Stopped here on Sunday on the way to Laughlin, I was very hungry and was hoping to find something edible in here! They have hotdogs with a condiment bar, that originally caught my eye, but the I saw premade burritos, but they were kind of small for the price! Then I saw Bonfire Grill, they had huge slices of Supreme Pizza for $3.00! This pizza wasn't just good for gas station pizza, it was good pizza period! It was a bit thick but it was light and buttery, the crust was delicious! The toppings were your standard toppings but they were well distributed and tasted pretty good and fresh! Driving through Kingman, AZ , I saw a sign for Maverick and decided to stop in. The cashiers looked like they were tag teaming the customers, and the cook staff were getting the stations set up for the next big rush about to happen. This place was pretty busy but hardly any wait time to cash out and head back out to the car. I like dealing with happy people and all the staff seemed happy to help. read more

It's a bit chaotic and disorganized inside, so finding things can be a bit of a hassle. The price of gas was considerably cheaper than in Flagstaff though which was a surprising but welcome discovery. read more

Everytime I ride thru Golden Valley this is the store I would stop at, staff is very friendly and helpful, food is good and decently priced. Great selection of cold drinks and plenty of parking. Gas prices are good considering the location. read more

Bait and switch pricing. Beware of the prices when you're paying cash. You have to have a membership to get the lower price on their sign.

I used the Nitro card and was changing banks and I guess one of my charges got caught in the change and was declined. Maverick never gave me a chance to pay for it before they sent me to collections and another $25 was added to my bill. This is ridiculous, give a person a chance to pay the bill before you send it to collections. Not a way to run a business. read more

A woman named Meryl was working when I was there and she was very respectful to us. This is written during the corona virus but a guy came in no shirt with his underwear hanging far out of his pants and he went to reach for a cup which he is not supposed to do a worker is supposed to do it but before he did that I complained about the no shirt next thing I knew he was outside waiting in his car for his wife to bring them the drinks. Tried to fill with gas, pump would not take my card. Went inside and was told I had to prepay. Tried to leave my card while I pumped. Again Told I have to prepay! She rudely added "we have always made people prepay" ... like I should have known that being from out of town. Sign on pump said you could use a card. They also have a small staffed kitchen offering (made-to-order) breakfast selections (such as breakfast tacos and bowls - but their idea of "Huevos Rancheros" is not what you'd find or be served at any Mexican restaurant). read more

My son and I just left there worst experience. A cashier name Lori told me that I could not bring "him" back here when I come back... I asked why and she said he was 21 I told her so he is my son. Everything in the store is higher than all the stores in Kingman. Bathrooms are bad and plugged up toliets and stink bad and workers there are not very good. Managers are junk. I pick Safeway in Kingman for gas. read more

The Maverik has cheap gas. Whoo! It's even cheaper if you have a Maverik card. And this locale also houses the Golden Valley post office. I shit you not. Sometimes I stop here for gas on my way back to LA since my parents live close by. There's a small food store with plenty of doughnuts and soda pop and road trip treats, and there's always lots of interesting desert folk hanging out. And I locked my keys in my car here once. That was fun. Update 11/24/07 Well, I was shocked to see that the Maverik was gone when driving to my parents' house on Thanksgiving. The sign was still there, but the building was gone and a new building was in mid-construction in its place. Luckily I did not miss my turn onto Adobe Road because of this like my sister did. According to my parents, they tore down the old Maverik a few weeks ago and are building a new Maverik. My mom added, "Hopefully it will be cleaner with new staff!" The post office has moved "down the road" somewhere. read more

Fill up and gas up on the way out of Laughlin. Not too crowded and good price and selection of snacks. Bathroom to use before you hit the road in earnest. Nothing fancy and not a big chain but convenient. read more

Luv this place! Always the cheapest gas before you get to Laughlin or Kingman. Fairly clean restrooms and a good supply of goods in the country store. It's always had the best gas prices on that stretch of road. read more

Been coming here for 8 years. The only complaint is that they are really struggling with a good staff. A lot of good folks have left and some followed the old manager to the new store in Kingman. Get it together! At least the beer is usually cold, but the fuel prices have been consistently a bit higher that they used to be by comparison to other stations. read more
