I had 3 tires replaced, and I was charged for a full tire alignment by Johnny when I was just given the FREE alignment check. I did not receive an alignment nor did I request one. This was about $80 I was overcharged. It is important to note that I am a young woman who came in by myself when dropping off the car and dealing with the phone calls. After I paid, I knew something weird was going on so I made my husband go back inside and ask about the alignment charge. I was immediately given a refund, only after I sent my husband in to correct the mistake. I have a feeling this was not an honest mistake and just the employee taking advantage of a young woman coming into a car shop alone. If it was an honest mistake, they need to be way more careful because this mistake cost them my business as I will never be back. If you are a young woman bringing your car here, I suggest going somewhere else, but if you have to, look over every individual charge before handing over your card. Extremely disappointing and discouraging experience and I will make everyone I know aware of this situation. read more

This place is committing highway robbery. They charged 77 dollars for an oil change with 3.2 quarts of non-synthetic regular 5W30 oil. The price was lowered to 64 dollars after I commented, but that is still completely absurd. I have never in my life, not even at a dealership, been charged this amount of money for a standard oil change. I will not be back here and advise others to steer clear. read more

I called late afternoon to see about the price of a wheel alignment. I was quoted a price and then a price with tax. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and was told that I could get it in today and have it within 30-45 minutes. I was thrilled. When I arrived, I was greeted and the gentleman at the desk remembered me from my phone call. First off let me say everyone at the Lanoka Was very nice. I went in with a higher end car. I went in and told them my car started shaking and I thought I may have a bubble or maybe went out of balance. They took of my right tire rebalanced it put it back charged $ 75. nothing changed! I went to shop I normally use and 1st thing they told me was the right tire was out of balance and I had a huge bubble on the right tire. SO I paid $74 for nothing. Brought my car in to get four tires. The woman at front desk quoted $685 for 4 tires and an alignment. She called a couple hours later, left a vm to call her. I called she said I need front brakes. I said it's my fiancé credit card I'd have to call him. She quoted $270 for the breaks. I text him he said no I'll do them. I called her back said " don't do the breaks. " She repeated "Don't do the breaks". I said " don't do the breaks, my fiance said he will do them. A few hours later I call to see if it's ready she said no we still have to do the alignment. I said ok. Another hour later I went there. She said we still didn't do the alignment. I said fine don't do it because I won't have a ride back later. I asked how much she said $1048! I said What, you said $685? She said yea for the tires but the breaks were... I said I told you not to do the breaks! She tried making up lies that I said to do them. She kept insisting on it. I told her I never said that Im not paying for them. Take them out and put my old breaks in. She left to go in the work area for over 45 minutes talking to someone on the phone. She came back said I can bring it down to $800 something. I said no bring that done to 0 because I'm not paying for breaks I didn't authorize! I said get the owner down here I'm not paying. She went outside and didn't come back in until I went outside to call my fiancé whos Mavis credit card I would be paying with. He came there and we both went back in. That woman looked right at me and downright lied through her teeth that I authorized the break job. I was visibly upset. He said "no she didn't, I told her no, i would do the breaks, I already ordered brakes." She kept going telling and said I referred to him as my husband. I said you're lying! I said first of all I'd never call him my husband he's my fiance and I never authorized the breaks! She just kept with lie after lie after. I said are you really trying to get him to believe you over me? I have never ever experienced anything like her behavior in my entire life. My 68 year old Aunt and 10 year old daughter were with me. Both of them were standing next to me during the original phone call. Both my daughter and Aunt heard me say don't do the breaks. They both said to the Mavis front desk woman they heard me say don't do the breaks. She just kept on lying. She literally was trying to say my Aunt and 10 year old and myself were all lying. Finally she told me fiancé she could bring the price from over a grand too $600 something. He put it on the Mavis credit card which he'll be canceling. There was another customer there who was extremely upset they put the wrong oil in his new truck. I am more upset than I've ever been in my life with the customer service from this front desk woman Victoria. Neither me nor my Aunt nor my fiancé will ever use Mavis again. I will be contacting the better business bureau about this experience. read more

Open 7 days a week is definitely a good thing for those Sunday afternoon break downs. This morning my SUV blow out a front strut. Stopped in and they took a look. Gave me and estimate for 2 front struts 2 rear shocks front end alignment for $1100. I think that price is a little high but I'm stuck and need to get it fixed. I was also told that it would be finished tomorrow. Around 9am I get a call from Damien who told me "we can get the parts and it will be done this afternoon". I said great. My wife had to take a day off from work but she needed to get back to work on Tuesday! At 2:15 pm today I got another call from someone else at Mavis who tells me how hard of a job it is and that this happens with every Sequoia. After he complained to me for 10 minutes on how hard it is to work on my truck I informed him I owned my own auto repair shop for many years and I no what's involved. So don't try to give me any crap just get to the point. I was then told "well I don't think we can get it done for your today." I can try and we might but I don't think so. I was pissed I asking him flat out is it going to be done or not?? He finally said " no I'm 100% sure it won't be"! This guy had know clue how to talk to a customer. My wife lost a day at work and now I have to borrow a car drive her home and come back tomorrow for my truck. I wouldn't have wasted a full day sitting around waiting if they told me this from the start. If your mechanic can't do a 3 to 4 hour job in an 8 hours day they get new help!! Can't wait to see what time it's finished tomorrow. Would NOT recommend this place!!!! read more

I guess I should've known better than to get any real mechanical work done at a place like this... brought in my 98 Cherokee to have a U joint replaced. They talked me into replacing the axle shaft as well. Fist of all, it took them nearly 3 days to complete the first "repair". I hesitate on calling it a repair because they actually did more damage than actual repairs. The front diff was actually leaking when I went to pick up the Jeep. How do you not notice leaking on a part you literally just replaced? Because I noticed it immediately when picking up the vehicle. Anyway... I figured it was some residual fluid from when they pulled it apart and didn't really worry about it. The following few days, I had a puddle under the vehicle so I called them. Was told to bring in the Jeep and they would take care of it. Hours later I was told they can't get to it anytime soon because they are too busy. So now... my truck has to sit there for FIVE DAYS, until they can get the time to fix what they didn't fix the first time. Last time I EVER patronize any Mavis. read more

very disgusted with how I was treated and could not believe how unprofessional the men were that I spoke with. I called on Tuesday evening at 5 and explained what was going on with my car. I was told " drop it off first thing at 8am before the rush and it will get looked at" I planned rides for myself that day for work. I dropped my car off to Damien. When I called in the afternoon to see status of my car I was told the car wouldn't be looked at that day because the tech was off! Why would I drop off my car then that day?? Matt did not have any answers for me but assured me Mike the tech would be in tomorrow and my car would get looked at first thing Thursday. Now it is Thursday and I call to get status of my car and Mike says he will "hopefully get to it today but there are cars ahead of mine!" Now I'm beyond upset because he was not a pleasant man at all and they all don't know why the other one said certain things to me! When I asked for a manager I was told they really don't have one right now. At this point I told Mike don't touch my car I will come get it! They handled this situation absolutely terribly and lost me as a customer. I've been going there for years and I will never be going back! These men need to take a class on communication and professionalism! read more

VERY UNSATISFIED!! I woke up to 2 flat tires one morning and had my car towed to this location. I was told I needed all new tires and went ahead and told them to do it. I have children so did not want to be driving with them if my car was unsafe. After new tires were put on I was told I needed an alignment but my tire rod was bent so they could not do it until that was fixed. I was already over 3 hours late to work and just shelled out over $600 for new tires and was told the other stuff needed to be done was going to be another $600 more. The very next day while driving home from work both back tires are rattling and sound like they are going to fall off. My car definitely was not doing that before they touched it. If this is not resolved tomorrow when I go there I will be contacting corporate and putting in a formal complaint. There is no reason why my car should be more unsafe now than when I brought it to them. I will NEVER use this establishment again and will definitely be telling everyone I know to not use this place. read more

Stan at STS is such a warm and inviting person. Staff is friendly and they came to get my car within minutes when my alternator failed in heavy traffic, took me home and returned to get me within 4 hours and I got my suburu back. We've gotten tires and a lot of work on a previous vehicle, I won't go anywhere else. Reasonable prices, quick reliable repairs and turn around.
