I ordered carry out from Maurizio's for the 1st time recently. The place is small and tucked away behind the local DQ. I was quoted 30-35 minutes for a pickup order, I arrived after about 20 minutes and the pizza was just coming out of the oven, hot and fresh! The staff is very friendly, polite, and efficient! I ordered a large American sausage, pepperoni, and green pepper pizza. Additionally, I got an order of pepperoni bread sticks! I thought everything was good, however the pizza sauce is very, very SWEET!! A little too sweet for my taste. I will definitely order from them again just to try out more of their menu. read more

My favorite pizza!! Consistently good!!! Unfortunately, the dining room staff, especially front of house manager was quite rude recently. We asked for reservations because I wanted to come there on my birthday because it's my favorite pizza (747 special of course). They would not take reservations and said that we could just come and reserve the tables when we got there. When we got there, the apparent front of house manager kept saying I'll be with you in just a minute. That went on for about 25 minutes. Terrible service!!! we eventually, (after all 10 of our guests arrived) said "we're just gonna push these tables together if that's OK." They said, no, you can't do that because it will block people from being able to walk through. All it did was block me from being able to converse with all the people that came there for my 60th birthday. Very, very disappointed at this place!! Great pizza, terrible service ! I remember in high school when someone ordered a 747 for a party (a huge pizza that feeds a crowd), you were sure to be there. Those who stayed the night always ate pizza again the next morning! Although I've had many different styles and varieties of pizza in my life, I still consider Maurizio's my personal favorite. From the sweet tomato sauce (not ketchup sweet, think more of a marinara with a tad more sugar) to the crispy crust, it's definitely one of a kind! We dropped in for a pick up order one evening. I called ahead for a veggie special and was quoted 30 mins, it was ready in 20. You can dine in here, or pick up a to go order at the convenient window right inside the door. The woman who waited on me let me view my pizza and was quite friendly. The willpower it took not to eat it in the car was astonishing! The pic reflects the cooled product but trust me, it didn't affect the flavor one bit. We had tried to call at least 4 other times to make an order at various days and times and finally got an answer! The sauce tastes weird/too sweet. It was about 35 min for pickup which is not a big deal but everything was soggy within an hour. Even as leftover pizza (which is a fave) it was not worth it/taste didn't improve. read more

Favorite pizza place ever! I have been going here since I was a little girl. It's the home of the 747 pizza! Great for feeding a large crowd. They also have awesome salads and sandwiches! Spaghetti specials on Wednesdays. The pizza sauce is on the sweeter side. I love that about it but some don't. My favorite is the Hawaiian pizza with ham, bacon, and pineapple, but I also love plain cheese pizza too. My family is a fan of their cheeseburger pizza with hamburger meat and bacon. Stuffed breadsticks (with ham and cheese) are yummy! The place is awesome clean and packed most of the time. The staff is always friendly and helpful! Known for there famous monster pizza, the 747. Enough to feed a crowd! Piled high with the finest quality of toppings. You almost have to eat this pizza with a fork. the fact that they far anchovies is a plus, however there's way to much sauce and it's to sweet. They way the pizza is cut is not traditional and not orderly nor even. Because of to much sauce the cheese slides off when you bite into the slice dropping onto you as you try to eat. I loved the anchovies but will ask for less sauce and more anchovies as it was there seemed for a large they were pretty well spaced out.the crust was okay but cooked fully. if they were to unsweetened then sauce and put less of it on it would have gotten more stars.
