow up care was wonderful. The office called the next day to see if I had any questions or issues, and the directions given when you leave are very clear. Getting my stitches out a week later also went very smoothly, and my incision site looks much better than I had hoped. I have had several different MOHS surgeries with different doctors in different locations. All of them were fine, but this experience was far above any of my previous experiences. I really hope I never have to have MOHS again, but if I do I am really glad to have Dr. Kim and her staff to return to!

I was able to talk to her over the weekend and even send her pictures. She stayed on top of everything, even as I had to see an infectious disease specialist as well for an infection I got after the skin surgery. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is compassionate. She is extremely thorough and explains everything that is going on. I trust her.

Just a heads up, this is one weird dude. He was hostile and short from the start. When I tried to interject to clarify something he held his hand up for me to stop talking and did not care to ask me what my question was once he was done recording. Not sure what the recording device was for because he had an assistant in the room who was scribing and coding things in the computer as he dictated. He gave me his diagnosis right after and did not care to discuss it. I asked if it would be possible for a biopsy to confirm and he got pretty huffy, saying that it is not necessary because he is 99.999% confident in his diagnosis and do I have any reason to believe he was not correct? He prescribed steroids. It did not help. It was also extremely hard to even get an appt. I had state insurance at the time and could not get an appt. My gp had to call directly to strong-arm them to schedule me. I suspect being underinsured had something to do with my treatment and their refusal to do a biopsy. I went in months later with excellent insurance to see another dermatologist and voila! they were happy to do a biopsy. Of course, results were inconclusive, and this dr. had no clue what my rash was and just gave me steroids.
