Showed up at my appointment at 9am like I was supposed to have one tire installed I gave him my keys I sat down 30 minutes later the assistant manager comes up to me it says are you okay waiting and I said how long he said a few hours absolutely I cannot wait a few hours I have to go to work can you just have somebody put that one tire on and he refused and said no we can't do that mind you I was the only one waiting all the other cars were dropped off I was the only customer waiting and they would not install my tire like we're supposed to at 9:00 a.m. he was saying like around noon or 1:00 could it be done if that was me I would have installed the tire for the customer they don't know how to take care of customers horrible place read more

I sent my guests from out of town here to get an oil change since you could make an appointment. They showed up at the appointed time (11am) and were told it was very busy. The car was not ready until 3pm! What is the purpose of allowing you to make an appointment if you have to wait 4 hours without a car. read more

Absolutely awful experience - My 20-year-old daughter was traveling for a short beach vacation, noticed her tire was low, found a nail in it, and went to this Mavis to get it patched -- a simple, routine fix. Instead, they tried to scare her into spending hundreds of dollars she didn't need to. They claimed the tire was "dry rotted" and couldn't be repaired -- despite it being only 1.5 years old -- and that she also needed a second new tire because the shock on the other side was "bad." All completely false. She called her father, who told her to get the car out of there immediately. When she went to retrieve it, they had the hood open -- for a TIRE issue. Why? What were they doing in there? She took it to another shop afterward, where it was patched for $20, and they confirmed outright that the tire was NOT dry-rotted and was perfectly fine. So was the shock. This is exactly the kind of predatory upselling that gives the auto repair industry a bad name -- preying on a young woman traveling, assuming she wouldn't know better or wouldn't push back. Completely unacceptable. Do NOT trust this location, and if you're a woman, find somewhere else entirely. read more

Made an in-person appointment for new tires. They said they were in stock. They said to come a 730am. No one shows up until 8am. They claim there is no appointment record and they don't have tires in stock. Try to upsell more expensive tires. Liars and cheats. Don't go there. Try Mr.Tire around the corner. read more

Scheduled oil change for our vehicle with only 31,000 miles and maintenance scheduled followed for 4-years. As I'm waiting counter manager comes out and ask me to follow him to my car (on the lift). He then points at one of the front tires and says it has dry rot. I don't see a thing. He then tells me all the brake pads should be replaced, and the rear rotors. We go back into the office area and as we are going over pricing I go back and ask the technician to show me the difference between the "dry rot" tires and the rear tires (which according to him are fine). There were no definitive visible differences. So I then tell the manager just complete the oil change. I then stood outside the bay (doors up and open) and watched the technician finish the service. The tires were NOT rotated and the fluid levels were not topped off (as advertised). I went back inside and ask about the advertised service and the manager replied that they are only completed if requested. I paid, told him it was the last time I would be coming to MAVIS, and that he almost got me. He had no comment. BTW I had car checked after and the service center technician said the brakes were fine and the only problem with the tires was a nail in the front left. Apparently the MAVIS Technician was so busy concentrating on "what they told me to look for" he missed the nail. Considering MAVIS? Beware. Again, only 31,000 miles. read more

Way over priced. Paid $2300 for 4 tires and brake pads. We were originally quoted $1200 for tires and labor only and then told we needed new brakes. Didn't realize that would be an extra $1k. Don't waste your money and go to Mr. tire Auto instead. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, would never recommend this location to anyone, a friend recently took their car here for an oil change simple enough except they emptied the transmission fluid took forever with no communication, terrible costumer service and incompetent mechanics and "managers" if you would like to keep your car and not have to put out 1,000s with no compensation never take your car here for anything not even tires. read more

Worst service ever!!! Took my car in for a new battery, they put one I. I left to go to my dr appt, When I came our car wouldn't start again! Call roadside ass again, 2nd time! They came to look at it, the cables were NOT securely tightened around the battery!! Roadside assistance tightened them, car started immediately!! fortunately so grateful for my roadside ass!! I called Mavis after pricing out a service for my car at 2 local garages, as well as Jiffy Lube (45min away.) Mavis was by far the most affordable quote and they were able to get me in the same day. The service took a little longer than they thought it would, but they updated me and made sure it was okay before proceeding. The quote was spot on and was more than half the cost of the local shops, and about $100 cheaper than the Jiffy Lube. read more

Terrible service and no accountability. I took my luxury SUV while in town for the weekend. I had a tire that needed a patch. The young, and inexperienced techs created a 2nd hole in the tire as they were trying to patch my tire. I watched the entire mistake in front of my eyes. Then they claimed that I had to pay for a new tire which I refused to as they damaged my already new tire on my new car. When I returned home, the dealership informed me they put on a wrong tire and my SUv needed yet a new tire as you cannot have 2 different tires on the same axle. They refused to pay for this replacement or to take any accountability. I emailed and called the district manager several times and he did not return my emails or calls. Therefore I steer you away from this irresponsible team. read more

Just getting around to my review and visit on Nov 16th. I Needed tires on my 2016 jeep compass all around. I put in the wrong size on my appointment, It was a little more money, But they took the time to show me my mistake. The crew and managers were very friendly and fast. Outstanding Service today! The staff went above and beyond to fix the tire. They were willing to grab the tire out of the vehicle in a nearby parking lot and bring it back to their location to mount it and then they went to put it on the car. I really really greatly appreciate the lengths they went to. The car had a completely flat donut on it, and Mavis got us rolling again. Thanks again guys!!! read more

Where do I begin. Took my wife's car for new tires. My wife picked up her car and called me to tell me her car was shaking while driving it home. I checked the tires and to my amazement all the lug nuts where able to be taken off by hand. Called the manager and he said they would look into and get back to me. The manager was very nice but had no idea how to remedy the situation. I was transfered to management and treated like I was the problem and talked to like crap. In the end they offered a free oil change for their negligence. Debated on going back but had my wife take the car in for the free oil change. After the oil change my wife was informed that she needed front brakes and rotors. The cost was only 570 dollars but hey they had a coupon for 70 dollars off. I advised me wife not to get the brakes done as I can do them myself for 180 in parts. After removing the tire I discovered the brakes still had half the pad left and the rotors where just fine. I highly recommend not to use Mavis tires in Rio Grande until they train there staff properly and not try to take advantage of women. read more
