I called Maxum to change my overhead sprinkler system for my garden to a drip line system. I was quoted a price of $450. The technician came out and did the job and I received a bill for $938. Several times I called about the price but no one called me back. When my plants in several garden beds started dying, I called to get a technician to come and check the system but they refused to send a technician unless I paid their bill. After much haggling, they said they would deduct $165 and pay $773. Then they would send someone to look but only after I paid their bill. The owner would not call me to discuss the bill. So I had to water by hand the last two months to keep my plants alive. Finally, I got a message to pay their bill $450 which I paid immediately. Then they ended my service. read more

Very aggressive billing! They charged $135 to come out for a service call, but then $105/hr. It took two guys 2.5 hours to repair one break and replace two heads. I don't find them to be very knowledgeable. I had to correct their work several times and point out very obvious things. They were also running very late, and called specifically when I told them I would be unavailable to try to reschedule. At the end of the day, it cost me nearly $600 to be aggravated, have my time wasted, and over-repair. I won't use them again. read more

I had an awful experience with Maxum. They billed me continuously for service, repairs, maintenance and time. I was continuously charged, sometimes three months in a row where they stated they did a full walk-through ,maintenance and repairs. I discovered that they did not repair or maintain my properties irrigation system but was charged inordinate amounts, sometimes several months in a row. All they cared about was getting paid and after three years of being continuously billed, my system is still in need of an entire revamp and the broken system caused nearly 50 thousand dollars in damages. Do not trust this comp[any or the CEO. I cannot tell you the issues they have caused me and my family through this process. Maxum gave us a quotation late last year and we told them to go ahead. They managed to do only the internal plumbing and back flow valves outside before the weather got too cold. As promised, once the weather changed for the better this year, we were the first on the list for completion. They were professional, quick and courteous at every stage and they worked well with our Landscaper who was completely regrading and reseeding after the irrigation work was done. Apart form the great work done, one of the things that impressed me most was the commitment to responding to an inquiry, quoting in a timely manner and fulfilling all of their promises. They weren't the cheapest, but they were the most professional and knowledgeable. They gave us confidence in their service and we know that what they recommended and installed will work for our needs for many years to come.
