I scheduled an appointment for 11 AM on 5-30-2026. I dropped the car off at 10:45AM. I called at 1:30PM and was told that the car was just going on the lift. What is the point of making an appointment if work on the car doesn't start for 2 and a half hours after the appointment time. Used the Anniston shop twice this week. First time was for new tires and an alignment. Made an appointment for 4pm and it took 2.5 hours. Apparently the tech that started the job left with out finishing and no one new. My breaks needed replacing as well so I made an appointment for Friday morning at 8. The car was dropped off and was supposed to be ready before 12pm. I wasn't ready until 1:30pm. No apologies, no concern for anyone elses time. I highly doubt I'll use them again and would not recommend them either. Time is of no consideration for this location so if you value your's go somewhere else. Got back from long one hour lunch to give them time to start on my 2 new tires and oil change. My car was up on lift with no tires on back for about 2 hours after my 1.25 hr lunch. My 2 ($465 worth of new tires) were on my rims sitting on ground beside my car the whole time. Nobody was in the shop other than cashier lady. "Mechanics" came back with large McDonalds cups, sipped on them while tightening bolts. Ruined my day, got reprimanded by my work for being out 3+hrs. I saved up for 3 months to spend that $565. Thanks for the respect yo. I'll hit a dealership next time. read more

Scheduled an appointment in advance for 8am. Showed up early. No one was there. So I left at 8. Got a call from the gal at the counter and she said she was in the back. So I turned around and came back. It's now 930 and they still have the truck in the air, putting the wheels back on. They didn't even torque the wheel lug nuts. Just hammered them on with an impact. I know this for a fact because the truck was still in the air when they put the hub caps back on. I definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone! Waiting room was filthy, customer restroom smelled like urine and poor service. Lug nuts should ALWAYS be torqued to prevent issues. Stay away from this business. 2 hrs for a tire rotation and balance, and not even done right is ridiculous! So I had to add this. As I was leaving, I asked the gal at the counter about torquing the lug nuts. She told me that their air impact guns are on low pressure so I don't have to worry about them being over tightened.!?!? What, what happens if they are not tight enough and the wheel comes off???? Amazing. I can't even make this up. For the safety of your family stay away from this business. I specifically asked them to be careful with the beauty rings and hubcaps and look what they did to them with the tire hammer. I took these pictures up close. I was VERY pleased with my experience here. Living in another city I didn't know that Walmart is unable to do tire/wheel alignment at any of their facilities. But, I had already purchased new tires and had them mounted and balanced. So, I made an appointment online to get my car alignment done. I believe the standard charge here is $99, but there is a $10 discount coupon you can download from their website. Upon arrival I checked in with the young man up front and in just a few minutes they pulled my car in and started work. A few minutes later they told me that my car was in perfect alignment and did not require any work. I needed one of my headlight bulbs replaced as I tried myself and was only successful with replacing one side. They immediately went to work on helping me address that issue and put everything in perfect order. Everyone there was friendly and very helpful. This is a busy location and like most businesses today have a hard time finding qualified staff members. My suggestion would be (if possible) to make an appointment online for the very first time slot available each day. This should help ensure that any waiting will be minimized. read more

Bought new tires for my Dodge truck from Anniston, AL Mavis Tires several months back. Received a Mavis email yesterday inviting me to schedule a free tire rotation and "balance check"(?). Scheduled an appointment for earlier this afternoon for tire rotation and spin balance. Upon arrival and check-in I was advised that spin balance would be $19.99 PER TIRE, or $80.00 for complete balancing! I advised clerk that I had purchased my tires there and asked for the price again. He checked with someone and reiterated, $19.99 PER TIRE. I turned around and walked out, reminding myself that this was the same outfit that charged me $24.00 for four 'stripped lug nuts' on my last visit (a phenomena that had never happened before in my 76-year history!), AND ten they let me leave with my front tires a combined 40 pounds Under-Inflated for my trip to Birmingham. Thank God I caught it and went back for proper inflation. I have no idea what would have happened at highway speed with my grossly under-inflated front tires! I'm very disappointed with the service I received, I went for two tires which ended up costing over $1000 after telling me that I needed a battery, filters, breaks and bulbs which were never replaced., according to another mechanic, all I got were new tires, no alignment that I paid for, no battery, no breaks. I did take the car back the next day because, the breaks were scrubbing worse than they were before I took my car there. This place is a nightmare. I took my vehicle in because I did not have any brakes. They did not call us ever. We had to call them. It took 3 weeks to have them say mastercylinder. Another 2 weeks to get that fixed. Then pay 392 dollars. We drive it 3 miles down the road. Brakes lock up. We had to get it towed back to shop. Then we are told 2 weeks later it's brake booster. So they quote us $400 dollars. I look up parts online. They really rip people off. The part is not even the price they told us. Then, we call for updates. They say the vehicle will no longer start. Weeks pass by. They want to charge us $60 to have it towed to a electrical mechanic 1 block away. So, we show up to tow it ourself. The lady manager is being rude telling us to get our vehicle off their property along with saying we owe 1200 dollars. Then they change it to 900. So, then 3 hours later the electrical mechanic says he fixed the car to start. So we find out Mavis did not plug in the abs sensor. Are you serious???? 150 dollars later...on way home brakes lock up and almost catch fire. So, Mavis did not fix our car. I do not think they ever put on the brake booster or change brakes...I think I may check to see if it's even a new mastercylinder in the morning. but they want $900. We have contacted the chevy dealer. Mavis will never touch any car I ever own. All the reviews you see on Google and Facebook are lies. This place is a chaos. Nobody knows nothing. Please do not take your car here. I am trying to get the word out because I do not want anyone else to be screwed over by these people. They do not know how to work on vehicles. Please tell everyone you know. This place is a bunch of lying crooks. Safe yourself the trouble and find a good Ole mechanic shop. They deserve no stars. read more

I took my vehicle in for brakes and a tire repair in early October. I had to take the vehicle back because the tire they repaired was not balanced and the brakes were making noise when driving and when braking. They balanced the tire and rotated my tires to try to appease me, but the manager claimed nothing was wrong with the brakes after checking them himself, even though there was visible rust and constant noise. After months of noisy driving and braking, I finally went to another Mavis location yesterday to see if they could help. The rotors were so rusty that they replaced them (under warranty). They also found plastic over some of the parts, so they called the Anniston store and the person they talked to said I must have run over a plastic bag. Clearly, there is an issue with the quality of their work and trustworthiness. I would not recommend them at all. (On the other hand, the Mavis in Homewood, Alabama is amazing!)
