Snow Pea Chicken
Darcie H.

This place was perfectly acceptable. It wasn't great, wasn't terrible. Service was ok - very rushed, but again - just fine. I had snow pea chicken, some of the broccoli in it had a bitter taste... so I avoided the rest. But it was all fine.

Lunch shrimp special with noodles

We ordered delivery from here because we just moved to town. The potstickers had a great flavor but we're soggy by the time they got to me the egg drop soup was okay. We ordered the shrimp and broccoli lunch special with noodles. I was surprised that the noodles or spaghetti pasta. We stopped eating though, when we found a big hair in it (pictured on the bag on the top). We would not order again from this place. It might've been my bad though for ordering when they first opened at 11:30 AM.

Combo C. Do not recommend.

I was skeptical about the bad reviews regarding this place, but they're fairly validated. Definitely the smallest portion of Chinese food I've ever been served, which wouldn't be a problem if the price was right. Flavor 5/10 Value 1/10 I ordered the Combo C for $16.50, hoping it would be a feast like 100% of the other Chinese restaurants I've been to around the country, but it was a half-sized entree with maybe 3 slices of chicken and a few mushrooms. Flavor was on par with Chinese buffet food. Hot & sour soup tasted like they were running low so they just added a bunch of water to it. Fried rice was better than some, worse than most. Egg roll fried at too low of a temp so it was a grease sponge. Fried shrimp were decent, I'll give them that. Overall I'd rather just get Chinese food from the Safeway deli than spend my money here again, which is unfortunate because I really love Chinese food (even though I'm Japanese... Sorry grandma haha).

a plate of noodles, broccoli and meat

Meh, this place is just okay. But not many choices in Butte to choose from for Chinese food. Food is overpriced for the quality and taste. General Tsao chicken was chewy and a Mongolian beef didn't taste well. The Mongolian beef was mostly onions. The chow mein was not bad. I've had their appetizers in the past and those were good.

Not the freshest

The restaurant is upstairs- when you walk into the bar head down until you see the stairway going up, though the bartender for Acoma will be more than happy to direct you as well. Inside is a hodge podge of seaside paintings, flowers, animal statues and Buddha. Tablecloths are vinyl for an easy clean up. I guess Bath & Body Works had a sale in the home goods dept. Don't get me wrong, it's really clean in here! the bathrooms too. Okay, on to why I'm really writing this review: the sushi- I get it, it's not their main thing, but the rolls had the tiniest pieces of fish they could get away with. It literally tasted like all I was eating was rice. I got the spicy tuna, Butte maki roll and nigiri combo. The portions on the combo were big, but not fresh. The avocado nigiri (laughs) wasn't ripe enough yet and hard to eat. The waiter was very flippant, and did not bring small plates as is usually customary when ordering sushi, so I used a napkin as a makeshift plate. Maybe the Chinese is better. But the sad part? I know I'll be back because where else can I get sushi without driving 100 miles? Here.

This excellent restaurant is located in the old Acoma Lounge. The new owners have done an amazing job with the interior and is an excellent place for family dining. The food and service here was excellent as well. We all had different combination plates which came with plenty of food. You won't leave hungry for sure.

Sesame Chicken Combo

We ordered delivery for dinner, which was definitely pricier than just pick up. I ordered the sesame chicken combo and it was pretty tasty. The rice was a bit bland though. I thought I read it was supposed to be pork fried rice but I could be wrong. Either way it was just plain fried rice; I ended up eating the shrimp fried rice my Mom ordered and it was much tastier. I got the hot and sour soup with my combo and wasn't truly impressed there. The eggrolls were tasty, I wish I could have substituted the fried shrimp for another egg roll though. My sister and my Mom said their food was pretty yummy as well!

If you get two entree's make sure you order extra fried rice. They finesse you & combine the rice for both entrees.

Staff went out of the way to accommodate our family on Christmas Eve. Mom made Christmas Day…read morereservations- but blanked on Christmas Eve. They squeezed us in - a lovely lounge spot by the fire. We had two kids , 5 and 7, hangry from a day on the slopes - and they were so kind. Our server went way out of her way to work around my long list of food allergies. Food, service, staff, everything was top notch!

Enjoy the drinks, pass on the food. You're welcome…read more Service is friendly, drinks are pretty good! Stick to drinks. Hot toddy. I don't know where the kitchen is, but "far" is my guess. Food arrives on room-service carts, and ours was all Cold. Not just temperate or not-hot, but room-temp. $25 Wagyu Cheeseburger sound pretty good? Nope. It wasn't even kept under a heatlamp between the era when it was made and when it was served. Edges were dry and cold, not even warm in the center, zero juice. I get it, resort prices, convenience of eating in the Summit Lodge, trying hard not to complain about the $25 price, but it was just a limp cold burger. Fries? Also cold. I mean, the least they could have done, after recognizing the long time passed between making the meal and serving it, is refresh the fries, no? Cold greasy fries, cold dry overcooked burger. One star at any price. It's not like there's a shortage of burger options right at the Summit either. Am I going to complain that it was $75 for three burgers at our table? No, not if they were hot juicy Wagyu Cheeseburgers, but then, these were not.

The food was good, but not hot as a buffet should be. One gentleman working the whole place…read more Restaurant was very clean and price was OK for an average buffet. Not a lot of selection, but it's not a busy buffet. Good has good flavor. All self serve including drinks. Although garlic shrimp said mild, it definitely had a bite. Overall not much of a buffet.

You've been warned…read more 1. If you are Asian, you will be flatly denied entry. 2. If you are not Asian, you should understand the basic logic and what that says about this place. My wife and I were returning to Seattle after visiting Yellowstone and spent the night in Butte. We found this restaurant on Yelp. We weren't expecting world-class dining--just something reasonably clean and edible. What we did not expect was outright discrimination in 21st-century America--especially from people who, historically, have often been on the receiving end of it. As soon as we walked in, the owner/manager/waiter (all the same person) looked at us and said--in Hong Kong-style Mandarin--"I ask you to consume somewhere else." At first, I didn't even process what he said. My wife understood immediately: we were not welcome here because we looked Asian. Keep in mind, this was an Asian buffet. Once I realized what was happening, I was furious and ready to call the police. My wife pulled me away, reminding me there was no point staying another second. I agreed--but decided that people need to know about this. This isn't only about food quality. It's about basic human decency. And this man has none. Bottom line: Use common sense and basic logic. Stay far away from this place.
