Very disappointed. Boyfriend and his sister paid for a party for his daughter/ there were 8 of us total, they paid for 10 people. When we got there, they were nice. Party host Dalei introduced herself, asked if we needed help setting up, etc. Host brought us some games to keep us occupied until our bowling lane was opened since we were early. we got to our bowling lane and she brought us our food and drinks. We were on frame 3 of 12 (a quarter of the way through our game) when she first approached us and told us "we need to go cut the cake". At that point we asked her if we could finish our game and cut the cake after/ we even offered to pay the time difference incurred, if need be. We were just having such a great time. She said "ok, no problem"/ shortly after we were told we had 5 minutes left on the lane/ which confused me because we were on frame 7 of 12 so we still had some game to go. She informed us in 5 minutes the cake would be cut. At this point a few people in our party were upset because we couldn't finish our game, but we did what we were told. Once we got to the table and lit the birthday candles on the cake, she started cutting down balloons. We had to ask her to please wait until the birthday girl blew out her candles. I thought that was very rude of her to just start cutting down balloons before she even blew out her candles. Afterwards, she served us our cake and handed out the game cards that were prepaid for. As I said before, 10 people were paid for , only 8 showed up, and she only handed out 8 cards. Didn't even mention the other 2 cards, we had to ask for them. As we were cleaning, she mentioned to one of our party that "she couldn't go home until we were done". That explained why she was in such a rush. Not long after , we watched her scurry out the door to her ride. It was raining pretty bad and the electricity went out for less than a minute. Not a biggie, it's Houston, shit happens. What is unfortunate is the credits that were lost at the arcade. Manager on duty was spoken to by one of our party, he was apologetic, and promised to address the situation. I really hope that's the case. No offer to recover our game credits were made. We left with more money in our pockets than we expected, which is unfortunate, considering what we actually intended to spend given the opportunity before our rushed service. The bartender was awesome, 10 out of 10. Cleanliness was a 9 out of 10. read more

My family and I went to Maxx Bowl and had the worst time we went to a party that was there and and my kids wanted to get on the sky walk and the lady that was there didn't want to let my kids on because they werent party of the party (which the were) then I told them to go back and the lady said the same thing then she said then they went back and said we had to buy it again and then she finally let them on and had a really bad attitude. Then after they got done they wanted to see there points and my daughter had 700 points and then the guy that was at the counter mixed the cards up with someone else's that only had 95 points and the other lady and her kids got her points and then the guy denied about what happened. Then after he was confronted again him and his coworker started talking and playing around. The guy didn't even pay attention. I suggest you choose a different location to go to because the kids that work here dont care about the people there and like to play. If I could I would give them 0 stars because it was horrible those workers that assisted my children should be fired. read more

The place is nice but the bartending services was horrible..we stood at the bar for 20 minutes and not one of them helped us or asked us if we been helped. I asked one of them if the bar was closed and she said no and pointed at another lady that she will help us. The lady turned around and went to the back (kitchen) and never came out. The bartenders were walking in and out and it looked like they were ignoring us. We got frustrated and decided to leave. We didn't see no manager in sight to report the issue. Since the reconstruction, it is a much better facility. There are 6 VIP lanes where you aren't usually bothered by all the loud families with a zillion kids. The only downside is that they are almost always really busy, and they don't take reservations anymore unless you physically go in 24 hours ahead of time and make them. read more

This is a great place with lots of fun things to do. I gave it only 3 stars because the arcade needs some maintenance. We played several games that malfunctioned (rebooted) while we were playing. Some had broken buttons or controls, and some were just out of order. They were gracious enough to refund our money on the malfunctioned games, but it was frustrating with small children. read more

I love love the laser tag room. The facility overall is quite nice, clean, well run and the staff is pleasant and helpful. Though I didn't have one, my friend said the burger was heavenly. The arcade is fun too. The bar is awesome and the bowling pin pendant lights are gorgeous and fun. Can't wait to go again and play some more. read more

Came here this past weekend on a Friday with some friends to celebrate her sons' birthday and was not pleased with the manager. Our waitress was very nice, friendly and prompt with our orders. We had a long table with several people and she handle our table very well. That was not the problem. Us adults ordered alcohol and I understand for security reasons we need to be ID but the manager was being very anal about everyone showing IDs even the older parents who look way over 21. Also when ordering a bucket of beer 2 IDs must be presented which I did not like as well. The manager did not even come out to acknowledge us to tell let us know about the procedures of showing IDs. She had the waitress come and tell us which I think was unprofessional. However, on a much positive note, I love the environment there is plenty to keep the kids entertained with bowling, Sky walking, games, laser tag, food and drinks which I loved. The kids had a good time doing all of the above. One thing I did like was you are able to bring outside food like cake and cupcakes if you are celebrating a birthday. You don't have to reserve a party table, if the chairs are available you can move the tables as well to create your own party. The prices are reasonable as well and the game cards are reusable. Oh and if you have the service Verizon it does not work well in this building for some reason. Over all my experience was ok, management sure does need some improvements. read more

Would love to be able to comment on their actual service but we never made it to a lane. Called at 10:55 on Saturday and were told that there are 5 open lanes and they don't do reservations, got there at 11:05 and were told, very rudely, that they had been on a wait since 6:30 and that we would have to wait at least 2 hours to get on a lane. Maybe they should attempt to communicate with one another before making people waste their time driving down there. read more

I witnessed the worst abuse of power tonight. The general manager Amber was an absolutely bully to her employees. She was rude and spoke to them as thought they were her slaves. There was an issue with my order and one of the employees was trying to correct the issue and went to her for help and she was of no help to him, all shen did was yell at him. She didn't realize that I was the person he was trying to help and when I brought it to her attention she first answered me rudely and when I addressed her about the way she was speaking to me she quickly tried to correct it. I was in the management field for over 8 years and I have never nor will I ever speak to one of my employees as she did tonight. I am just flabbergasted with how little respect she has for her employees. But I did enjoy myself until I encountered her. I will post my disgust with this GM all over the internet wherever I can because this is totally unacceptable behavior for a manager. read more

Yesterday we celebrated my daughters 6th Birthday. My daughter loves bowling and so I decided to take her out with my family to a bowling spot. My mom and dad live out in Atascocita and told me there was Max Bowl 3 minutes away from there house. We had never been there and it was our first time going. So we went up there and got 2 hours of bowling. When it was my daughter turn to bowl we got her the little dinosaur to help the ball roll down and go straight. While we were taking turns a lady comes to our section and takes our dinosaur. At the time I was bringing the drinks back and forth to our section because service was at the bar. My dad noticed the lady taking the dinosaur and advised her that we were using it at the time. The lady responded that "she was told by the front service desk that she could take it from us." When my dad asked for it back the lady replied "No I was told I can take it." So I went up to the front and spoke to the supervisor at the time and notified her. I was told "We'll I'm not so sure that my employees told her that, so I can't take full responsibility for it." I then asked for a refund since no one was doing anything about it. When then, I asked my dad walked back up to the front and was coming down on the supervisor about them not telling the lady anything. While she was doing my refund then she offered to tell the lady to give it back. Why do it then when your already giving me a refund. That's the first thing she should've done. We spend over $100 at this place, we purchased a new pitcher of beer and a new pitcher of cokes and didn't even get a chance to touch it. When asked if we could get a refund I was told NO!! My dad then went up to the front and asked again, when he was denied he then told the lady he would leave with the pitchers. She demanded to call the police on him. I understand she had a policy for the beer being taking out of a public place however I do not understand why this supervisor or manager did not help satisfy our situation. She only offer to give me cards to play in the arcade which is not what we came for. I still had 1hr and 12 minutes still worth of playing time and I only got back my 1hr. Which is fine but I would think she would help turn this whole situation around. I was very unsatisfied, and will not be returning back to this place. The only good thing I can say is the other employees were trying to help and give me other options. At this point my family and I were very disappointed and just wanted to leave. We ended up going to showbiz and had a better adventure. read more

So tonight we went to Max Bowl for some holiday family time. We were having a great time. My 13 year old barely 80 lb daughter was bowling and finally getting the hang of it. She was using a 6 pound ball which seemed correct because she's a little bitty thing and her 130 lb mom was using a 9 lb ball because I'm not that strong either. We were laughing and having fun when one of the employees comes over and takes the ball away from her. I could not believe what was happening. It was like we committed a crime. I said, " you've got to be joking, you are really taking this ball from my 13 year old because they are only for 12 and under." He assured me he was. There were tons of 6 lb balls but she couldn't use one because she was too old. Get real!!!!! I was blown away by this. The manager eventually came over because I said to get her. She explained that he handled it wrong and would give us a free pizza. I didn't want anything for free, I wanted my daughter to continue to enjoy herself. The ball was taken away and she did not do well. I am sad that they ruined such a fun family night. read more

This place is great. I took my two boys (ages 10 and 12) there for the first time and they loved it. They both want to have their birthday parties there, now that they have seen it. Bowling, video games, laser tag, and the ropes course. We were there for over three hours, and my boys still didn't want to leave. Don't be scared off by the crowded parking lot -- it was nearly full when we got there and the same when we left -- the place is huge inside and there was no wait for anything. We had my son's birthday party there today and had a wonderful time! We chose the Laser tag birthday and all the kids enjoyed themselves. The party manager accommodated us in to a private room and where very flexible with the schedule. We had a bunch of 5 year olds who where hungry and they adjusted our time to eat to a bit earlier. I appreciate the flexibility and our party host was very helpful and sweet. The facility itself is very nice with a great selection in the arcade games, the laser tag section is new, the bathrooms are clean. I've been here twice now. After the first time, I vowed that I would never go back, but my son begged to go there with friends on his birthday so I caved. It is a fun place for kids. Their customer service is just severely lacking, but it is a bowling alley so there's that. The first visit was for another kids birthday so while the party went on, a friend and I ordered food and drinks at the bar. Over an hour later, and still no food, I went up to the bar to complain. I had to stand in a long line of complainers who had also been waiting an hour or more for their food. The bartender and manager were both unapologetic and extremely rude to the customers complaining before me, so when it came to be my turn I just cancelled my food, got my check, and left. The second visit was better. My only complaint about the second visit was that the customer service was very poor, but after all it is a bowling alley so I'm not going to complain about it too hard. I've never had customer service in a bowling alley, so I'm thinking that must be a thing. It's a pretty clean place. The food is edible. The kids had fun. read more

Love the idea of this place! But management needs to work out some kinks. I took my family here at 7pm on a Thursday night. We wanted to order some grub and drinks and then drop some serious cash in the games room. My son and I love video games and we were so excited!! However bartender was avoiding eye contact with me to take my order so I waited at a virtually empty bar for 20 mins until she said that her system was down (not sure why we couldn't get drinks started until her computer system was rebooted...). Another friendly waitress who worked the lanes took my order. However while we waited for over an hour for food to get there, they turned off all of the video games and blocked off the section!!! It was eight thirty and the place was full with new customers coming. Why would you do that-to save energy???!!!?? So we left. Not sure if I will return just due to pathetic bartender experience, the really long wait for food and shutting down the video section early. I hope this place gets pulled together because I really love the look of it and it is so nice to have a family oriented fun place so close to home. But if customer service is sub par I will have a hard time returning. read more

I took my 12 year old boys to Max Bowl this weekend. We had a great three hours there. Max Bowl is clean (recently remodeled, I think) and well-staffed. The boys really enjoyed the arcade and ropes course. The bowling is good, and the food is better than the average bowling alley. I highly recommend. read more

I just want everyone to be aware of how poorly this place is managed and how the employees are thieves and liars. I attended a birthday party on a Saturday in early august. My bowling ball was damaged in their lanes and I showed this to the guy and girl at the shoe desk. They went to see what they could do and came back saying they would repair and return. They gave me a business card of the manager, Donna Dreyer. After 1.5 months, I called to see if it was ready. The bowling alley personnel told me to contact their bowling repair guy. I did and he had no luck locating my ball and recommended that I contact max bowl again. I spoke with ms Dreyer and she had no knowledge of the situation and repeatedly stated that no one submitted the ball to her for repair which is supposedly their practice. She was rude and was just trying to make it seem that I was fabricating the story. They tried to locate and even spoke with the two workers/thieves that took my ball with no success. I told the I would settle for a credit and she was checking with her manager. They told me yesterday that their manager could do anything because I didn't have a receipt. The employees did not provide one, so somehow this is my responsibility to know their requirements- absurd! I will continue to escalate and pursue additional remedies until this is resolved and post here. The employees and management are dishonest. AVOID THIS PLACE read more
