The awesomely sweet, salty, and spicy Mangonada. Try it!
    Will V.

When I travel, I love to find examples of diverse cultures and cuisines, especially if they are authentic and locally owned. I loved finding this spot while on a short work trip to Bozeman, a city with many good places to get traditional ice cream. Michoacan a Pedir de Boca USA is truly one of a kind. An amazing array of both traditional and unique, Mexican influenced flavors of ice cream and popsicles (paletas) alike. I had the Mangonada, a super creative dessert treat that is sweet, spicy, and salty. The sweet is the mango sorbet, which is the dominant ingredient and the flavor is sweet and creamy. The spicy (mildly spicy only) comes from the Tajin seasoning and the salty comes from the chamoy, a sour fruity taste. You should try a Mangonada if you haven't had one before, as it's probably like no other dessert you have had. Make sure to scoop up some of the really tasty popsicles/paletas to go. I like the mango with chile and the coconut best.

Awesome! So glad this is here. The mangonada's are delish! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Selection was mind blowing! Definitely be back

One of the best ice cream parlors that I haven't countered in a long time especially with all the flavors of the ice cream that they provide you including the cotton candy coconut cream and strawberries and cream. The esquite Which is corn mixed with cheese from chunky cheese a little bit of hot sauce mayonnaise is delicious. I recommend everybody to come and try it. The Tamales are to die for and everyone should try. They have Very friendly stuff including a drive-through if you're in a hurry and you can always swing by and going by and pick it up.. They also doordash so but I definitely recommend you stop in and try everything hot or cold depending on what you're looking for you will not be disappointed.

It took me ten minutes to decide what I wanted because everything sounded so good! I will definitely be back here again and again until I try everything. Also the blonde girl who helped us was super nice. For Bozeman, ice cream is usually overpriced but this place I feel is priced perfectly. Definitely much more in a college kids budget than Sweet Peaks or Genuine. Can't wait to go back!

    Delish!.

I'm all for conservation but it felt closed and I wasn't a huge fan of that. When we walked in, there was a man leaving and the person working the counter made a mean comment about him that I couldn't tell if it was light ribbing about one of her friends/good customer or if she was actually being disparaging towards him. She was fairly friendly towards us, even though she was very busy doing whatever it was she was doing. I was very interested in getting some honey but we weren't allowed any samples, which reading other reviews, I feel like we should have been offered some samples. There was a large variety of different honeys and some of these sounded so good but I really didn't want to buy such a large portion without knowing what it tastes like. We also didn't end up buying anything because there were no jars less than 4 ounces. You'd think that a touristy spot like this would have some travel size options. I didn't want to check my bag for a large honey I wasn't sure of the taste of, so we ended up leaving without a purchase.

We ended up with a couple of bison tenderloin, elk tenderloin, a couple of really big burgers, some coleslaw, roasted vegetables and baked beans with brisket. We also picked up a bottle of local BBQ sauce. Service was friendly. We enjoyed everything. Oddly enough, both their coleslaw and baked beans were unexpectedly spicy. Thankfully the roasted vegetables were not spicy. We enjoyed the meats. The only downside, we found the same BBQ sauce at a different store for $3.00 less than we paid. Otherwise a really nice shop, just beware of the spicy slaw and beans.

**November 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were looking for some local Montana gifts and food and saw the huge Co-op building on a drive down Main Street. The parking lot is kind of small, but we were able to find a spot to squeeze into on our visit. When you enter the building you'll see an impressive self-serve section and I noticed quite a few people loading up their plates or to go boxes. There's an island of ingredients to make your own salad and a couple of home made soups, and another area for hot items. My mom and I decided to share a squash soup, a small salad, and an assortment of hot items including South Carolina pulled pork, mac n cheese, biscuits and gravy, and mashed potatoes. I also decided to try a local kombucha which was really refreshing. We grabbed our utensils close to the exit and headed upstairs to enjoy our food. After we devoured everything we perused the main floor and bought a lot of Montana based goodies including teas, Bequet caramels, soaps, and skincare products. Suffice to say I spent quite a bit of money here, but I'm happy to support local and be able to share the Montana spirit with my family and friends! I'd say Community Food Co-op is kind of like a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with a great emphasis on sustainability and local goods. Price range is $$-$$$ range depending on the items.

We discovered Mavens Market because we were in search of brunch and the favorable reviews on Yelp brought us here. The four of us each ordered their own breakfast item. * Eggs & Ham $13 * Greek Goddess $13 * Avocado & Tomato Toast $13 x 2 First off, the bread they use for the sandwiches is so good and they do a superb job getting such a great toast on it. I tried both the Eggs & Ham and the Greek Goddess and they were both very tasty. (Each of my kids had their own Avocado & Tomato Toast, and they were not sharing nor did they have any leftovers.) It does take a little while for the sandwiches to be made, so don't come here if you're in a rush. (They also have a steady line up of orders coming in for pick up, so just be aware.) The great thing it that it gives you a chance to check out their cheese shop. We actually returned a few hours later to grab some lunch and got a couple of different sandwiches this time. *The Full Maven $13 *Grilled Mozzarella Panini $13 Again, both sandwiches were really good and traveled well. I actually saved half and reheated it on the pan the next day. It was still very good. The cheese shop next door is adorable. I love wandering through shops like these and would probably visit often if I lived in town. Since we were flying out in a few hours, I had to resist purchasing anything since we only brought carry-ons. I was very tempted though! But you can easily find anything and everything you would want for a charcuterie board, night out, picnic, etc. I could have easily filled a whole basket of yumminess to enjoy.
