These guys are crooks. This dealership bought my 2025 GMC Yukon XL Denali Ultimate -- a documented lemon that I was the original owner of -- at auction. They then sold it to an unsuspecting buyer and told him it was just a goodwill repurchase, not a lemon. How do I know? When the buyer went to register the vehicle, the Georgia DMV sent him a lemon acknowledgment letter. Naturally, he said WTF. The dealership had given him some -- but not all -- of the original service paperwork from my dealership, which had my personal information all over it. Since this dealership was still insisting the car wasn't a lemon (and they failed to redact all of my personal information, including my work and cell phone numbers), the buyer tracked me down to find out what actually happened. The buyer refused to sign the lemon acknowledgment letter, and they were forced to unwind the deal. The Yukon XL Denali Ultimate is now back on their lot waiting to con someone else. Do not let Cooper Chevrolet do any service repairs on your vehicle. They will not honor warranty's. They replaced my transmission and in doing so broke the starter and replaced it also. Eight months later the starter leaves me stranded 200 miles from home on a holiday weekend. I had no choice but for a local mechanic to replace it in a parking lot where is was stranded. I asked Cooper to just warranty the starter, didn't ask for labor or any of the others expenses. They told me since I didn't bring it I. To them they couldn't do anything. I have bought several cars from them over the years and they have always done the service on those cars. But for a $300 starter they have lost my business and anyone else's I can tell. read more

My husband was out of town when our 2022 Buick Envision had the check engine light come on. He first took it to an auto parts store to get the code, then proceeded to take it to Cooper Chevrolet Buick. It was a Friday morning, he went fairly close to opening. The person he spoke with told him they would not be able to look at it until Tuesday, that there were six cars in front of him. My husband rode to his destination with a friend and patiently waited until Tuesday mid morning to call and check the status. The same service tech proceeded to tell him that they had not looked at his vehicle yet and that there were 5 people in front of him. How did the service dept. only look at 1 car from Friday morning til Tuesday mid morning? After speaking with our mechanic at home, he told my husband that he should be okay to drive it home. My husband called them on Wed afternoon, they still had not looked at the car, so my husband told them not to touch it and he would just pick it up. There was other dialogue in the few conversations, but how incompetent do you have to be to work there? My husband had to make all contact as they evidently don't know how to dial a phone number. He is on the way to pick it up now, so we shall see how that goes. read more

Just purchased a new truck from Chris at Cooper Chevrolet and had a good experience. Chris was great to work with, and they were far cheaper on this truck than any other dealer in the area. Unlike other dealers that advertise one price to bait you in and then don't honor it, Cooper's price was as advertised. I have to return next week to get step-bars installed. I would like to take this time to recognizeCooper Chevrolet Buick as one of the most useless entities on planet earth! This is the twentieth day they have had my vehicle and absolutely refuse to call me with updates. I call them every couple days and they refuse to call me back with any sort of useful information. The head guy's name is Tracy, he tells me every time I talk to him that he'll call me right back with more information but he has yet to call me back in twenty days with any updates pertaining to my car which they took possession of on the seventh day of this month. I keep getting connected with a really sweet girl who says she'll get him to call right back but she's obviously way too optimistic. Tracy refuses to call me and update me on any progress or lack thereof that is happening with my car.I can honestly say that I'd rather drown myself in a bathtub than to ever trust Cooper CHEVROLET in the future because they have proven themselves to be quite worthless! Best customer service, management, and deal process I've ever had with a vehicle! We're a Cooper family now! Always courteous and super helpful. They've really gone above and beyond. Terrible customer service! I had to bring a business vehicle to get serviced and every time I called to speak to the service advisor Tracy, which was 5 or 6 times in a about a week time span, she was never around and never returned my phone call. The only way I could get an update on the repair was by stopping in the service department and when I did she didn't even look up from her desk or acknowledged I was there. She just passed off my work to someone else. Not only was the customer service horrendous, but they told me my car was ready and when I got about one mile down the road, it began to overheat again, causing me to bring it back. After getting the second call that my vehicle was ready about a week later, Tracy failed to list that the rear hatch wasn't working so it was never fixed. So I was again without a vehicle and spending money on a rental car for 2 more days. I'm not from the area but I would never bring a car here for service again if I had to. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever! Had 60k in hand and walked out over $1k. The General Manager yelled at me over the phone trashing my trade in which I was requesting him match the trade in amount offered by another Chevrolet dealership. He was so offensive that normally I would suggest additional training but not with his blatant rudeness he should be fired. Very unprofessional. I have bought 14 cars in 8 years and never experienced anything like this. Stay away from this dealer. Mr. Cooper's Daughter and Son in law need to have people blind shop their dealer to see the way the customers are treated. The salesman Wayne was very professional and courteous but the GM and his wingman were purely hateful. I didn't feel like I was involved in a business transaction this felt like a personal attack. Went for a water pump under special coverage. Cruze sat there for nearly a month, and was ready on Saturday when I called. Wasn't told. Never called me back after numerous calls and walk ins. Called today told she'd call me back. Never did. Wasn't told it was even ready until I called gm and filed a complaint, then they're the ones who told me Good news it was ready. Cooper tried to charge me for a part I fixed with my dad and said was leaking. The water pump was leaking and couldn't produce the pressure to make the $30/180 in labor water outlet leak, I fixed, leak. They also cut through the plastic to get to the release valve to drain it instead of taking off the cover. Gave me the run around until I called and complained. No more. I purchased a Certified Preowned (CPO) Buick from Cooper Buick in Anniston, AL. The experience we had that day was excellent. On the day of the purchase I failed to notice a defect on it, but did a few days later. I contacted Cooper Buick and explained what was wrong, but in spite of having a double warranty (CPO and Factory Warranty) on the vehicle, they wouldn't fix it. I was told I should have noticed it on the day I bought it. Three things I learned about this experience. Make sure you inspect the vehicle very thoroughly on the day of purchase whether it is new or used, and don't hesitate to mention defects no matter how small they might be, because you can't come back with it later. Realize a Certified Preowned Bumper to Bumper and Factory Bumper to Bumper Warranty are simply extended warranties with lots of conditions excluded. Remember you are dealing with a car dealership and you are at a disadvantage. During an informal discussion with Cooper Buick employees, one told me that when new vehicles are rolled off the carrier they have to immediately inspect them. If defects are found, they make a claim again GM. If they fail to find a defect at that time, but do later, that is why there is a service department. I suggest you try not to be a victim. A formally happy customer that is no longer as happy. read more

I don't even think our experience with this dealership warrants 1 star. We thought we would be able to work with this dealership. They have no haggle pricing which is nice. However, working with all the other sales department personnel including the General manager and owner (both of which told me they would call us back and didn't) displayed anything but professionalism. Fortunately we were able to take our business elsewhere, buy our GMC truck and have received wonderful customer service from another dealership. However, having my 75 year old father who is a veteran for our country ride the 4 hours to and from their house to the dealership only to find out that they did not want to sell the truck to them is inexcusable. Up until 20 minutes prior to arriving at the dealership, everything was fine and the papers just needed to be signed. Putting my father through this... you should be ashamed of yourselves! I live in San Antonio and was trying to mitigate this horrible situation that my father was being put through by reaching out to the General Manager and owner to help reach a resolution. I have NEVER experienced such a poor experience when buying a car. Being lied to by the GM and owner is not acceptable! We are faithful GMC customers but will be working with a dealership that promotes a higher level of honesty and integrity than Cooper GMC Buick. read more

I bought a certified pre owned car from Cooper Chevrolet. I ask if the car had been wrecked they showed me a clean carfax and stated that the car had been drove by a executive at Chevrolet Corp.. I brought the car back about two weeks later after a friend of mine pointed out that it had a excessive amount of orange peel. They told me that all their new cars came from the factory with orange peel said there was nothing that could be done. Approximately a year and half later the paint on the bumper started peeling. The insurance I bought from them was suppose to cover road hazard dings and such on the car. I was told it only covers dings no paint flaking off. So I take it to the body shop and to my surprise they tell me that the front bumper has been replace and painted without using primer and this is why the paint is flaking off. I take it back and talk to the used car manager. I told him that I ask salesman if the car had ever been wreck that is when he told me no and showed me the clean carfax. The manager walk around the car quickly never looked at the bumper as he was walking inside quickly said I don't lie and general motor rep would be there next week I did not get a time or day he would be there.
