Mavens Market is two stores in one. The first being a cheese shop and the other being a sandwich and gelato shop. There is also seating area in the latter. We discovered Mavens Market because we were in search of brunch and the favorable reviews on Yelp brought us here. The four of us each ordered their own breakfast item. * Eggs & Ham $13 * Greek Goddess $13 * Avocado & Tomato Toast $13 x 2 First off, the bread they use for the sandwiches is so good and they do a superb job getting such a great toast on it. I tried both the Eggs & Ham and the Greek Goddess and they were both very tasty. (Each of my kids had their own Avocado & Tomato Toast, and they were not sharing nor did they have any leftovers.) It does take a little while for the sandwiches to be made, so don't come here if you're in a rush. (They also have a steady line up of orders coming in for pick up, so just be aware.) The great thing it that it gives you a chance to check out their cheese shop. We actually returned a few hours later to grab some lunch and got a couple of different sandwiches this time. *The Full Maven $13 *Grilled Mozzarella Panini $13 Again, both sandwiches were really good and traveled well. Stopped off at this cute little artisanal charcuterie spot to grab some bites for a graze board, and had a very pleasant experience. The woman who helped me even cut up some of the cheese for me because I was concerned about the quality of the knives in my Airbnb, provided samples of some of the cheese and meats I was interested in, and some recommended pairings (wine, and a jam) to accompany the items I chose. I ended up purchasing a 1/4 lb of Jamón Serrano, 1/4 lb of St. Angel Triple Cream, and a little more than a 1/4 lb of 3 month aged Manchego, along with an uncured bacon marmalade to pair with the triple cream cheese, some crackers, and a Pinot Gris. This is my kind of market! Maven's Market is my kind of market. I could spend so much time and money here. They have really good cheeses, wine, spices, crackers, I could go on and on. Did I mention homemade gelato? We picked up a few cheeses. Note, the cheeses are fresh sliced into chunks, not slices. We also picked up some marcona almonds which I love, some crackers, snacks and of course a pint of gelato. The lady who helped us was really friendly. Maven's had a little market inside that serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches that looked great. Just a small place on the corner however with big options inside. These guys are amazing! I had ordered their gift basket online from out of state to be delivered to a family member that lives in the area. Unfortunately, a third-party uber eats, door dash, etc. had picked up the item from Mavens Market, but never delivered it. I called Mavens Market, let them know the item had not been delivered and they quickly arranged to have a second basket delivered by their staff in person the same day! This review is strictly on their ice cream and drink. Omg this place is so good. We came here because we saw a post of nitro cold brew float. After thinking for a bit, we decided to just get the nitro cold brew separately and get Gelato separately. For the gelato, if you get the waffle cone, you can fit up to 4 flavors!!!!! And it's only $5.50! The waffle cone is homemade for sure and it's bigger than most places. We ended up getting raspberry cream, tiramisu, lemon cream and salted caramel. It was soooooooooooo good. The gelato is softer than ice cream but the flavors are alll there. The nitro cold brew was one of the best cold brew we had. The staff are super helpful in building your personal meat and cheese trays, the quality of the food is outstanding and you can find other fun culinary accessories here. I love mavens so much! Their prices are awesome and love the quality tasty ingredients. I do hope they work on their customer service. I go here pretty frequently and have only been impressed by the customer service once. One time a clerk was taking away ice cream and I said I was hoping to get that kind is it all done? The clerk just goes "nope" and walks away. If they get over the customer service hump I have a feeling they'll be a long standing Bozeman restaurant! WOW! So first the cheese shop, what an incredible selection. Great service and offer a sample of anything of interest. Same for the meats. We ended up with two meats, hot salami and capicola, and three cheeses Emmentaler, gorgonzola dolce (my fave), and provolone picante (my other fave). Then wandered over to the cafe side for some gelato - espresso chocolate chip - killer. Went back a couple of days later for breakfast. My wife ordered the Full Maven and she said it was the best sandwich she's ever had - saying something as she's in her 70s. I went with the Southwest Maven. Both were egg sandwiches (check out their website for details), and along with coffees, will hold us until dinner.
