I have never been to a chiropractor before but my entire family goes to Dr. Erickson so I decided to try it out as I have a year long uncomfortable but not super painful shoulder pinch. I finally get the hype! Dr. Erikson is SUPER knowledgeable and I literally felt and saw immediate results which was shocking. We all know shoulder injuries are complex because of all the muscles in the shoulders but he almost knew immediately what the issue was and made me laugh through the most painful parts (which was really minimal if I'm being honest). He also did an overall check and found that my back is also not in mint condition as I can see by one of my legs being shorter than the other. The way that he explained and showed what was going on and what he's trying to do made me feel so comfortable for my first adjustment. And about that massage... well the massage was DEEP - this is not your relaxing spa day but it is healing! Another thing I value about this office, aside from it being SUPER clean, is that they do not push you to spend your money. Yes, you have to pay for your treatment but there is no pressure to come more than you want to even if the Doctor recommends more. This makes me trust them even more so I'm happy to call Dr. Erikson my doctor that is going to see me through recovery! I can't wait to give an update once I'm further along in care. Dr. Kevin Parker is incredible! I have scoliosis (curved spine), which esp. at the places my back curves, gives me problems and pain, often to the point of not being able to function, work, etc. It happens at random times and usually at the most inconvenient! No matter what, I always get into Dr. Parker, and he has me good as new in 1 visit. I walk out of his office feeling like a whole new person every time. I am especially grateful that he never rushes the appointment, educates me, and there is no pressure on how often I visit. I have been seeing Dr. Parker for neck , shoulder pain and its resulting headache for over 25 years. I had tried everything. In 2012, Dr. Parker set me up with three months of spinal decompression therapy ( I had bulging discs in my neck confirmed via MRI). I've been coming here since 2015. I found Irvine Spine and Sport on Yelp when I was in a lot of pain and searching for help after two car accidents. I ended up with Dr. Parker, and he took time to understand what my injuries are and help me get better through his treatment in the office and his advice on things I could do to manage my pain outside of his office too. I have also been treated by Dr. Erickson and Dr. Twombly, and they are both very skilled chiropractors too. I have found that Dr. Parker style works best for me because he uses a special table that helps stretch out the body and allows him to see where there's restrictions in the body as it's doing that. He also has what I would consider a more gentle style of adjusting than some chiropractors, but he gets amazing results without feeling like there is too much pressure on the body during the adjustments. The massage therapist there are very talented and good at getting work done quickly during the short amount of time they have. read more

And it'd be assured to assess whatever you need I go to Dr Parker been Exquisite every single time taking care of my entire body with appropriate charges for anything extra nothing outrageous and I use their DRX which is enabled me to use the compression therapy that very few people offer at a reasonable price and TLC to make sure that you're getting what you need from that machine. For me it's dealing with spinal stenosis and I'm thrilled to death to be able to walk no surgery. Ashanti at the front desk is always super friendly and helpful. She makes sure you feel welcome, communicates clearly, offers coffee/water, even checks on the doctors if you are just briefly waiting. There are three chiropractic doctors you can choose to be your main doctor. Mine is Dr. Twombly. He is extremely kind, experienced, knowledgable and wise. He would show me the anatomy to help me better understand the causes of pain and the mechanism of the intervention. He taught me a pretty novel exercises with a theraband I can do at home. He takes a holistic approach and reminds me how perfectionism is underneath the symptoms and gets expressed in my body. I have experienced two massage therapists so far and I especially highly recommend Daniel. He is very precise and firm (in a good way). I also love their membership program where you can have unlimited chiropractic, massage, water massage, stretch, etc. I certainly find frequent visit with adjustment and massage help release the tension and reduce the pain I experience. I get pains in my back sometimes from sitting at a desk all day. Unlike most chiropractors who would just have me come in for dozens of sessions, they helped educate me on which exercises I could do to strengthen the muscles in the area to prevent it from happening in the first place. Now my back feels better and the occasional times where I still need help, I can come in and get friendly service. Their new receptionist is amazing and friendly too. Excellent care. My neck trouble was fixed in two visits. They don't crack you 3x a week here for all eternity. They get you into shape with a mix of adjustments and deep tissue massage. And you're good to go again. (I can't speak for all cases and they certainly have other tools, but their philosophy is fix and then just maintain as needed once a month or whenever you feel like coming back. Doctors here are amazing, I went to see Dr. Twombly and he explained my problem areas very thoroughly, walked me through the process of healing, and has taken the time to get to know the treatments I have received in the past to see what would help. The only reason I am deducting a star here is because of the receptionist. She isn't very helpful. I don't think it is too much to ask the following questions as a first-time visit patient without her getting irritated? 1. I have the XYZ insurance, does this practice accept it? 2. So, I'll get a call back when you get an answer? My family and I have been to a few chiropractors over the years, but none of them compared to the level of care and attention we've received from Dr. Parker. The adjustments we receive are wonderful. While working on healing from an injury I was able to talk things through, and come up with a plan to speed up recovery. He's a kind and attentive doctor, giving the love and attention needed. They truly care about their patients' well being and will go above and beyond to make sure you are provided the best care possible. They have amazing massage therapists that help relax the muscles to ensure the adjustments are stabilized and set. They also provide spinal decompression, a pressure water massage bed, heated lamp therapy for additional services. As an Osteopathic physician myself knowing the types of adjustments needed could not find any practicing osteopaths that really practice manipulation therapy. I was a bit weary going to a chiropractor. Well I must say these guys are the best at what they do. If I have seeing them since 2012 and continue to see them its because they do a great job!!! Three hours ago I wrote a one star review for another chiropractic office in Irvine that had 260 reviews. It took me five days from my "initial visit" to actually being scheduled for the actual adjustment. Unhappy with my experience, I called D.C. Twombly's office. Within 30 minutes I was receiving one of the best adjustments I have ever had in my life. I was also having nerve pain in my hip and leg which immediately disappeared. Having received adjustments from different chiropractors for over 35 years, I know the real thing when I see it, "and feel it." D.C. Twombly has been practicing for 42 years! My initial thought was that he was incredibly knowledgeable, but was he big enough to give the excellent adjustments that I was looking for. His knowledge and experience was immediately apparent because he didn't have to use brute force, because he was able to use the precise mechanics needed to give me the best adjustment I've had in many many years. Afterwords I received massage therapy in his office that was amazing. Women beware of this office! My boyfriend went here for a consultation on his back pain, and I tagged along because we were going somewhere after. Throughout his appointment with Dr. Twombly, I felt extremely uncomfortable. Dr. Twombly made various comments while examining my boyfriend about our relationship, asking my boyfriend "how good of a girlfriend I was" to him. When my boyfriend stepped out for a sports massage, Dr. Twombly asked me a long line of very intrusive questions about our relationship and myself again that were too personal. I tried to excuse myself to go to the bathroom, and he insisted on walking me there, putting his hand around my waist while we walked down the hall to the bathroom. When I came out, hoping to just sit alone away from him in the waiting room, he was waiting for me and offered to "let me try their new massage equipment for free". I felt awkward in what to do or say and tried my best to be polite while keeping distance. The whole interaction was extremely uncomfortable and left me feeling gross. While I can see others have had positive experiences here, I wanted to share mine just so people were aware. read more
