I live in this area but this is my first visit. The location is prime. There is lots of parking. Everything inside is clean and quiet. The waiting area is comfortable. The rest room is clean. The team was super helpful. These folks were friendly as well. The service is immediate, and in my opinion, trustworthy. I will be returning. In this day, finding service for my vehicle that is close, clean, customer-centric and trustworthy is rare and surprising. I definitely had a pleasant experience. I did a little research on places in the area and kept coming back to CHT, specifically this location. The Service Advisor was very pleasant. While waiting for my ride, I ended up having a long conversation with he and the GM Phil. What a great group of guys they have here. They were friendly and knowledgeable. , So the nature of my complaint is based on this business ripping me off for services that I had done there I was charged $69.00 for a diagnostic when I had initially taken my car there for a sound underneath the car to which they had me address it and asked that I look at the brakes being done which I agreed too at the time they reported needing a whole system done which would cost me $1200 which is a bit much for the type job I agreed they completed these services. I recently had a job done on my car that is fuel-based and required a diagnostic done to which they reported that my brakes were gone in the back 2mm I mentioned to them that job was done last year they mentioned to me seeing it on the carfax and noticing it was only 12,000 miles that was used and needing brakes as either shitty brakes or they overcharged me and didn't do the job correctly. I mentioned I had the car done less than a year ago and the warranty covered 3 years or 36, 000 miles at repair was 122885 and the mileage is now 135581. I made an appointment with the CHAPEL HILL TIRE CAR CARE IN 4325 GLENWOOD AVE RALEIGH NC. Dropped my car off at 830am They reported receiving my booking confirmation with the information as to the car had only driven 12,000 miles and now needed breaks. They reported taking a look at it and then letting me know about the issue. I received a call around 100pm them reporting that the car needed calipers done to correct the issue that was done, I reported they were the ones that did my full brake job for 1200$ at that time if I needed calipers why wasn't it mentioned as to changing them and it would be an issue if I didn't replace them then adding me the hype of a warranty I am unable to use the reported the charge would be another 790$ I told him i wasn't paying that and he wasn't getting another cent from me based on they did my whole brake job and refuse to honor a warranty that only used 12,000 miles stating that it didn't cover the rear caliper and fixing just the brakes would continue be a issue with the brakes. read more

Ordered trailer hitch and wiring harness for install. Had to prepay substantial amount for deposit. Told a couple weeks. Many weeks later I call the wire harness being delayed. Given ship day of 8//15 for it. Called and told supplier no longer supplying wire harness. Mine you this is for a 2023 vehicle. Not wanting to get ticketed using my trailer without lights. I cancel order for the trailer hitch since they cannot provide the wiring harness only to be told I get shafted with a substantial shipping charge to return it to the hitch to their supplier. Never ever while I recommend them or dark in the doorstep again. I'm sure the volume of business they do the Hitch should've just been sent back. End of story. read more

Chapel Hill Tire has been my go to auto shop for several years. They recently went through a major remodel at their MLK location which is stunning! Brand new leather chairs, huge flatscreen, charging stations which are ESSENTIAL and a nice beverage station. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and I really enjoy their complimentary chauffeur services for when I need to drop off my car and head back to work. I'm usually able to get an appointment within a week or so which is nice. My only gripe is that sometimes the services can take several hours and they're always packed, but that's because they're awesome! The prices are a little bit higher than other auto shops, but you're paying a premium on customer service, experience and a guarantee that the work was done well. I've never had any issues for the years that I've been a customer. read more

I have had my Buick LaCrosse serviced here for the past 1 1/2 years and I highly recommend their business. They are courteous, upfront, reasonably priced, and thorough with inspections. They go the extra mile by offering transportation for you while your car is serviced. I love the location of Crabtree facility since you can walk across to the mall. Overpriced and dishonest. I came to have a nail pulled from my tire and the hole repaired. The van and tires are new (July 2022). The nail was in the center third of the driver's side tire. The sales associate emphasized IF it was repairable, it would be $43 to fix it. She couldn't see where the nail was. Although the price was high, I was with my toddler and was willing to pay a convenience fee. After waiting for 45 minutes, they texted me a report that said my front tires were in good shape, and that my rear tires would need to be replaced soon. I was in the store waiting. Well, I texted back to ask about removing the nail from the front tire. 15 minutes later, the sales associate came to tell me I would need a new tire. According to her, the nail was too close to the wall. Complete nonsense. I said no thanks and drove down the road to Firestone Tire. They patched it quickly for less than half the price. read more

The Crabtree location is EXTREMELY convenient!! I have been a customer for 3 years and I would drive to the Carboro location from Holly Springs because the Customer Service is EXCELLENT! Just took my car in for an oil change and State Inspection and was out the door on a timely matter. Totally touchless for me. **They did not charge extra!!! ** I watched from the patio. The driver was wearing a mask and gloves. He put paper in the seats. This was my first time at this location (Crabtree) as we just moved, but had great experiences at the Chapel Hill location so wanted to see if it was more of the same. It absolutely was. The online booking process was easy as can be. When we took my girlfriends car in for an exhaust repair, I was hoping it was a quick fix. Unfortunately it was not. Regardless, the technicians provided excellent photographs of the issue and gave me very detailed and understandable explanations as to why the fix was needed. They were very honest from the get-go and made me feel very comfortable with their recommendations. They were also very considerate of the cost given COVID. Although I didn't go through with the larger repair due to personal budget restraints, I will 100% be back anytime I need repair work done to any of my vehicles.
