Shes has a fun personality and always makes me laugh. I also go to Sylvias non heated vinyasa class thursday mornings and shes the one to go to if you want a kick ass difficult class with a unique flow. So go to her class if you want to be challenged! Ive also taken classes by Jackie and shes amazing as well and does a more challenging flow. Jena is great too for a easier more gentle vinyasa flow. Honestly all the instructors are amazing!

They're located at the Del Mar Plaza, 2nd floor , by Il Fornaio. I do free 2h street parking vs the garage parking (as I'm not sure it's validated). I've only tried the Yoga Flow 2 classes with Emily and the owner Nicole. Both women have their own styles BUT offered personal yet challenging poses and flows. The heat the first time was pretty palpable but the 2nd visit wasn't so bad (at first). The class moves quickly so you build a sweat FAST. I haven't seen many beginners in class but each instructor has taken the time to go to almost every person to correct form which was so helpful. The music selection has been great as well. It isn't the elevator or spa music you tend to hear but rather energized music that gets you working harder. It's such a great new studio and the heat factor really brings in another dimension to this yoga practice. I absolutely recommend The Yoga Barre!

She mentioned she could have a look and see where my alignment was off and where I might have been naturally trying to heal myself. Still in pain I figured id try a chiropractor which still didn't work. Then I was referred to Mindful Movement and Manual Therapy by a friend who raves about Corrie. Since I was still in major pain I figured I'd give everything a try. First I did what is called the MELT method which was like a self neck massage to help with pain relief. I immediately had more movement in my neck with less pain. Next she started massaging my neck, back and shoulder, finding trigger points which also instantly relieved my pain. I was not a fan of massage before my visit as I had tried it before but broken and sore with zero flexibility and chronic back and chest pain from an injury and a lifetime of lower back issues I decided to try it once more. I am converted my friends, healed by the truly talented hands of a gifted, caring and delightful healer. The magic started with Darby's sweet caring demeanor as she listened with earnest as I told her of my lifestyle, my pain, and the activities I had been deprived of due to pain. She carefully described the session and the methods she would be employing and she gently encouraged me to let my body heal by letting go mentally and spiritually of the stress I was holding inside. After I got settled she entered the room and gently began to explore trouble areas as she narrated the session in a soothing voice. Then the mastery of her craft began to unfold as I felt years of misused muscle tissue respond and the pain began to release. The more she worked the deeper I began to feel the release until such a point as I felt my mind and spirit soar. I was used to flinching and wincing through a session and feeling only mildly better afterward. This time was different as I felt younger, lighter and most importantly happier with every passing moment.
