Safeway has done a tremendous job. The store us appealing and looks great. They have a great staff, friendly. I highly recommend.

The produce lady on Sunday at about 10:30 am, was very rude. A big girl, dark hair. It was like I was a nuisance to her. She needs a refresher course in customer service. She gets a big 0. I shop here all the time when I'm here seeing my parents (which is quite often) . Usually always a good experience but the last two visits have been extremely disappointing . The first was a checker who was extremely rude to myself and my son. I believe her name was Kathleen R I spoke with the grocery manager as the store director had left for the day. This last visit I bought flowers for my mom as I always do as soon as I get into town usually they are always nice well this trip most of the flowers were dead or dying. I found a bouquet that looked good but the second day my mom had them all the flowers were dying even after cutting them and adding the food. The quality of this dept has definitely went down and I will now have to go elsewhere for her flowers. read more

The meat department is great the female the works back with the team is always ready to assist you with your needs kudos to her and the Meat team. Do not buy chicken breast from this place!!!! I regularly buy chicken from here and never had a problem until a few weeks ago the package was swollen and asked them if it was ok they assured me it's just air from packaging big mistake me and my wife got the worst food poisoning of our lives to the point of having to be out on a fluid Iv drip at the hospital. The store manager was extremely rude and did not care in the slightest and tried to blame us I already reported them to the FDA and now contacting an attorney for my medical bills. You think your saving with discounts and fancy apps? Think again! The quality compared to other stores has declined substantially. The Sarah Lee apple pies were priced a dollar more than other competitors, and the beef ribs were nothing but fat for $20 Cashiers are hard to find, they prefer you ring yourself up, and you usually have to try to make eye contact for a checkout clerk. They make you work for the discount by taking photos on your phone. I wouldn't mind if the quality were better. I'll try Smiths across the street next time I'm in town. read more

We left and drove across to Safeway -- the difference was huge. Very Very Clean Store -- there was a young man cleaning the carts & he immediately greeted us & gave us a freshly sanitized card. We ended up spending just under $300 & will definitely be back without any doubt -- we even saved fifty a gallon off our gas. read more

Here I go again about Safeway in Ft. Mohave, AZ. During my visit on Friday, 9/2/2022, I bought 2 sweet personal watermelons for .97 cents each, for the 1st two. It is on the front page of the weekly ad that started on Wednesday, 8/31/2022. Clearly stated, and you cannot miss it. When I got home, I checked my receipt as I always do because I do not trust them at all. The price on my receipt for the 2 watermelons were $7.98!!! This was Friday afternoon at 12:34 in the afternoon. What I am getting at is, when did the price change, and if it didn't, that means that everybody that purchased the watermelons, paid that same price and got ripped off by Safeway again. This is outrageous and clearly a problem that should not and can't keep going on. I will be calling the corporate office again and talking to the store manager tomorrow. This is not the first time I have been ripped off, and I am sure it won't be the last. I will keep shopping there, because their sales are good if you can get them. Also, their different departments have good value and variety. BE AWARE AND ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!! read more

10/21/2019 I drove 9 miles to get some deli fried chicken for dinner today. Looking from behind the counter I coudn't tell what the chicken looked like while she gave me an 8 piece. I opened the bag and my wife got the 2 wings which were on top. They were completely dried out and she had to throw them in the garbage. The smell of the chicken was like old dirty oil. We pulled the skin off because it was so salty. I wasted my money and learned my lesson. This chicken should have been thrown out and a new batch fried in clean oil. Yuck. read more

Today during my shopping at Safeway, I witnessed numerous bad attitudes from the staff. I saw multiple cashiers look at another customer and laugh/joke about what she was wearing. On top of that, the cashier who was bagging for me, Richard, seemed to be giving judging looks and aggressively bagging our items resulting in our produce getting bent and crushed. The employees who were stocking produce and dairy were the complete opposite, helpful and polite. Overall, the cashier staff has a bad attitude and needs to be checked. read more

Forgot to mention that the deli makes an amazing veggie sandwich. All the veggies are fresh (they won't even use the avocado if it's slightly brown) and if you pick up the meatless deli meat from the grocery store, they will even put it in the sandwich for you. read more

Bought $18 worth of grilled chicken today (24 pieces) and lady in deli says she can't put them in a paper tub (like KFC) even though they were sitting right there. The reason why was the tub costs too much and the chicken was on sale. This was "store policy". Instead she said she "had too" put them in little paper trays inside a bag which we had to be careful not to tip over. Checkout gal agreed that it was ridiculous! Listen Safeway, you've got the NUMBER ONE grocer in the world across the street from you now!!! Treat your customers better!!!! I'll be shopping at Walmart tomorrow. read more

I recently switched from Smiths in old Bullhead to Safeway in Fort Mohave. Their Pharmacy staff is absolutely amazing and so is their front end help. The store is neat and tidy and it's a pleasure shopping there. read more

Also the manager came up and told us that our Yorker puppy cannot sit in the cart because we overheard a customer complain. We have brought our dog many times without an issue. Just ordered a breakfast burrito and a turkey sandwich from the deli. The two ladies working the deli were awesome! Best service and very polite and nice. And the food was amazing these girls definitely put pride into the deli department. store management should definitely take these ladies performance Into consideration. Went twice and both times items I needed had expired! Orchard cider had expired in November, sour cream expired November, hot sauce two months ago. This is only some of the things. Go to grocery outlet or dollarstore if you want expired items. Very disappointed with this Safeway location. Granted it is desert area but with todays transportation and close proximity to hwy 40 there is absolutely no excuse. read more

Although Smith's right across the street seems to always beat Safeway when it comes to price as far as groceries go, I typically choose to shop here instead because it's a hell of a lot cleaner and easier to get around the d*mn place. Gas prices are usually always the same, but cleanliness and customer service seems to always be a plus here when comparing with Smith's. I do wish their groceries were a bit cheaper though. read more

I was one week post operative & I needed my prescription of pain medication filled. It took over 2 hours to get it filled. I dropped off prescription then I went to post office. I called & my order was not ready. I went to McDonalds & ate & sat there over an hour waiting for pharmacy to call me, which they never did. I called them & they were verifying my Rx was valid. I decided to go back to pharmacy to wait, which I did & I waited another 45 mins in their waiting area. I was in pain & I could hardly stand or walk. It was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this pharmacy to no one. When I confronted them about this, they laughed it off giving me some lame excuse. No empathy. Never will I return to use them as my pharmacy. read more

Terrific service at the Smith's in-store Starbucks. Although the shift "team leader" was training the other staff member, the service flowed nicely and they worked well together. This was a very nice Safeway. When we visited, they were going through a remodel - and having worked for the company, I know how tough that can be to maintain decent conditions. We stopped here to stock up on beer & snacks for our weekend getaway over at Harrah's in Laughlin. Excellent customer service, and very nice conditions, especially considering the remodel status. When we come back on vacation, we'll be sure to stop here again and stock up on our supplies. read more

Love the fact we have this store just 2 miles away plus a Smith's across the street from Safeway. It keeps prices down and they both sell gas. And ORGANIC foods and great bakery counter. This review is specifically for the Signature Cafe: WHAT A MESS. I've continued to get sandwiches here for years because I'm not a Subway fan, but it's such a pain, every single time. There are never enough people in the deli, so it always takes 15 mins or so just for two sandwiches. The ladies usually act like you're bothering them. Then they slap the thing together so sloppily, it's nearly impossible to eat without making a mess. They glob the condiments on the bread so thick & messy, it just squeezes out all over when you bite into it. If you ask them to spread it, they just smoosh it all together... mayo, mustard, sub dressing. Ew. Today I had Tina trying to slice fresh bread with a dull knife, and was basically turning it to shreds. When I asked her for a new one she seemed flustered. She remained polite but I could tell she wasn't happy with me. It's such a bummer because the sandwiches are good, and I'd probably eat here often if it wasn't such a production. read more

Today (Xmas day) I woke up with food poisoning from frozen scallops purchased here. Three months ago I got food poisoning from chicken purchased here. The only safe place to get meat in this small town is Sam's Club, but it's 25 minutes away. Do not buy meat, seafood or fish here. I have several friends that have had similar experiences. Safeway is our go to store. Everyone is very helpful and I love the unusual products you can find here. The people at the checkouts are fun and efficient but oh my, the loud yelling back and forth is mind numbing when you're trying to get everything out of your purse fast enough for them and concentrate on all that needs to be done to get out. Please make your customers feel they are important rather than yelling back and forth with the other checkers. A little eye contact. read more

I can't believe the bad quality of their beef. Two days ago I purchased two packages of their tenderized beef cube steaks. They were nice and red which I paid for them, that night they had brown around the edges and this morning when I attempted to put them in my crock pot for Swiss Steak, they were mostly brown - not very pleasant to cook with, and this happens most times we get meat anytime there. I once asked one of the butchers and they excuse it by saying, "It's just when oxygen gets to the meat." Funny, we came from the Sacramento area and I have been buying all sorts of cuts of meat for many, many years, and NEVER, have I had meat either browning on the underside that a customer cannot see, nor go brown before the sell by date...just here. I am amazed at the poor quality of meat in this valley - at either Safeways! It isn't very enjoyable to cook when you have to worry if the meat is going to make someone sick. read more
