I'd heard great things about Maverik, primarily their fountain beverage situation and primo carbonation game. We stopped in to check it out and I would say the hype pretty much matches. The fountains had cube and nugget ice options, a ton of flavor shot options as well as additional syrups by the lids. I also very much appreciated that the pop flavors that were out of order actually had signs on them letting you know before you filled your cup with tasteless carbonated water. The pop game is good and it looked like Maverik also has a pretty good hold all other aspects of a convenience store, including lots of snacks, both prepackaged and hot or fresh made. The customer service was good cashier was nice and friendly. I would say that the parking lot is standard size, so no issues other than a bunch of the drivers being overly cautious to the point of seeming like they were paralyzed with fear to finish backing out of their parking spot. I never set foot in the store, but I did stop here for gas last weekend when headed into Zion. It's probably your best bet for gasoline if you're doing the same, as it's close enough to the freeway that you're not paying "Zion tax" on your gas. There's a nother station across the street and prices were the same. It's about as convenient as you can get, as it actually marks the turnoff from either Hurricane or LaVerkin (depending on whether you came from the south or the north) and so you know when you see it, it's time to make the turn to Springdale. Plenty of parking, and it can probably get pretty bumpin' in the heavy tourist season. For my visit, though, in the spring and after 9:30pm, it was just about perfect to get out, stretch our legs, and fuel up the tank. I'm sure the C-store part will help you fuel up your snackwagon, and you may even find deals that rival the touristy prices of Springdale down the road. read more

All I wanted was coffee and they dropped the ball ! I can't believe that they have no tops for the coffee cups at all and out of the four employees there none of them had time to get some from the back if they even had some at all. Also I found it rude that one of the employees an older lady who was putting supplies away near the coffee is on her cell phone arguing with what sounds like maybe her ex-husband or something!! I love Maverik gas stations in general. They have diesel and regular gasoline (several pumps) at low prices, large parking lots, clean restrooms--not gender neutral thankfully-- and great snacks. As far as cleanliness and keeping stock, the store was great. What was NOT great was the cashier running the store. She went back and forth between being very sweet and swearing at us. After a long day in Zions, our small group went in to get some snacks and some firewood. When getting the snacks, we had some trouble with lids not being tightly on the cups and it spilled a bit, and we immediately informed her and cleaned it up. We got the snacks. It was then that she started telling us to get out. We weren't even able to purchase the firewood, because she was yelling at us to "get the f*** out of her store". She had been messing with us before and teasing, which we didn't mind. But when we were waiting for a member of our group to be done in the bathroom, she yelled at us. We were OUTSIDE the door waiting, but wanted the member of our group to know where we were. Perhaps she was having a bad day or something was going on, but it's no way to treat paying customers. If we had been rambunctious and unruly, we would understand if she wanted us gone. But when we were outside of the store waiting for a friend and she was still screaming at us, even when we informed her that we were just waiting... absolutely terrible way to run a store. We ended up driving to another Maverik location to buy the firewood we needed. We highly recommend spending an extra 5 minutes in the car to go to the next nearest Maverik! read more

The lady working didn't give me my change, said she did, and I asked her to check the cameras or something and she did count the drawer, found that she indeed was over my $10 (the last small bill I would've had at 5 am which is inconvenient) and as I was asking her to check the cameras I let an f bomb slip because I'm a colorful speaker it wasn't even directed at her and after she found that she was wrong, asked me not to come back for using the f word . Most childish worker I've ever encountered . Please do better to give better service , i even told her it wasn't directed at her and it just slipped my tongue . This particular location is really nice. It has a huge parking lot. The inside of the store, including bathrooms, are always clean. The clerks have always been friendly. This location is really convenient if you are headed up to Zion or Kolob. They get 2 thumbs up & 5 stars from me! read more

gas stop on vegas to Kanab road trip. the gf insists we stop here to get a better price on gas prior to the last leg to Kanab. Gas cost $3.18/gallon. Interestingly, a couple Chevron stations in the middle of no where ( between Colorado City and Hurricane ) has cheaper gas ( $3.10/gallon ) hmmmm - so much for local knowledge !! I give them four stars solely for the fact that their restrooms were very clean and smelled nice. You don't know how many times I've gone into a gas station / fast food / motel bathroom on a road trip and almost died from the stench! At least this place (in the middle of nowhere, no offense to the locals) was able to make my trip to Zion National Park comfortable and fun. On a side note, my wife actually didn't want to go in because she was downright scared of gas station bathrooms, but after some convincing and cajoling, she came out happy ... and relieved :) read more

So, 4 stars on Yelp indicates "yay, I'm a fan!" Since I really can't call myself a "fan" of a gas station, they get 3. Here's something fun. An audio ad carrying on the soft spring breeze asked, "Got four kids? Try our $4.44 meals!" Only in Utah is the four-kids market share so profitable. Also, I wish that wasn't my most poignant memory of my solo motorcycle trip to Zion. I didn't get four hot dogs, but I did get two boxes of Angry Birds gummies for a dollar. I always go to this gas station because it's right before Zion so I grab snacks & water before entering the park. I give them 3 stars because the customer service is horrible. Every time I go in, which has been 4 times this year to Zion, the cashiers aren't nice or even personable. They seem like they hate their job or judge every customer that they encounter. read more

I frequent this location. It's the closest stop on my way to and from work. At times the employees there seem to rather preoccupied in conversations with each other. It's not usually a problem unless I'm in a hurry. As I will have to wait for them to notice I am there waiting at the counter. However they are almost always friendly with costomers. read more

I came here to stop and fill up my tires with air after a trip to Springdale. Soon after I started filling them up, I realized something was wrong and my tire wasn't filling up with air. We went inside to get help from a worker and the manager (Sierra we think) came out to help us. Long story short, my tire ended up getting flat and I couldn't make it home with that tire. She went all the way home to get her jack so she could take off the flat tire and put on my spare. She was so selfless and kind. She had no obligation to help us to the extend she did, but she did with a smile on her face and a humble attitude. She was absolutely amazing! I'm not sure what we would've done without her!!
