However, The five excuses we got for why our pizza was late was just horrible. And Donna {who was so nice when we paid for the bowling} behaved as though she was in a coma when we complained about our pizza being an hour late. The only other employee who acted like they had no living soul was the girl tending bar and taking food orders. They don't know the meaning of the word customer service. I can only conclude that you are making money hand over fist, and you have known these drones for years, for them to be employed anwhere in customer service. If you ever want to take your business to the next level, These ladies are the dead weight that you should dump. You cannot fly like an eagle and soar high with turkeys. The only Highlight was Jacob, he tried to help was a real bright spot among the walking dead service employees you employ. hope you can take a little well meaning critizism. If you value your family dollar and your children's experience, stay away from Max Bowl!! This place is no longer the nice family-owned small business it once was. Max Bowl is now only concerned about stealing your money via extremely poor service & poor quality entertainment. They pulled a "bait and switch" on me. For my Little League Baseball team they quoted $10 per person party and then on day of party, the bill came I was charged $20 per person. The manager refused to acknowledge her mistake or make effort to find a mutually agreeable resolution. Do not spend your hard earned money at this place. So I never write reviews but I definitely felt the need to write one about this establishment. On 10/23/2022 I witnessed an altercation between The management team and a customer. I was floored at the behavior of the employees and management. Granted the customer was upset and was a bit much to handle I feel as if these are the times that management should have been properly trained for. The customer was given wrong information stating that a receipt had to be shown in order for her children to take part in the laser tag . When in fact, as long as the money was on the card the children could have participated in laser tag. The manager matched the customer's tone and was very unprofessional he could have diffused the situation by explaining the right information to her. To me it seems as if her children were being discriminated against as if they were trying to lie and steal their way into laser tag. If the procedure is NOT having to show a PROOF of purchase, then why was it told to the children and the mom? After her friend went over this information twice for clarification the story was changed to, "As long as the money 7.50 was on the card irregardless of them having a receipt or not that the children was able to participate in laser tag" The customer walked away and some time after the manager proceeded to walk from behind the counter to approach the customer which resulted in him being face to face yelling at her telling her that she can have a seat or leave. A guest in the customers party had to walk in between them to separate the two. Do I agree with the customer's actions and words that she expressed to the employees? NO! Absolutely NOT! I DEFINITELY do not agree with the actions of management. Also the young employee which I heard her say she was 17 years old told the customer her mom would whoop her a** as well as the customer called the 17 yr old an ugly name. The 17 year old confronted the customer asking her why was she being rude? Which provoked the customer even more. BOTH PARTIES WAS WRONG AND THE STAFF IS NOT THE HERO IN THIS SITUATION. They definitely need additional training. My 10 yr old son witnessed this and we will NEVER RETURN! read more

Recently updated, looks very nice inside and out. Guessing they spent most of their money on the updates because they are severely under staffed. The employees who do work here have have poor customer service. The food is terrible and too overpriced for the quality of good you get. Ordered nachos and they came out ice cold. My Family and I came here for an evening of fun on Saturday the 24th while waiting for a lane I was sitting at the bar and observed the this young lady and I'm being nice when I say young lady, unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was tall, heavy set with dirty blonde hair. While helping customers she was drinking from a Jug of tea and opening customers beer with a bottle opener she kept in her Bra, that's very unsanitary and i will never eat or frequent this bowling alley if this is the type of behavior they accept from their employees read more

Had very bad service at the bar. When I asked to speak to his manager regarding poor service and a very bad attitude his exact words "go find him yourself". Needless to say bartender Jerry Michael Mitschke makes all the calls at this location because the Managers on duty did nothing to defend the paying customers and Jerry Michael loves calling Humble Police Department on you! if you disagree with his poor service. Took the kids there early afternoon on a Tuesday while visiting family in Texas. The place looks new. My main complaint is that we actually went there to play laser tag but the laser tag doesn't open until 4:30pm when the high school staff comes in. Same with the sky walk. I guess this makes sense since local kids are in school but it sucks for out-of-towners. We actually called to get info about laser tag before we went and this wasn't mentioned. Although we were disappointed that we couldn't play laser tag, the kids still had a great time playing games and the staff was very polite. To play the games, you put money on a card and swipe the card at each game. If you win tickets, they go on your card so you don't have to carry around paper tickets. We also found out that laser tag is only $2 on Tuesdays but we had plans so we couldn't stay to take advantage of that great deal. We didn't bowl or eat there so I can't comment on that. read more

I come here all the time for cosmic bowl and enjoy the alleys as well as the reasonable prices for not just bowling but the arcade.

Nice place but I was very disappointed. I spent over $300 for my daughters birthday party and regretted it. The staff is awesome they are all nice but it is unorganized management needs to do a better job placing employees where they are needed! Placing an order for food or drinks will take you about an 45 minutes. The bar people work their asses off but they need more help back there. I will never come here again ever! I paid for VIP for my girlfriend's 20th birthday on 01/11/20. I rented 3 lanes for four hours cost me $400.00 When we got there the area was dirty no one ever cleaned from prior party. Cake everywhere and food all on floor. Table was dirty with cake everywhere. NO MUSIC, NO TV'S , When you pay for VIP you should have all these things. Asked for Manager could not get management to come for at least a hour. Nobody knew where he was. When we left finally manger came out and COULD CARE LESS ABOUT COMPLAINTS. The best time ever!!! We decided to have a "Girl Night Out" wearing colored wigs on a Thursday night. Beer was cold, wings were delish ( nice crunchy ) overall food was on point ( pizza, wings and beer). I think we did more dancing than bowling, which just means music was awesome. We went their yesterday and took my son for his first experience to bowl. We paid by the hour. With him being little I debating paying for more than one hour since it would take time for him to bowl. We asked the cashier and he stated that we could always add more time. When it came close to the end of our hour we went to add more time only to be told we couldn't because they were now on a wait and could not extend our time. We had to leave. One of the worst establishments I ever been too. I ask the bartender to remake me a drink because it taste terrible and she told me there policy is that they can not take back drinks and after I asked her it's nothing she can do to help me she called the police officer to try and handle me because she didn't want to deal with me anymore. He came very close to me as if he was about to try and man handle me. This is the worst experience I've here had at any establishment the bartender and the police officer made me feel like they were being very racist towards me. They also weren't helping any of the other black guest. They made them wait while they talked to their friends. read more

I guess I can't really review them since I've never actually bowled there. I did, however, try on three different occasions. I called ahead, was told they didn't take reservations but I shouldn't have any trouble getting a lane that night. When I arrived I was told my group of 4 would not be able to be accomodated that night. At all. Okay, you got busy. We tried again on a weekend afternoon. Upon arrival, I was asked if we were part of the birthday party or the tournament. Since it was neither, we couldn't be accomodated for at least 5 hours (I thought you didn't take reservations...). The final straw was on a weekday afternoon and they were closed during posted business hours. I give up. read more

So today I took 15 of my Managers to Max Bowl for a team building day. I had worked out the details ahead of time. We were given 3 lanes in the VIP area for a couple hours. The bowling was great! We had a blast. We laughed, bowled (horribly), got silly and really bonded as a team. We had food brought out to snack on. The food isn't bad. It is what you'd expect from a family entertainment center. It didn't set the worked on fire but was certainly tasty enough. We never felt rushed and were given time to get everyone ready and into shoes. We were even given time before they started everything so we could have a mini touch base before we started. We then went and played a couple games of laser tag. It is funny to see grown adults running around a laser tag arena. We had several of our managers who did not want to do the laser tag but agreed to be a good sport and give it a try. Let me tell you, my entire team had an absolutely fantastic time. My entire team loved every minute. It was just the stress release we needed. When we were done and sitting around cooling off they all asked if we could do this again for our next event. This was the worse experience ever, I paid for the VIP section and did get anything I paid for. They didn't provide my party with a host until a hour & thirty minutes after the start of my party which was no use because I had to leave my guest and get my own pizza and drinks. I paid for a order of wings and the manager Mike said I would have to pay again for them with the laser tags cards because he couldn't find my order. Our family went there on Saturday evening and were thoroughly disappointed. The place is under construction, but that didn't bother us. The guy that works behind the counter, Mikey, was so incredibly rude to us. My daughter said the place looks strange with all the construction, so the counter guy copped a MAJOR attitude. We were all shocked at his behavior- he basically rolled his eyes at every question we had and threw the shoes on the counter pretty aggressively. We bowled couple of games and left, and have no plans to return. The whole point of going bowling is to have a good time, not deal with a person with an attitude problem! This place has been renovated and is great for kids and adults. In one side there is an arcade and a sky walk, and on the other side is a bar that also served a full menu of food and snacks. The bowling lanes are nice and the balls never get stuck. There are also a few "dinosaurs" or bowling helpers for the little kids. Be sure and get the neon orange balls if you have littles. My 2 and 4 year old had so much fun and enjoyed bowling one game. Summer bowling club for kids let them bowl 2 games for free. If you go on Tuesday you can rent shoes for $2! read more

Thanks to a Yelp offer for free shoes and a $40 for $20 offer this night could have been a disaster. This place is under construction and according to the reviews it has been for sometime. Perhaps, the owner may want to find another crew to complete the renovations. About half of the lanes where not working and there was a 2 hours wait for a lane. Have not been there since they remodeled. Last week of summer vacation for the kids so I took my week vacation from work to do some activities with them before summer was over. They wanted to do the skywalk. Went to the website shows their hours of operation open at 10 o'clock. Nothing on their main page or the skywalk page says anything different about an opening time for this feature. So knowing that we had plans for this afternoon, I woke them up extra early which they were not happy about but wanted to be there at 10 o'clock on the dot. Imagine our surprise when we walk in and skywalk does not open in till noon. Needless to say we cannot wait around for two hours after driving there and they wasted an entire morning of their last week of vacation for nothing. Thanks Max bowl. read more

We live right down the street from this bowling alley, my wife and I came the one night that we got a babysitter and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a bowling alley. We wondered why the parking lot was empty. There shots are 1 oz instead of 1.5 and they charged $6/shot of a well rum. We asked to speak to the general manager and she could have cared less when we told her our complaint. We then told her we wouldn't be back and again she seemed like our business meant nothing to her even though it looked like they were struggling for customers. Wow. Our son's party was awesome. The Max Bowl is a great facility. But it's best asset is the people working there. They were incredibly thoughtful and caring. They also seemed to work as a team. From the moment we walked in, they took care of everything. We had a crazy group but they were unfazed and seemed only interested in making sure we had fun. Had a work event with 16 people and we had a great time. One of our lanes had problems and it took a little bit to get fixed but we had our time reassigned on another lane. This was my first time going to Max Bowl since their big remodel. Very nice and spacious. All equipment and games were working and the staff was attentive and courteous. We just happened to go on Thursday and it evidently is the half price day. Because we signed up the kids for their summer bowling program, it cost us $17 to bowl two games with shoe rentals for a group of 4. Good deal. read more

They have changed the menu a lot. Prices are way to high for a bowling alley. You can't buy a glass of red wine. You have to buy the bottle. $25.00. Its a bowling alley not a restaurant.
