I had a tire lose pressure late in the day today. I pulled into this Mavis location half an hour before their closing time and could not have had a better experience. The service manager set me up with a technician named Ty. Ty repaired my damaged tire, gave me an assessment of the condition of the rest of my tires and within ten minutes I was back on the road -- for an extremely reasonable price. The service was fine, I just needed two tires replaced. The guy at the desk was pretty helpful with finding the right tires for my car. However, they did not put my center caps back on the wheels that they changed the tires for, and I did not realize until I was an hour away back home (im a student in the area). Each center cap is about $25, so now I'm out 50 bucks to replace them. read more

I needed four new tires for my Ford Escape and I preordered them through the Mavis Website. This was simple and easy with zero problems. I showed up for my scheduled appointment and I was immediately taken in for service. I was informed of a slight problem shortly after. The tires I reserved were not in stock. The Manager honored the price I had reserved and placed the next highest tier tires they had in stock for no extra charge. I am aware they are legally bound to do this but not every place would be so upfront about their legal requirement to do so. Not only were they upfront they were kind and gracious about it. In the end I saved 200 dollars on a much higher quality tire. I highly recommend this Mavis facility for any of your needs! read more

Got a puncture and rolled up to Mavis a few minutes before closing. They said if they could plug it, they would. Very polite tech took care of us. Left about 20 minutes later, 15 minutes after they closed with a patched tire at a very reasonable price. read more

I was not acknowledged for several minutes when I pulled up. Although the service was timely, my car had stains from the workers dirty hand prints all over the door and my rims were extremely scratched up. For me to have spent almost $1,000 for 4 tires, wheel alignment, rotors and pads etc I expected my car to have been treated better. Definitely not returning read more

Reliable and honest prices and service for tires, brakes, NYS inspection. I always buy my tires here, they are the best! Recently another auto repair place tried to use the NYS inspection to force me to do unnecessary and costly work which I knew I didn't need. As a test, I brought my truck back to Mavis, and as expected( I know my vehicle) it passed as is. I gladly paid another inspection fee so I didn't have to return to the other place. A+ for their scheduling. Tried to get in Friday or Saturday they told me they were too busy but manager said he could schedule me in first thing Monday. I thought it odd they would be open 4th of July but didn't question it. So glad I got home from work at 4am Sunday night and woke up at 8am to go there and find them closed for the holiday! read more

Had to get 2 new tires, they told us it will be an hour and half, so we went for a walk nearby, came back after that and the car wasn't even in the garage yet. The guys were nice, but 4 hours later trying to sell us an alignment. Then they tried to lower the price to get us to get it.. Once that happened, we knew they were just trying to get money. Good job with the tire part.. But never again.. Note: they said if we didn't get the alignment we can't get the tires "extended warranty".. After they first said the tires are guaranteed 60,000 miles.. I don't think anyone would recommend anyone to keep using the same tires after 60,000 miles anyway.. #SCAM. read more

Tianna the manager was very rude. As soon as my husband arrived to have oil changed and inspection for our car. Tianna goes out of her to say we have tint on our car. As my husband explained and open doors to car to show their is no tint. Tianna was adamant on pushing the tint issue and stating she is justified in doing her job. I had the opportunity to speak on the phone with the manager Tianna and found her customer service skills to be below standards. During this call she insulted the previous manager by stating that she "does everything by the book" I asked why she said this unless she is saying the last manager and managers in 10 years. I have delt with were not professional and by the book. I have had nothing but excellent honest professional and kind people in the past 10 years until today. This was the first time I was threatened to not be served because this manager Tianna held the issue of saying we had tint. I found Tianna to be far from professional. At one point I mention that we have come here for over 10 years. Manager Tianna response was "so have other customers" at this point I did not feel important as a customer or even close to valued. She even went on to inform me all calls are recorded. I said nothing out of character so this felt like a threat. Manager Tianna needs to be trained on proper customer service so that no other customer has to go through this. After all that! My car passes inspection as I knew it would. Very disappointed today and I have no intention of going back when Tianna the manager is around. The mechanics and previous staff have been awesome and always treated us with respect. read more

I knew I needed rear brakes on my SUV,and saw an ad for Mavis in the local newspaper.Their price seemed very good,and I was somewhat leery.A lot of businesses place misleading ads to "get you in the door",then everything changes.For instance I saw an ad for eyeglasses recently,and upon arriving at this major dept. store the actual price was double the pricein their ad.A pretty "Penney" indeed!But here,at Mavis I was pleasantly surprised to see the quoted price and the real price were the same.Great service,and great prices.I will be back,and if you need brakes,tires,or any service,you should give them a try! read more

A few of my friends recommended Mavis. The price for the aggressive snow tires I need on my front wheel drive Honda Fit, was right on target. But the VALUE was in being called back to the shop area to see how some previous tire changer had cut off parts of the studs that hold the tires to the wheel and how a mechanic I had trusted had not changed the brake fluid as I had been told and it was sludge. That mechanic had also not noticed the stud issue. Mavis suggested new back shocks and it is an entirely different ride. Those New Orleans potholes had done some damage but I didn't notice because I'd become used to the ride getting progressively worse. I trust these guys. The fact that every single person working there was pleasant is an added bonus, especially on a grey day. read more

Worst place to ever go to the man that worked there was ripping people off and not actually fixing people's car, like mines brought my car in to see what was wrong he told me I needed a new engine so he came to pick my car up when I went to the shop to pick my car up I turned my car on nd my driving symbol was blinking(which never happened before) so I asked him what is the matter with my car he told me"just drive it for a while nd it should go away if it doesn't just bring it back" so I took his offer I drove to Carmel NY where I work nd back it didn't stop but also my engine light pops up. So I couldn't do nothing with my car at this point cause the next day I had to get inspection, plus I gave him 1200 to fix my car. He say bring the car to me nd I'll see whats wrong after me and my wife complained multiple times about the check engine light being on. I took it today and the new manager tells me there's nothing they can do cause my transmission is messed up, never had a problem with my transmission I just brought a new starter for my car cause i got it back from Mavis Tire discount and my car would turn on but not start remind u i just brought a starter 6 months before he touched my car nd the old manager who told me what was wrong with my car had been doing corrupt things at the shop and he was one of them to work on my car now I cant get an inspection and they messed my transmission up trynna put a new engine in my car. Well now I will be filing a lawsuit about this company cause they destroyed my car and wont give me my money back so please if u want someone professional dont go here they are thieves and liars. read more
