My son was born in October and just turned three last month. Early on, I began noticing differences between him and my oldest daughter. While I know it's natural for children to develop at their own pace, it was hard not to compare when my daughter hit every milestone on time. My son's milestones were delayed--he sat up, crawled, and rolled over later than his sister. Most notably, his speech was delayed. That's when I started researching resources and was connected with the Regional Center, which introduced us to Maxima. I cannot express how fortunate we have been to have Hadas as my son's child development therapist. She is nothing short of phenomenal. Hadas is one of the most genuine, caring people I've ever met. Her passion for her work and the children she helps is evident in everything she does. My son absolutely adored her--he was always thrilled to see her and heartbroken when she had to leave. What sets Hadas apart is her ability to address every area of development. She didn't just work with my son on his speech--she also focused on occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and fine and gross motor skills. She has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and previously worked as a behavior specialist, which made her approach incredibly well-rounded and effective. With years of experience across multiple fields, Hadas brought so much value to my son's development. When we started, my son could barely say five words and often whispered. He signed inconsistently but wasn't communicating effectively. After a little over a year with Hadas, he made incredible progress--he went from barely speaking to forming full sentences with five to six words. Today, he's right where he should be developmentally, and I owe so much of that to her. Every session with Hadas was fun, engaging, and tailored to my son's interests. She brought a variety of toys to each visit, thoughtfully choosing items she knew he'd love. She pushed him to reach new milestones, encouraged him at every step, and celebrated his successes. Along the way, she also provided me with invaluable advice and insights that I will always carry with me as a parent. I truly cannot recommend Hadas enough. My very shy 2 y.o started speech therapy with Elizabeth Tamanaha from Maxima therapy about two months ago and all I can say is 5 stars are not enough. She is exceptional! My son went from barely 12 spoken words to 50+ words, phrases and attempts in just a few weeks! He even signs! Elizabeth literally worked wonders at unlocking his language potential. I know every child is different and reacts differently to speech therapy, but I know my son. We work around a bunch of people, friends and nursery staff, but no one got him to talk like he does with Elizabeth. She has years of experience and it shows in the way she works. My boy is usually completely shut down around people he doesn't know, but Elizabeth has been so genuinely patient, supportive and dedicated that he started to open up after the second session! She took time to learn to know my son and figure out the way he learns. I could see that she tailored her technique to fit my son's learning style and now he feels completely comfortable around her! She got him to talk a lot and I think it's really sweet to see him actually enjoying learning with her. I don't have enough words to say how amazing she is and I am so grateful for her. They've done such incredible work with my 3-year-old son, and the progress he's made is beyond what we could have hoped for. Thanks to their physical therapist, Fernis, my son is now walking, running, and jumping with confidence. And their Child Development Specialist, Rainu, has been a game-changer--not only for my son but for our whole family. She has helped him develop tools to regulate his emotions and communicate effectively when he needs or wants something. My son Josiah was given a referral for speech therapy through the regional center and it caused me great anxiety because I didn't want the visits to interfere with my work schedule and Josiah's daycare schedule and it seemed like everyone only wanted to work Monday-Friday 9-5. It took a few weeks, but the regional center found me Ms Sasha! I love that she visits Josiah at school and keeps me updated through phone or text. Sasha is punctual, reliable, and respectful of school policies. She has a warm and friendly demeanor that makes the staff and children comfortable. I am told that my son gets excited when he sees her. She can get Josiah's speech therapy done without interfering his lunch and nap time. She was flexible and allowed extra time when Josiah needed an increase in hours. He is still a work in progress, but I am seeing improvements in his speech every week. We had such an amazing experience with Maxima Therapy. Ceci Rubio was such a blessing for my family. She worked with both of my daughters and worked with us from 2021- August 2024. Ceci worked with my four-year-old daughter from age 15 months until she was three and also worked with my youngest daughter from the time she was 12 months until three. I loved her work ethic and how she always consistently switched up the activities they would be doing during therapy. Whatever my girls needed she knew exactly what to do. Both of my daughters did therapy 2x a week and always looked forward to it. My 6 year old son has Autism and she was always so patient or would bring a toy for him to play with on the side while his siblings did therapy. Ceci made it very easy to communicate with and was always so understanding. As a parent she helped me alot and helped me navigate with challenges or concerns. We worked as a team. We worked with Maxima Therapy for our twin boys who were born premature. All of the therapists were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, patient, and very helpful. Our speech therapist, Alyson Dabhi, was particularly excellent. We were a bit unsure about doing speech therapy over Zoom, but after a couple of sessions with Alyson all of our worries were removed. Alyson was super friendly and very flexible with activities (often our boys weren't interested in any "formal" activities, but Alyson was quick to adapt and use their play as a way to introduce words/phonics and commands). She was also great at answering all of our questions and teaching us how to continue the speech principles outside of our time with her. Our boys looked forward each week to their therapies and playing with the therapists from Maxima Therapy. We would highly recommend this company and their therapists for any family in need of particular developmental therapies for their own children! read more

My son Daniel was receiving child development therapy from Mercedes Saenz from Maxima. When they first met it was so hard because he was not used to change and a lot of scheduling had to change when he started receiving therapy, but Mercedes made it so much easier day by day. She didn't speak that one word and when they finish their treatment, he was communicating more. He was using sign language. He was using sound. He actually asked when he wanted some thing he would use some of his sign language with somebody structure language. Overall, my experience with Mercedes was one of the best by far she accomplished so much and she was able to get him to actually pay attention to her. They work in so much areas together for that I think her because it made me be able to communicate with my son so much easier, I would totally highly recommend working with Maxima and for child development suggesting Miss Mercedes Saenz. read more

We met Christina Gonzalez over 2 years ago for services for our daughter, Farah. From the second Christina did an evaluation of her, we felt a connection between her and our daughter.
