But go ahead, ask your question." As if I was offending him by having concerns. As if by asking questions I was somehow challenging his expertise, rather than acknowledging it. As if this wasn't exactly the right time and place to ask questions. A bit shocked by his dismissive comment, i initially thought I should simply leave and find a different doctor. Then I thought about the weeks I had to wait just to get this appointment, and starting that process all over again, and I swallowed my pride and simply responded, "No, never-mind." But I also knew then that I would eventually write a review in which I told prospective patients this story, in case anyone preferred not to be disregarded in this way. To be fair, I am pleased with the results of my surgery. I had researched Dr Patel and never doubted his skills. But I was offended by his manner at that initial consult and believe that patients deserve to be treated better.

They ignored my messages and continued to simply change my appointment saying some providers had left, their schedules were unexpectedly full, the clinic nearby could no longer see me etc. I have saved all of those messages from them so that when I talk to my insurance company it is very clear about what is happening here. I wish they'd just told me at the very beginning that they couldn't see me and I would have simply gone elsewhere. Save yourself the stress and avoid this group.

As a result of her arrogance and poor bed-side manner, the retina of my left eye came completely off, when, had she simply used the machine to examine my eye, my vision could have been restored. As it is now, the image created by my left eye is displaced vertically and is rotated. She reattached the retina in the wrong place. It is worse than being totally blind in my left eye. I asked her if she could cut the optic nerve and relieve me of the torture but she declined. She is smart but too full of herself to be an effective doctor.

She had 2 trainees with her and told one of them to hold my head and open my eye like I was some kinda of animal. It was humiliating, painful and horrible. Even they seemed uncomfortable! She then just dismissed me! I was so upset that the receptionist hugged me and helped me report the incident. They sent me to the Cascade Sunrise Location in Pullayup for better care and treatment. I am not sure if she was actually reprimanded for what she did but I would recommend a full review of her conduct based on my experience and some of her other reviews!

I would only recommend going here if you have full medical/vision coverage…read more I paid out of pocket for my son and he got glasses (over $1000 with lenses), exactly one year later they recommended a different type of lens/same prescription, some wipes, and over the counter eye drops ($1300), they told me to come back for a follow up which consisted of him reading one single eye chart with an assistant and talking to the doctor for less than 5 minutes ($100). These were all paid at time of service which supposedly includes a discount. I was told previously that follow ups were free, so the added $100 after being robbed for $1300 just to toss the existing expensive lens he had (unless I wanted to buy another frame $$) was the last straw. I imagine all of the good reviews are coming from people with insurance that aren't seeing the insanely inflated costs of everything they are billing for. Absolutely insane, will not be back
