Exceptional hospitality, inspiring service, and extraordinary food! Absolutely exhilarating!

I really enjoyed my meal at the Mawadda Cafe. I was a first time visitor and found the restaurant very clean and comfortable. My server made me feel welcome and at home. It's a popular place with lots of regulars. Looking for a vegetarian option, I ordered the falafel sandwich and a mango lassi, then I added the greek fries. Oh my God. They make the "best fries" I have ever eaten. Along with the sandwich and the lassi, I was very satisfied. I will definitely return if and when I'm in the area.

I LOVE the food from here. We order all the time, but in this last order we got a piece of white wire in our Basha platter. I'm so disappointed because this was our go-to place for Mediterranean food.

I came to Mawadda Cafe on Sat night. There were no customers in the restaurant, but we decided to eat. The store was well organized and the tables were clean. It took us quite some time to choose the menu. In the meantime, two people came in and picked up food. We ordered a veggie combo and a Samosa Plate. The food took a long time to come probably the restaurant was busy with phone and online orders. Veggie combo is a fresh made spanakopita triangular spinach pies, falafel, hummus, and stuffed grape. This dish was quite large and even two people could not finish it. Spanakopita triangular spinach pie is crispy and has a strong spinach flavor, falafel is a little salty for me but a good taste, hummus is a little watering taste. Samosa Plate is a golden crispy triangular pies all stuffed with a delicious filling. Choice of filling are chicken, beef and veggie. We only ate one samosa and took the rest home. There are many vegetarian and vegan choices here. I would like to try other things next time.

The food is great and the husband that is owner is great but the wife is very very rude and will over charge unless you catch it. She has really bad attitude and is rude to customers. My friend also had the same experience! The food is really good and as long as you deal with the husband you will have a good experience but his wife will ruin your whole day if you deal with her

This is a Hole in the wall kind of place. There is no Ambiance but the Food and Service is amazing. One of the the best Mediterranean food we have tasted. We will go back if we ever visit Seattle again!

Awesome. Took me about 5 mins to finish two plates of food. Just delicious. The guy even custom ordered a gyro for me as I am a vegetarian.

Gyro salad was pretty boring. Bunch of Romaine w/ 2 olives, 4-5 onion bits, and a couple Cuke and Tomato slices. Boring Tzatziki as well.

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. The rice was great, the gyro meat was flavorful, and the tzatziki was really good. I got the lunch portion, which was good, but I do wish I had gone with the dinner size--definitely doing that next time since I want to try their hummus. The salad was the only part that was a little off for me. It seemed like the veggies hadn't been dried very well, so there was quite a bit of water sitting at the bottom. It also had pickles in it, which was interesting--but I actually didn't mind that part since I like pickles anyway. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband's order wasn't made correctly. He ordered a similar plate with chicken and specifically asked for no salad and no tzatziki, and it was even confirmed when he ordered. But when he got home, both were still on his plate, which was frustrating for him. Aside from that, the food itself was really good. I'd definitely order from here again--and next time, I'm going for the Dinner Plate

I was watching FIFA soccer world cup match there between Germany and Cote d'Ivoire I originally went there hoping to have the Lamb Shank Mandi, but it wasn't ready at the time. The owner personally prepared a regular Lamb Mandi for me, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dishes I've had. The lamb was incredibly tender, warm, and practically melted in my mouth. The rice was fresh, fragrant, and tasted like it had just come out of the pot. Just look at the picture! Over the years, I've tried many Yemeni dishes, including Mandi, Kabsa, and Haneeth, and this place is definitely one of the best spots for Mandi in the area. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and the hospitality is outstanding. My family and I first visited after reading positive reviews, and we've kept coming back ever since. We especially enjoyed both the Lamb Shank Mandi and the Lamb Mandi. Everything was delicious. I would love to see more traditional options such as Lamb Kabsa and Lamb Haneeth added to the menu in the future.
