I love coming to Pilates republic! I typically go to the Carlsbad location but this is my other favorite. The instructors are all so nice and there's more merch at this location which is super cute!! There is technically two studios, a smaller one in the back and a bigger one by the entrance which I love because it gives you more time slots to pick from. read more

I've been to many Pilates studios. This one is by far the best. The instructors are all well trained, knowledgeable, and caring. The facility is clean and professional. Worth every penny. I wish I still lived in San Diego - I would be here all the time. Julie (Julia?) stood out to me as the best instructor I've ever had. Every move she presented felt incredible and instead of hoping for it to end, I wanted to keep going! I cannot wait to visit again and take her class, and the other ones as well. Thank you so much for showing me what quality Pilates is and raising my standard (to what is now impossibly high )! read more

Still my favorite Pilates studio! I love the instructors for their high energy and music choices. The classes are easy to book with their app and has a flexible 8 hour before cancellation policy. They have great intro price, 3 classes for $30. You will get hooked after! They also have great deals on discounted classes once you get on their email list. Every class (even the same type of class, like tone, heat or empower) is always different. You'll never bored doing a repetitive routine! I practiced traditional reformer Pilates for several years before joining Pilates Republic. After taking more than a dozen classes at the Del Mar location, I can confidently say that I love the program. The variety of classes throughout the day and week make it very easy to fit workouts into my busy schedule. The instructors I've tried so far have all been excellent. They provide clear instructions and lead well-structured, challenging routines that reflect the indicated class difficulty levels. Each class feels like time well spent taking care of yourself, whether the focus is on traditional alignment or a full-body power workout. I highly recommend Pilates Republic. What a great first experience at a Pilates reformer class. The women working there were so nice and accommodating. They took the time to introduce me to the reformer, fill me in on the 'lingo,' and socks and straps were available at the desk. It was a seamless introduction and I felt confident and comfortable during the class. Alaina was the instructor and she was amazing. Well spoken, great pace, provided scalable options for most of the movements and she challenged us all appropriately. The studio is clean, in fact the woman NOT instructing the class was cleaning during the class! The facilities are all well kept and clean. The storefront is adorable. I've been doing Pilates for a number of years now but nothing compares to Mary Kate O'Sullivan's advanced class!! WOW she is in a league of her own!!!! Her instruction is incredible. She counts down everything, tells you what is coming, makes corrections to our form and tells us "yes we can" when we feel we don't have another rep in us- she reminds us we can do it!! Now that I've had a few classes under my belt I can finally say I am a Pilates princess! I love the clean open airy vibes of this studio. It actually is much larger than what it looks from the outside. There is even a little studio behind the main one. Plenty of lockers and cubbies to place items. They always feel secure as you can see who's inside the studio from where you are working out. They let you borrow loops just leave you car keys in the wood tray as collateral. They have a small retail area with the cutest items. My fav classes so far are empower and align. Tried the hitt class and it was too much jumping which is not my thing. My fav part of this studio is they have classes available all around the clock! Even classes Sunday afternoon which I appreciate. Parking is a breeze and lots of shops nearby same center to tackle extra errands as needed. My fav are the Crumbl and drive thru Starbucks! There is a lot of classes waitlisted but people always cancel so I've never had a problem not getting in! Staff is always pleasant and all the instructors have been wonderful! read more

Pilates Republic, Del Mar is always immaculate! The instructors are all very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I have simply not experienced a bad class and I take classes about 3-5 times per week. Staff manning the front desk understand how far a smile goes in this hurried world. Though classes are 45 minutes, you will get a work out with wonderful sequencing for intermediate/advanced levels. Even if you take a standard beginning level class, instructors will find ways to challenge you with modifications that are your choice entirely. Excellent over-all energy. 5 stars for this studio!!! The studio has a wide variety of equipment, which is great, but there was a lot going on visually. Equipment and bins were spread throughout the space, making it slightly difficult to move between machines. I appreciate the variety, but better organization would really improve the flow of the room. The class itself was unique, with a mix of ages and genders, which I liked. The instructor was kind, asked about experience levels, and offered helpful modifications to either intensify or simplify movements. That said, there were moments where direction wasn't super clear, and some people (myself included) got a bit lost. The pillars in the middle of the room also made it hard at times to see demonstrations. Cleanliness was okay... the equipment didn't look dirty, but it didn't feel particularly clean either. For example, around the weight-changing areas, there was visible dust, hair, and debris. The area for shoes and bags also had a slight odor. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. The instructor and workout itself were good, but the small details (organization, cleanliness, and overall flow) made a difference. I'd probably try other studios before returning, but I wouldn't completely rule it out.

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.
