The company advertises "professional, reliable, trained experts," but the service has been anything but that from day one. From the very first visit, the quality of work was disappointing. The man who arrived performed work that honestly could have been done by a teenager for a fraction of the cost, yet we were charged nearly $300. When I asked basic lawn care questions, his trained expert opinion was he wasn't sure. Completely unsure and unable to provide answers! They also promise advance notice before arriving, but they have failed to do so repeatedly. Crews have shown up as late as 8PM on a Saturday without any communication. Most concerning, while we were out of town, they SOMEHOW entered our LOCKED backyard without permission. We never authorized access, and entering a locked yard without consent is completely unacceptable and felt like a violation of our privacy. On top of that, the work itself is careless. Weeds along the sides are ignored, grass clippings are left piled around the house. For the amount they charge, the service is nowhere near worth it. This company requires full payment for the entire season upfront, but when we tried to cancel due to poor service and requested a refund since they would not be completing a full season worth of services, we were told "sorry wish we could help you, but the money has already gone to operations". Despite multiple requests, I have yet to receive documentation supporting the alleged "verbal no refund would be issued agreement". To make matters worse, during one of my calls, I overheard another customer expressing similar frustrations with the company's service!! Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. After the police cleared the scene, they left so much debris/glass/nails/wood etc all over the property and sidewalk. and we couldn't for the life of us find someone to help with clean up. We called police, state dept, crime scene clean up crews, the fire department, etc and no one could help... Enter Brandon! A real life hero. He called back immediately and within 20 minutes was out to our property to assess the situation and cleaned everything within 2 hours. Not only that, but he called in a friend from the State to fix the stop sign which had been taken down by the driver as well (which gosh, who knows how long that would've taken otherwise). I found J&C through Nextdoor after creating a posting about wanting someone to quote us on a bunch…read moreof mostly unrelated things: - Yard cleanup/haul-away - Sprinkler repair/install - Sod installation - Rock removal - Moving a cedar playhouse I was almost positive that no one would respond considering that a sprinkler specialist probably wouldn't want to move rocks, or a yard cleanup company wouldn't know how to fix sprinklers, etc. However, after I created the posting, I received a message from Jose (the owner of the company). He lives fairly close to me, so he was able to come over to my house to get some information before providing an estimate. About 30 minutes after he left, the estimate was in my inbox and was surprisingly reasonable for everything we wanted done. We agreed, and Jose was able to start that Saturday (which was also a pleasant surprise!) Jose had said that their crew could get everything done in a single day. I was skeptical, but also very excited at the thought of having a new backyard in a day. Saturday came, and his crew got to work around 8 am. They were very fast and professional. We couldn't believe how quickly they worked and how responsive they were to my little changes here and there. There were a couple unforseen issues that came up with our sprinkler system that caused the quote to increase, but Jose explained these things before doing the work. This gave us the opportunity to consider the additional costs ahead of time, instead of getting sticker-shocked at the end of the process. The crew completed the work before nightfall and the results were absolutely amazing. I would recommend Jose and J&C to absolutely anyone who needs yard work of any kind, and will be working with him again for our upcoming front yard project as well.
