The customer service here is great, took two days to be seen for my appointment & they were a little understaffed which lead to long wait times but the staff fixed my tired & didn't charge because of the inconvenience. We've always had a good experience at this location. The first time we went my car was leaking oil after I took it to another place for an oil change. Mavis easily got me in the same day and fixed the broken part for no charge since it was such an easy fix. I was so surprised and thankful! We decided to get tires here for our other car after such a good experience. It was easy to schedule online. Tires were priced well and they changed all four plus an alignment in a bit under 2 hours. First time here, not sure what to do. There were three guys in the garage working on one tire. Zero cars in the garage. One motorcycle in the garage but not being worked on and surely belongs to an employee. Nobody in line. Nobody waiting. I walked into the garage and instantly get yelled at to get out of the garage like I'm some kind of child. No friendliness. Not a shred of customer service. Not any instruction on what I should do. Just get out of the garage. Great first impression guys. In all fairness the manager tried to rectify the situation after I told him what had happen. But honestly if the technicians have an attitude like that towards the only customer in the shop as soon as I walk in, my first time here.... I've learned all I need to know about this franchise. This Mavis is relatively new and very convenient to my home so I figured I'd give them a chance. They failed. If you're looking for a mechanic. Jason's Automotive in Angier. He can do anything. He's honest and always booked as every good mechanic should be. If you're looking for tires Jason can do that too. I've been a lifelong customer of Discount Tire. I stopped by with a tire going flat at this location on Hwy 42 in garner and spoke with Phil, they were closing and I did not realize that. So I told him I would just come wait and come back seeing they were closing. And Phil said no Ma'am we will look at your tire right quick. Not only did they look at it, they fixed it for me like 15-30 minutes after closing time . What great customer service, at closing they took in my van and actually fixed the tire going flat. The Mavis Store manager on Yunus Rd, Durham NC is completely unprofessional. His customer service and how he treats the customer is horrible. After calling and reporting him to corporate headquarters. I returned to the location, to have my tire replaced and was met with a hostile and retaliatory behavior from Ryan the store manager. He did not try or attempt to resolve my issue but added confusion and frustration. Because he did not know how to and what to advise me as the customer. His behavior was and is completely unprofessional. My car did get taken care of by Julio. Julio and Brien gave great customer service and stayed transparent with me. Why Ryan is the manager and not Julio is a big question. Because Ryan clearly can learn from his team members. Ryan SUCKS! read more

Please avoid any Mavis tires they are the biggest hassle they don't honor warranty's or road side hazard unless you know what your buying. They didn't honor the original online price at the store. Didn't honor price match customer service argued with me that they didn't care. Alignment was done wrong and tried to charge me but it was still under warranty. Had nail in tire and i had roadside hazard replacement the tread depth is how it's covered it was in the free replacement range but tried to charge half price I had to show them the chart Mavis had on the website which they said they never seen. I was given 92% off and charged for balance and rotation even though the online scheduling said it was free. I worry I'll have to go back because of the road hazard coverage I just hate dealing with a company that wants to screw you over and not follow there commitments after spending hard earned money with them. I'm 44 years old and it's one of the worst customer service purchases ive ever had. read more

Call and got a Brake Quote of $350 a week ago! Went in to schedule an appointment and the guy starts the quote again comes up with a almost $500 Total after I provided him the same info as I did over the phone the week before! Then as I balked and said I'd do the work myself he gave me some BS about my Lexus GX having an Electronic Braking System! I laughed and told him this vehicle hadn't been redesigned since 2010 and most braking systems are Hydraulic was too much! Hilarious! I've done Brakes on numerous vehicles but with a fair price I'd gladly pay but being told my vehicle has SPECIAL $200 Brake Pads and a Electronic Braking System! Brake Pads at any auto parts store are $40-80! I'm sure these yahoos aren't using the $80 Akebono OE pads but I will! Please go somewhere else but I had to say all these guys are the same! Personally I think this guy saw a Lexus and someone decently dressed, so he decided to "Play the Game"!!! Look up Mavis and BBB don't believe the Review Sites! Purchased a trailer tire from them a month ago while getting another tire mounted and balanced at the NC42 location. That cost for mounting and balancing was $9.99. Returned today to get the trailer tire mounted and balanced and the cost was $45.00 and when questioned it went down to $32! What the hell is that about? This place is severly mismanaged. On 1/25/22 my husband brought in my SUV for an oil change and fluid check. He came home and told me this was the best service he has ever had and we are older so we have had service our vehicles a lot.
