Karla is an absolute dream to work with! Over the past 10 years, I have had fortunate opportunities to move around the United States for my career, and often it has been within a month's notice. This move to Boston happened in two weeks - so it was an overwhelming situation to find a safe and decent place for an Asian female (this social climate has been often times stressful and triggering). I also had a budget and a maximum distance I could be for work because I wanted to walk since I don't drive and wasn't comfortable taking public transportation in the (hopefully) tail-end of a pandemic. Karla was so incredibly helpful! We had to conduct virtual tours as I was not in Boston yet, and Karla was able to accommodate that. Karla kindly explained the viewing/application process. Karla taught me that Boston realtors will typically ask for a deposit to go with the application (and an standard application fee) because people will often submit SEVERAL applications and not necessarily be serious about a rental. (Note: I asked because another Boston realtor had the same requirement, and it wasn't something I was accustomed to). But I can understand this approach because it does take quite a bit of time to process the paperwork. Anyway, the first apartment Karla showed me was one that I thought I would like, but it didn't speak to me on the tour. And let's be honest, with a two week timeline, I was desperate to find a place. I also only visited Boston once for a day-trip, so Karla was kind enough to keep me on a virtual tour of the area so I could see how the neighbor was like during the day. She completely understood my concerns of being in a safe neighborhood as I'm an Asian female. After expressing the desire to find something else, possibly in a specific building and neighborhood, Karla sent me an email an hour later with several listings. She specifically provided me with large open studios that were in very good shape (nothing was run-down) that were in my desired neighborhood. All were within my budget, several that were well under my budget. She was able to find two rentals in the specific building I was interested in, and we put our focus on one of those two rentals. Karla was able to hold a virtual tour the next morning, and even provided me a tour of the neighborhood so I could see how quiet and safe it is. Throughout this entire process, Karla was super quick and responsive with any questions I had and the entire process. The owner of this apartment had their own realtor, and Karla made sure the owner's realtor responded quickly specifically because I had a crazy short timeline. She understood the stress I was in and was extremely vital in being able to start an initial search, view apartments, and sign a lease within 3 days. She even texted me at 10pm on the 2nd day to let me know I was approved for the apartment just because she knew I was stressed out. SO, long story short: I found a great apartment in the building I was hoping to live in that was well in my budget and it's in a very safe, quiet, and very accessible neighborhood! I first got in touch with Fiorelli Realty in December or so. I wanted to get my contact info out there for one bedrooms/studios in my price range, which are hard to find. I was contacted twice by them, I believe both times in December, confirming my info and that I was still interested in apts, something I thought was a good sign. Both times the agents were very amiable, informative, and helpful. Throughout the past month and half listings have shown up on Craisglist and no one contacted me. Additionally, I would call about listings I saw that had been rented a day or two prior. The gentleman who seems to handle the rentals in my price range is young (not usually a problem, I'm young too) but seemingly uninterested in developing any customer loyalty or actually providing a service. Most recently I saw a studio for under 1k, and it was as though my 13-year-old brother was showing me the apartment. He seemed to have little knowledge of the building/landlord or interest in actually completing a transaction. I came to find out the building had a roof deck AFTER the showing from someone else in the neighborhood. In other instances I wouldn't receive calls back from the agent and would have to call repeatedly to get in touch. read more

I saw a listing for a great North End apartment, and contacted Fiorelli reality to take a look at it. Kathy was able to show me the apartment very quickly (hence the 2 stars!), she definitely made all sorts of promises that were definitely NOT kept after I put down my money and signed the lease including "the rooms will be repainted", "the shower will be all cleaned out", etc. The WORST was when I looked in the freezer and the previous tenant had 6 inches of frozen ice, with what looked like used cooking oil spilled and frozen in it. I asked Kathy to make sure that this would be cleaned before I moved in, which she assured me it would be. Of course it wasn't, and it took me 2 hours to clean out all of the ice and the frozen crap that was stuck in there. Tip: get everything a realtor says to you in writing! read more

Fiorelli Realty is great! First things first - my boyfriend and I worked with Cadien and Ally. Cadien took us on the initial visit to our 2BR apartment and Ally took us the second time and took care of the paperwork... both of them were great! They accommodated our request to see the apartment a second time and answered all of our questions without being pushy at all. Also, it was nice to find out that Cadien actually lived in the North End - I felt like it made his description of the area and his recommendations more reliable. But I think that my positive impression of Fiorelli Realty resulted not just from my positive interactions with the people *I* worked with but also with the office dynamic and customer interactions that I observed while waiting/signing things in the office. It's a really small office, but everybody in there seemed to be very friendly with each other. Also, I felt like Ally was just so positive and pleasant with everybody that stopped by the office. I found these guys on Craigslist and only needed to see 2 apartments before lucking out and finding the most perfect place imaginable. My heart was set on North End, and even though everyone said it'd be impossible to find a place there within my budget, Ally pulled through in a BIG way. She is knowledgeable about the market, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. She means business and is a serious go-getter--an absolute superstar. It's apparent that her clients' satisfaction is her number 1 priority. Mike, another staff member who happens to live in North End, gave me the scoop on my new neighborhood and filled me in on the restaurant & bar hotspots, which is incredibly important to me. He even took the time to find out and note the exact route I would take on the T to my workplace in the suburbs. Luis (another staffer) walked me to the apartments I viewed and essentially acted as my right-hand man throughout the process. On my second visit to the apartment, he helped me take measurements and map out my new place. He helped me feel right at home in my new city. Also, their office is in a great location and the office environment is professional and modern, yet welcoming. Apparently broker fees are quite common in Boston, so I guess I can't complain too much about that. The fee is one month's rent. Questionable business practices. I filled out an application to rent a condo and my actual application was never presented to the owner of the condo yet this company tried to keep my administration fee for my application claiming it was nonrefundable. I spoke with the agent and the broker and they eventually refunded the so-called admin fee. Since they never actually presented my application God only knows what they're doing with all of my personal information. I spoke with several Realtors in the Boston area and they all thought that the situation was not right. Renters and buyers beware you might write up an application or an offer for a home that never gets presented. read more

I have known Kathy and Ally for almost 4 years now and what once felt a friendly, family run business has taken a turn for the worse. I have plenty of time to write this review as I was just told they were going to charge me $60 for a "lock out" fee. That seems rather steep considering I can actually see their storefront from where I'm currently sitting locked out of my apartment. I know this was my fault but for the last 4 years, I've told everyone I know who is looking for a place in the North End to definitely stop by and talk to Fiorelli. I didn't really think using a key for less than 5 minutes is worth $60. They might be great at finding you an apartment (they went above and beyond for me) but I suppose once they get their broker's fee, they don't care much for customer service anymore. I have an hour to kill as I sit on my steps to share my story. If you do use Fiorelli, just make sure to never lock yourself out of your apartment!!!! read more

Unprofessional and questionable business practices. People with pets beware - when showing my apartment they regularly locked my cat in the bathroom and left him there, I am pretty sure one of the realtors, Emelia, kicked him a few times according to video footage. They also entered the premises multiple occasions without my permission to show the apartment and then lied about it. Glad I had a Nanny Cam up to catch them. I moved out a couple weeks before my fully paid lease was up, and they again, entered the apartment without my permission and threw out items I was coming back for without asking me while my lease was still in effect and I was fully paid on rent. Worst customer service experience I have ever had! After renting for 1 year I wanted to resign my lease, my landlord worked exclusively with this company for all communications. They wanted another application fee, and another full months broker fee to resign lease. When I asked why, they said they could recommend not to resign. They are running a scam to collect as many broker fees as possible even when not warranted. I paid the broker fee when I moved in less then a year from when I was looking to resign. Ally would not answer my simple question, instead spoke in only a condescending manor. Disappointed with the lack of genuine customer service. And, although not Fiorelli, the building management/owner of the building we lived in was essentially non-existent (communication was done through Fiorelli, very odd), only caring about the money we sent them. That is what you would typically expect I guess, but when you move in and are living in an apartment that is literally falling apart and definitely not complying with certain codes, the realtor and management should absolutely take notice and action. I am going to guess that the charges that were taken out of our security deposit are the same charges that were taken out of the previous tenant's, as nothing seemed to have been fixed for years and years in that building. read more
