The Special M is all two people could ask for with normal appetites, and you can get that rate for everyone in your party for simplicity and variety. Nothing in the lineup failed to satisfy. As to the famous noodles: the basic one l served in a broth that won't win over enthusiasts of ramen or pho, but this classic Chinese style is an interesting legacy of a historic restaurant that rounds out a destination dining experience.

My main dish was the Szechuan chicken, I like this dish because it is usually both a little sweet and a little spicy. This dish was just salty, no spice, no sweet. The sauce looked good but had no flavor except salt. Everything was cooked to perfection but the taste of the dish was flat. Overall it was an acceptable meal. Triple the prices for all of the menu items shown here. It's about 20$ a plate on average. Except for lunch.

You've been warned…read more 1. If you are Asian, you will be flatly denied entry. 2. If you are not Asian, you should understand the basic logic and what that says about this place. My wife and I were returning to Seattle after visiting Yellowstone and spent the night in Butte. We found this restaurant on Yelp. We weren't expecting world-class dining--just something reasonably clean and edible. What we did not expect was outright discrimination in 21st-century America--especially from people who, historically, have often been on the receiving end of it. As soon as we walked in, the owner/manager/waiter (all the same person) looked at us and said--in Hong Kong-style Mandarin--"I ask you to consume somewhere else." At first, I didn't even process what he said. My wife understood immediately: we were not welcome here because we looked Asian. Keep in mind, this was an Asian buffet. Once I realized what was happening, I was furious and ready to call the police. My wife pulled me away, reminding me there was no point staying another second. I agreed--but decided that people need to know about this. This isn't only about food quality. It's about basic human decency. And this man has none. Bottom line: Use common sense and basic logic. Stay far away from this place.

The owner refused to serve our family, claiming that during our last visit, our 1.5-year-old child dropped a bit of food on the floor. At the time, we offered to clean it up ourselves, and were told: "It's okay." Turns out -- it wasn't. What's worse, he also said that we "didn't leave a tip" -- and according to him, that's another reason we're not welcome at the restaurant. So basically, if you come with a child and don't leave a tip -- you're not wanted here. This kind of attitude toward guests is blatant rudeness and pettiness. It's shameful that in this day and age, families with young children can face this kind of discrimination over something so trivial. If you care about respectful treatment, basic human decency, and professional service -- stay away from this place.

This is a review for the owners/management. However with our most recent order the prices increased substantially, from $18 to $25 for one example. And an additional 10% take out fee on top of that. There has been no update of the pricing online and no notice over the phone. I placed a usual order over the phone and sent my husband to pick up and he came home with an outrageous bill. I was told over the phone that I should come in and pick up a takeout menu to see the prices... but we won't be back. Allegedly the prices changed last week but they have not been changed online in that time frame. Might be a good idea to verbalize the price (at least the total overall) to customers when they place an order if you won't be posting accurate pricing information online. We really liked this place but that is borderline theft.
