I am a man with long hair, and it's not an exaggeration to say that I have NEVER found anyone who could cut it with the finesse, love, and intuition that Gull brings to every cut, and that's not for lack of trying. I don't even live in Florida anymore, and still come back regularly to visit because she is SO much better than any other stylist I have ever found. I also finally got a chance to work with Ulises as well this last visit and the man is a wizard! I have midnight black hair, and he was able to create blonde/silver highlights so artfully and tastefully, I couldn't believe it! I could not give a higher recommendation. I came into Maurici's for the first time today looking for a cut and some highlights and was blown away by the time I left! I was greeted and offered some nice lemon sparkling water as soon as I arrived! I was introduced to everyone and by the time I left it felt like I was part of the family! Ester, Gull, and Ulysses took care of me as a team. Ester and Ulysses created beautiful chocolate and blonder highlights which is exactly what I wanted. Gull blessed me with the best hair wash and massage I've ever had and gave me a beautiful blowout to finish. Everyone was so kind and helpful and made sure I was fully taken care of. Booked a full hi/low light ($165) on their website. I didn't ask for any different or more service. They said total was $250. When I showed them their website, a stylist became rude and insulting, saying "oh, you're one of them". After 10 minutes the owner honored the correct price of $165. I would not go back. Bait/switch, adding services without telling/asking The stylists DID do a good job with the highlights but NOT full. read more

I was very disappointed with my hair appt. I was barely recognized as a new client and all conversation was between employees. I asked for a simple cut asking for it to be cut just above my shoulders and trim my bangs. However it was decided that I should part it on the other side, cut in layers (I just got it all even length), brought forward to cover my face, and was still sitting on my shoulders. I don't think my request was even heard. I Don't recommend going here unless you want a complete change. read more

I went to Maurici's salon for the first time yesterday to have highlights done. My hair was over processed with bleach. Esther did highlights and low lights with color and cut and blow dry. OMG! My hair is gorgeous and healthy. I cant get over how I walked in and how I walked out! I am so happy with my hair, she is extremely talented and so nice & professional. I was tired of my shoulder length hair. But nervous about a short cut. Gull styled my hair and made it short-according to a style I showed her. For the the first couple days it was quite a shock, not having hair, but after a week, it was beautiful and I was getting compliments. I loved the style. It looks sophisticated. I went back for a trim. Very satisfied. I will never wear my hair long again! Having shorter hair means getting trims more often but I love the polished look and the easy blow out. I've been in Florida 2 years and had a very difficult time finding someone to simply cut my hair without having once side longer than the other, cutting it way too short and getting the color all wrong. I decided to give this salon a try and was so happy with my color and cut. Tracy is a pro at color and just as sweet as can be. She made me feel very comfortable and she's so easy to talk to. Maurici, the owner, cut my hair and I can assure you this is a man who knows what he's doing. He was very accommodating and spent a lot of time with me. The salon is relaxed and welcoming. Tracy gave me a corrective cut and color and dis am amazing job. I had gone somewhere else originally and was butchered. I was basically given a mullet, and so distraught that it would ever be able to be fixed without waiting months for it to grow. Tracy did a beautiful job blending the uneven pieces without having to take off a lot of length at all. I had a horrible dye job also, a trashy yellow blonde that made me look years older. I looked like a lemon. The blonde i asked for and brought a picture in of and what i got, were practically identical. She really took the time to talk to me and find out what exactly i was trying to achieve, and when i asked for her honest professional opinion about things i wasnt sure of, i was not disappointed when i took her advice. I work in a night club as an entertainer, and my hair has paid for itself many times over already, and customers and co workers, men and women, have complimented me and asked me where i went . This salon is amazing! I have been going to Tracy for years in New York for color and Keratin and was so sad when she moved to Florida but just visited her at ML International and was blown away. As always, Tracy's work is perfect. I have very hard to color hair and she gets my highlights and lowlights perfect every time and the Keratin is amazing.
