Luckily, as we communicated through the massage (my choice as it helps me feel more comfortable with the person who's working with me) I learned that his influence is rooted in eastern massage and he made plenty of adjustments to make sure he was effective for me. He ended up using hot stones and checking in often with amount of pressure and comfort and eventually moved onto have a really great neck, and shoulder massage. I came in specifically because I was feeling unwell and suspected a blood sugar issue--especially since lab work from a different clinic the prior week showed a fasting glucose level high enough to indicate diabetes. Despite explaining this, the Physician Assistant (PA) dismissed my concerns, told me I "didn't fit the profile" for diabetes, and ordered a thyroid panel instead. Three days later, the support staff called to tell me they lost my blood sample and needed me to come back in. When I expressed frustration that they lost my sample for a test I didn't even ask for--while still refusing to run the metabolic panel I actually needed--the staff member literally hung up on me. I only returned the next day because it is within walking distance of my house and I was having the same feeling again, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening. While the PA on duty that day was attentive, she ended up sending me to the ER for my blood pressure. After waiting four hours at the hospital, the ER doctor confirmed it wasn't an emergency at all. To top it all off, I received another call from the urgent care informing me that they did eventually run a metabolic panel, and my A1C and fasting glucose levels are, in fact, indicative of diabetes. Between the PA completely dismissing a patient's concerns, the staff losing blood samples, and being hung up on, the lack of professionalism and competence here is alarming. Go somewhere else.

I've received many massages at Dantian Therapy and all of them have been amazing! The atmosphere of the rooms is great and the tables are super comfortable. Every masseuse I've seen is excellent! I've also had acupuncture done here and it worked wonders. Continues to be comprehensive. I think out of the collection of doctors that I have seen over the years. She is perhaps one of the very few that I look forward to seeing. The entire office has an extremely positive vibe. The office is located in an older building however it is very well maintained and parking is very easy. I have recommended many friends to visit this office and none have ever complained or said that they have found better elsewhere. The office pricing is reasonable and very rarely. Do I have to wait more than a few minutes. Dr. D is very consistent in her treatment of her patient. Valorie in the front is so welcoming and tries so hard to appease a patient. I think she is one of the most chill people I have ever met in my last visit. They had a new massage therapist - Rumi. She did very very well in pursuing a knot that I had in my shoulder. It felt so much better afterwards. I would strongly recommend this practice so long as you are not taking my time slot

There are plenty of spa and no frills massage places in the area but I wanted someone who understands physiology and is a certified massage therapist. Kuzu is highly trained and experienced in shiatsu, acupuncture, and other Eastern medicine techniques. His practice focuses on wellness, not just pampering and relaxation, and he is genuinely interested in his patients' health and well-being. The office is located in an office park with a large parking lot and the waiting room is nicely decorated with comfortable seating. The treatment room is small but very clean and cozy. On my first visit, Kuzu took the time to discuss my medical history and current complaints. He had let me know in advance that we would be spending about 10 min on the consultation before the massage so I knew what to expect. For anyone who is unfamiliar with shiatsu, the massage is done on top of your clothes so you don't need to get undressed. However, I was still able to feel the massage and Kuzu made sure the pressure wasn't too strong. He massaged my entire body, including head, arms, legs, fingers, and toes but made sure to address my problem areas. The massage released the tension in my muscles and significantly relieved my pain. Now that I've found Kuzu, I will be going to him regularly. I highly recommend Kuzu to anyone who is looking for a holistic approach to pain relief.

My Response to Josh: I figured that Josh would feel the need to protect himself. The only way Josh could defend himself was to lie about his non- compliance to his contract terms and condition. What he says is definitely defamation. I have been and always will be very careful to not accuse anyone of anything that I am not fully aware of and I have confirmed my position. I don't want anything to come back to haunt me simply because it is not true. The Contractor that contracts the providers, such as Josh, is how I learned of Josh's non- compliance of his contractual obligations, or possibly it could be his plain ignorance of the terms and conditions of his contract. His opinion of the Contractor, I quote "is they ( the Contractor) are "crap." He has also verbalized and written other complaints about this Contractor. He definitely has issues with the Contractor. Aside from a problem that may have existed, Josh refused to service my medical issue, which is against his contractual obligation. Which he was obligated to take care per his contract. Do you want to take a chance with this provider when there are others. I'm not sure if it is acceptable with YELP but if someone needs to call me for details call me at 949-966-2027. The Review Current reviews look too good to be true for Josh, the only at this office. And notice the reviews are outdated. I am not sure, but perhaps there is a way to delete the negative reviews. I don't know because this is the first time I ever reviewed in YELP. I am a 72 year old man who has never wrote a complaint before. I hope my need to write this review is not taken lightly. I felt a need to inform others. Josh does seem OK with skills. But his lack of responsibility and caring has cause me to suffer because he did not follow the terms of his insurers contract. He could have helped and is contracted to provide the help and care that was needed. This is true, even when it very well could have been Josh's fault that a problem or need exists. He shows no desire to help. His "cold" persona became evident. I suffered for 2 weeks because of something that Josh should have taken care of but didn't. I had to follow up on my own and found that there were more than one part of his provider contract that he did chose to not comply with, because he did not want to comply. He did not follow the terms of an insurers contract, so I suffered. His non compliance was confirmed by the insurer. I expect that most of you will assume Im just a complainer or being vengeful. I am not. Look, do your self a favor, and regardless of the very few reviews here, there are many other acupuncturists in the OC area, choose a different provider. Josh may be skilled, but why choose an important provider for your needs that will not take care of you when you really need the care. And is above following all the terms of his contract or did not care to know the terms of his contract.

He tries to figure out where the pain is originating and has a whole body approach that I appreciate very much. Emily, the massage therapist, is wonderful. I see her for lymphatic massages. She's wonderful at lymphatic but is also able to work on deep tissue if needed during my session so she helps me with recovery as well. I was having issues with foot pain and Emily helped me discover that the source was tightness through the back of my legs all the way to my glutes. Once she worked on the areas, my foot pain is practically zero. It's important to see medical professionals that do not treat just the area of pain but look further into where the pain originates. I almost got a shot in my foot for this pain from my podiatrist and I'm so glad I didn't. I thank Emily for helping me solve my problem and bring me relief. I can run again because these people care to help and look for why the pain is happening to begin with. The support staff is wonderful too. Everyone is so nice.
