    Lobster Ravioli
    Courtney H.

Great! Definitely worth the drive from Terre Haute. I got lobster ravioli and we got bruschetta as an appetizer. The bruschetta is a whole experience. If you tend to like caprese salad this is a must get! The lobster ravioli was delicious. I didn't eat a ton because I ate so much of the bruschetta but it warmed up well! Service was great! Atmosphere is old time and local. Definitely will be taking the drive back.

Great food every time we have been there. The pastas are authentic and yummy. The sandwiches are great and perfect size! Waitress was sweet and knowledgeable about the menu.

I was visiting family in the area and they suggested Gerri's for dinner on a Friday night. I grew up in a small town and now live in a city, so I actually get super excited about visiting small town favorites. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday and they were very busy. A good sign. We were greeted immediately, seated immediately and they were so friendly. Our server came right away and answered many questions we had about the menu. The menu is plentiful with so many options. The mushrooms and fried cheese looked amazing, but the portions were huge and more than two people could eat with a meal. That said, we opted to skip an appetizer and just went with two meals instead. We ordered the Veal and Chicken Parmesan. Both came with a side salad that was HUGE, breadsticks with marinara sauce and pasta on the side. It was so much food that I was nearly full when the main entree arrived. This meant I had lunch for the next day as well! Overall good experience. Service was great. Excellent price for what you get. I've definitely had better Parmesan dishes, so I would give the food taste a C, but the quantity and service an easy A. Like I said previously, the side salad is huge. Added bonus, the house made balsamic is delicious. On colder nights, don't sit by he front door and windows. The draft is pretty intense and requires that you pretty much keep your coat on for dinner.

    Boomer Swiss!

Our server was so friendly and ensured the kitchen was accommodating to food allergies at the table. The portions were ample and tasty.

I am writing about a delivery, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. I took a star off because they did not provide any utensils or napkins in the delivery bag which made for a delayed meal since I had to go searching for a fork. The garden salad was very good. So crisp and fresh. The tomatoes were yummy, and I liked the surprise of celery amoungst the greens. The greens were mixed and not just iceberg which elevated the salad quite a bit. I always say I judge an Italian restaurant by their sauce, and this one was ok. Very sweet. Not thick. It wanted for something. I ordered the half portion of angel hair pasta, and it was still a very generous amount. I added a meatball which tasted more like an Italian sausage in a ball with a bit of spice and a chewier consistency. I wasn't mad at it, but it wasn't the seasoned ground beef crumble I expected. All in all, the meal was good, just lacking in some of things I expected from a place everyone seemed to like about it. I would probably go back and maybe try some of the other dishes next time I am in Terre Haute, if only to see if maybe it was just that order.

The two ladies I was dining with still enjoyed the sauce with pesto and they brought me out another... each of the sauces I tried were yummy! The ambience is a mixture of a French restaurant meeting an Italian restaurant somehow looking like an American Diner with a menu that had a little of everything. Our server was very attentive even though the restaurant was full and she seemed to be the only server. She was delightful and gave us good recommendations. My coworker ordered a Caprese Panini and a Caesar salad. Obviously this wasn't my recommendation if you've read any of my other reviews! She said it was a great sandwich but wasn't a fan of the homemade chips. I was impressed that she didn't give me the stink eye when I explained my need to photograph her food :) I had the lunch portion of chicken parmesean that was really good. Nice portion of chicken and pasta and a great flavor - I would definitely order it again. Oddly, this came with a side of my choice just like the sandwich menu. I chose a side of fries and they were ok fries. Nothing Earth shattering but not bad. It's a great lunch option at a reasonable price and I'd return if I found myself in the area. Where else can I get a burger, a tenderloin, an order of onion rings and a fettuccine Alfredo all from the same place!?

My wife was spending some time up here and drove up to surprise her for her birthday! Reservations at the counter so we could watch Chef Geno work his magic! The food is usually spectacular and tonight did not disappoint! We split the Caesar Salad to start which was plenty. And then I had the Pasta Rags and my wife had the Pasta Carbonara. Both were as good as they looked! Perfection! No splitting dessert! I had the Tiramisu and she had the Chocolate Cake. Both to die for! The bad: The wait staff was not very engaged. I wanted this review to be about the food but that just wasn't meant to be. The Ugly: I am very well travelled on 3 continents. I've dined elegantly as well as from street vendors and I have NEVER had service that was this off putting to the point of being overtly rude, and I am an American who has eaten in France and doesn't speak much French. When we wouldn't sit at the bar, even though the main area was only 1/4 occupied They moved our party of 2 into the side room with chairs up on tables. It went downhill from there. Due to this, it wasn't possible to really enjoy what should have been a fine meal. I will say it is a wise policy to ask for payment and tip ahead of this type of service before it is provided.
