Carlos came out and provided 2 different quotes, one for full replacement and another one for replacing only a portion to include upgrading all the vents. I wasn't expecting that but after consideration, I thought that was the best option. We scheduled the repair and they were prompt, professional, and clean. His team came out on time and worked like a machine to complete in one day. They cleaned up after they were done and then the foreman came out same day to inspect and perform quality control. Aside from saving me thousands on our options, I was very impressed with SoCal from start to finish. I would highly recommend their services.

I really wanted to give this company 5 stars because of Jose, the foreman. He was amazing to work with, attentative, and prompt. Salt of the earth! Carlos, the owner, was also amazing, prompt, straightforward, knowledgeable. They did an amazing job on my roof. Roof itself 5/5. No complaints. However, I do believe the job and the service itself is 3 stars. Not bad but not amazing. I ended up walking away from this experience just kind of meh but wanted to share my honest thoughts so it'll help others. That being said, there were a couple hiccups that happened along the way. No one contacted me prior to the day of my start date/roof removal. The office manager kind of chucked it as the person who supposed to let me know was out sick. They require someone be home to sign off on the work so not letting me know seemed off.. Not a peep about what time theyll be arriving, what to expect. Etc. Yes, they walk you through this process during quotation but thats about 4 to 6 weeks out before the actual day. They also didnt let me know which day or what time. I had to reach out myself multiple times. The team is quick but I also think their speed leaves them a bit careless. After they were done, I was left with a patched ceiling (beautifully patched but I feel like shouldn't have happened in the first place), kitchen/outdoor light that no longer works, loose recessed lighting,, and plumbing leak. They also let you know and disclose that things may break since theres pressure on the roof. Its in the contract but it highlights loose items and such... but realistically, not electrical going out or plumbing leaks based on what ive learned from others and neighbors. I also had my plumbing inspected and redone in September 2024. Now, im not saying they were at fault and that theyre to blame. It could just be my luck that it happened exactly on the day they were up on my roof after living here over a year. Also, very minor but there were trash left around that my inspector found. They were accomodating on making things right although they started to be a little short with me towards the end. I really considered referring them to other friends who needed their roofing done but not sure if my confidence is there if theyll be spending $$$ for an ok experience.

Work we wanted done: New roof and Solar installation. 1000 sqft home with 12 panels. When we started the process: August 15th Cost: 65k Why we chose them: They are not the best priced but we felt like their service level would be better than a huge national company. We were very wrong. Also they were certified platinum through the roofing company and solar we wanted. What has gone wrong in a nutshell: We felt very forgotten and gaslit throughout this process. We were told and notified things were submitted when they weren't. They blamed the city on getting permits on time but in reality the permits were approved weeks before they came out. The process wasn't given to us on how things were going to happen and in what steps, we got different answers every time we asked about this. Then when we follow up we get told that we still have time etc etc. Even when we have people scheduled to come do the install the workers didn't show up, they didn't even know until we called, then said a delivery should have happened the day before. Again, not keeping us in the loop. I would have assumed that through all the hoops we had to jump through they would have given us more TLC, nope. Not at all. Nick Messenger said he was going to personally help me project manage this, but I haven't heard back from him after he made that comment. Not through text not through call. And every time we do talk on a call it's because whatever was happening blew over and he would assume that I'm happy now. So all in all this is just another really good sales team. I highly suggest not going with them and finding a cheaper place that might be a national company of sorts so that you have more protection and better pricing. Anywho feel free to DM me if you want proof and details. I attached some of the communication I have had with them too.

I was promised a technician will come and show us how to operate the system, the scheduling for that has been a nightmare. I reached out to their Marketing Director who promised to assist, but that didn't lead to anywhere. Overall extremely poor communication and even poorer project management. The owner Hazel doesn't seem to care - initially said she will take over communication and then she was just as bad. I have made every possible effort and have voiced every possible concern, but that has all been brushed off. ----- Communication throughout this entire project has been extremely frustrating, and often nonexistent. Nick was my original Project Manager, and later Hazel, the company owner, took over. Initial meetings went well, and Nick said all the things I wanted to hear. We signed agreements in September, and I was asked multiple times to provide copies of my utility bill. By the end of October, I hadn't heard anything, so I followed up myself about permits. During the sales process, I was told permits take 6-8 weeks, but later I was told they're instant. Communication was either completely silent or contradictory. At the end of November, after chasing for updates again, I was told someone would contact me the week of Thanksgiving to schedule installation. That didn't happen. In early December, after following up again, I was suddenly told I needed a different system installed--supposedly better, but with a shorter warranty. I didn't really have a choice, so I agreed. Installation was scheduled for December 8. December 8 came and went--no one showed up, no call, nothing. I escalated, and Hazel personally assured me she would oversee the project. A new date was set for December 16, and the system was finally installed. After that, I was told Edison needed to install a meter, and that the system should be operational by mid-January. They had me sign an installation completion document and followed up aggressively to get it signed, but what they didn't explain is that they would use that to immediately collect payment from my lender - before the system was operational or had passed inspections. Throughout January, I kept following up and was told Edison was outside their control. On January 13, my father passed away, and I informed them I had to leave the country. I stressed that Edison needed access before I left since my home is gated. Hazel completely ignored my calls and messages. I contacted Nick, and instead of helping, he accused me of "creating negative scenarios" for simply asking questions and expressing frustration. He said he would coordinate with my husband while I was gone, but never even contacted him. I returned on January 31 to find no one had reached out. Edison had eventually shown up and luckily was able to access the property through my mother-in-law. I followed up again - Nick didn't respond. I called Hazel who told me there are still inspections required, with no clear timeline. Today is February 9, and I'm waiting on the first inspection on February 13. The system is still not operational, and I have no clarity on when it will be. They just continue blaming it on other parties but still don't proactively communicate to keep me informed, I have to drag it out of them. A lot of important details were never disclosed during the sales process, especially the number of third-party dependencies and delays that may occur. Despite this, they've already collected full payment from my lender. I'm now paying for a system that isn't working, with no clear timeline on when it will be and no accountability from the project team. I've also not been trained on what to do and how to use the system once it is in fact live. I would not recommend working with them. It's also awfully inappropriate to be sending Facebook friend requests to customers.

He was extremely thorough and truly left no stone unturned. He found issues that other inspectors could have easily overlooked, and those findings ended up helping me secure a sizable credit from the seller during negotiations. Roof - replacement took only 3 days , including gutters/downspouts. Solar - would have taken less than a few days, hadn't there been an issue with our electrical line location from main to sub panel (one of those unexpected unknowns). Solar install guys were great in that they made sure I was aware what equipment/line was going where and how is was going to be connected - we made a few small changes here and there and I really like the outcome. The biggest issue, by far, has been communication, specifically with Stan, who was my main point of contact. He was extremely unreliable and difficult to reach. Texts and calls weren't just delayed, they were ignored for weeks at a time. There was no consistency, no follow-through, and no real accountability. I was given the wrong inspection date, which caused us to miss it while out of town and forced a reschedule delaying the project even further. That mistake alone should have been avoidable. Even more frustrating, after telling me "everything is all set" and that I could reach out anytime, he completely disappeared. I've sent multiple messages about ongoing delays and got no response. At that point, it stops being a communication issue and becomes a breakdown in basic professionalism. The process has taken far longer than expected. I started in December, and as of April, I'm still waiting for everything to be fully cleared even though installation has already happened. I've had to call different numbers just to get basic updates on what's going on or what's missing, which shouldn't be necessary. That said, not everyone on the team has been an issue. Tony, who handled the installation, was excellent, responsive, professional, and quick to address problems when they came up. Jason Anderson was also great to work with during the initial phase and helped get things moving. Bottom line: I'm happy with the decision to go solar, but the communication and project management, especially from Stan, have made the process feel unnecessarily difficult. If those issues were fixed, this would have been a much smoother experience.

Received a call that someone would come to our home Friday, May 8th at 8 am. I received a text from an employee named Justin describing his background and that he would be here at 8 am on Friday. At 9 am I texted him to ask his whereabouts. No answer. I advised him we would be walking the dog and to text me when he was arriving. Justin never returned my texts nor did he show up. The owner Sergio showed up at 10 am. I advised him Justin never contacted me back. Apparently, there was a call in so Justin was needed to do a job but Justin never bothered to inform us. Sergio said the company has a 2 hour window for any estimate appointments. This detail was not on the mail I was sent saying the appoitnment was at 8 am. I told Sergio I just wanted the ponding to be sprayed and that I would apply the 2 coats of elastomeric myself. To me, it felt like he was using scare tactics and saying the job required a full crew. He said all of the solar panels needed to be covered which made sense to me. I have bought and sold several homes and have had rentals. I understand the work required to do a job. To me, it would take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours tops to spray foam the areas that needed to be raised just a few inches. We agreed the total sqaure footage to be spray a few inches was approximately 500 square feet. He said he needed the weekend to come up with an estimate because he had softball over the weekend. People have socials lives. I get it. To me, based on the work required and the amount of spray foam needed, I felt an appropriate estimate would be $2000 tops. I asked him off the top of his head what a rough quote would be, he said between $5000 and $7000. Well, it is Friday and no call, no email, no text and no quote. Again, I felt he was trying to scare me as I suspect he did not understand my knowledge base. You have a choice in picking a contractor in doing roof repair. Would you pick a contractor whose employees do not show up, someone finally shows up 2 hours late, claims there is a 2 hour window, verbally quotes a ridiculous amount, says a written estimate is coming 3 says later, then fails to sent a quote or any form of communication a week later?

The entire crew worked seamlessly work together in unison to finish my whole reroofing in 3 days. I was initially skeptical since others stated 5+ days, but I could see how organized and efficient the team was. Since roofing is expensive and stressful, I made sure to get four other competitive quotes from other roofers. The price from ASR came out the best with the same specs, but I would still have went with ASR even if they were more expensive, just because of the trust I had in Bryan. Throughout, I got to meet Bryan's father, Frank who has 30 years of roofing experience and was accommodating to my needs such as when I requested protection of my garden during tear-off. I also met Bryans brother Steven during the shingle installation, which reinforced the sense that this was a family business that genuinely cares about the quality of their work. Finally, after the installation was finished, the team still cared very much about passing inspection for permitting and to ensure their reputation is upheld. Even after payment was completed, they continued providing follow-up support when needed, which gave me additional assurances in their commitment to quality. I highly recommend All Service Roofing (ASR).
