I didn't know she was a junior stylist until I was already seated, I noticed the she were asking her colleagues for opinions/suggestions and that's when I realized that she's probably a junior stylist. I wanted to get a very light blonde ombre and because I dyed my hair red before it was really hard to get to the colour I wanted. Brittany, Nicole and Stephanie were really great on giving Tania their suggestions and tips on how to come to the most possible colour i wanted. It took us over 4 hours to get my ombre done since I had red dye before. Tania was very patient and nice... and I like how she's not overly talkative, I hate it when when my hairdresser talks too much when all you want to do is relax and read your book. The ladies here are all very nice and helpful, nice ambiance! I'm not sure why is there reviews regarding the service prices. I think it's pretty reasonable, it's almost the same prices as everywhere else. Though I paid cheaper since I got a junior stylist but even then I think a master hairstylist is a fair price. Keep in mind though that it's easy to miss this place, there's no signage on the window that says Mint Lounge, apparently the sign is high up.

I had one of the most unprofessional salon experiences I've ever encountered…read more I arrived for my appointment and sat in the lobby for 10-15 minutes with no one at the front desk to check me in. Not a greeting, not an acknowledgment--nothing. Eventually, I had to walk into the salon myself and ask if anyone could assist me. At that point, I was told that I had arrived 10 minutes late and that my appointment would not be honored. This is simply false. I was physically present in the space the entire time. Instead of taking responsibility for the lack of front-desk staff or checking their own system, they chose to deny reality and blame the client. When I asked to speak directly with the stylist assigned to my appointment, I was told she was already with another client. That raises an obvious question: how did another client get slotted into my time when I was already there waiting? This was clearly an internal scheduling mistake, but rather than owning it, the staff doubled down, lied, and refused to help. I booked this appointment two months in advance, planned my day around it, and it was especially important as it was right before my birthday. Instead, I was dismissed, spoken to condescendingly, and left without any service or accountability. Mistakes happen. What's unacceptable is gaslighting a customer, refusing responsibility, and hiding behind excuses instead of offering a solution or even a basic apology. If you value professionalism, honesty, and respect for your time, think twice before booking here.
