It was the most amazing dinner I've had with my wife in at least a year of eating out!! an excellent experience from start to finish. I would recommend anybody that enjoys Chinese food to give this place a try. My wife and I ate here on a Sunday night at 6 o'clock, and the food was off the hook. First time here and last time here. I love Chinese food but this one was a bit disappointing. My shrimps had tons of pepper and super salty and my pork fried rice was soggy. I hate leaving bad reviews. The actual restaurant looks like it needs a deep cleaning. The service was ok. It's the worst feeling when you're super hungry and the food that you purchase is nasty. Food was usually great, however the place is very dirty. Floaties in the water and dirty floors. Look under the table legs at all the food not vacuumed up, vacuumed around. I want to look at the kitchen. The last time we were there, I ordered a dragon roll. It was suppose to have eel and shrimp in it. It came out with z t j strip of something, nothing else. If they were out of the shrimp, why wasn't something mentionsd about it when the 'dragon' roll was brought out, or discounted. Nothing was said, and full price was charged. We ordered delivery from here because we just moved to town. The potstickers had a great flavor but we're soggy by the time they got to me the egg drop soup was okay. We ordered the shrimp and broccoli lunch special with noodles. I was surprised that the noodles or spaghetti pasta. I was skeptical about the bad reviews regarding this place, but they're fairly validated. Definitely the smallest portion of Chinese food I've ever been served, which wouldn't be a problem if the price was right. Flavor 5/10 Value 1/10 I ordered the Combo C for $16.50, hoping it would be a feast like 100% of the other Chinese restaurants I've been to around the country, but it was a half-sized entree with maybe 3 slices of chicken and a few mushrooms. Flavor was on par with Chinese buffet food. Hot & sour soup tasted like they were running low so they just added a bunch of water to it. Fried rice was better than some, worse than most. Egg roll fried at too low of a temp so it was a grease sponge. Fried shrimp were decent, I'll give them that. Overall I'd rather just get Chinese food from the Safeway deli than spend my money here again, which is unfortunate because I really love Chinese food (even though I'm Japanese... Meh, this place is just okay. But not many choices in Butte to choose from for Chinese food. Food is overpriced for the quality and taste. General Tsao chicken was chewy and a Mongolian beef didn't taste well. The Mongolian beef was mostly onions. The chow mein was not bad. I will say I've had bad Chinese food, but this will be at the top of the worst. I ordered hot and sour soup (which was not bad), egg rolls and there pepper chicken wings. First to get to the restaurant you go through the door and immediately think the place is closed down, it looked like a run down bar and poker room? You have to through this to get to the restaurant upstairs. There was no signs tell you to go through to get there, I had to call and make sure they weren't closed down. Now to the food: The egg rolls were under cooked and filled with what tasted like old fryer oil. The chicken wings were so dry and overcooked. The meat under the skin had a funny color on some of them and the amount of pepper was so much that I couldn't stop coughing. The lady who was serving me was rude and before I could even sit down asked me what I wanted to drink. The clear plastic table cloths were filthy as well, which is another thing that turned me off about this place. The restaurant is upstairs- when you walk into the bar head down until you see the stairway going up, though the bartender for Acoma will be more than happy to direct you as well. Inside is a hodge podge of seaside paintings, flowers, animal statues and Buddha. Tablecloths are vinyl for an easy clean up. I guess Bath & Body Works had a sale in the home goods dept. Don't get me wrong, it's really clean in here! the bathrooms too. Okay, on to why I'm really writing this review: the sushi- I get it, it's not their main thing, but the rolls had the tiniest pieces of fish they could get away with. It literally tasted like all I was eating was rice. I got the spicy tuna, Butte maki roll and nigiri combo. The portions on the combo were big, but not fresh. The avocado nigiri (laughs) wasn't ripe enough yet and hard to eat. Soho is...ok. The cost is WAY too high for what you get. It's low end of middle of the road quality and small portions. I do, however, recommend the chicken skewers for kids if they don't like traditional Chinese/Asian food. Their fried rice is fairly good. I don't recommend any of their sweet and sour dishes as they're always cooked so much the meat is almost like jerky. You have to ask for things like hot mustard and soy sauce so be prepared if you order take out to make a special request for it or you won't get it at all. All the other Chinese restaurants I've eaten at you leave stuffed with a bag of leftovers for a week for $100. Definitely not Soho. read more

Absolutely flawless! I recently moved to the area and I couldn't be happier that the best sushi I've ever had is now 5 min from my home. I was in the mood to be adventurous, so I ordered two of their specialty rolls, Brooklyn roll & East Greenbush roll. Both are breathtaking visually, and the flavor profiles are almost indescribable. The chef is a true artist and master of his craft. I would highly recommend this restaurant and both of the rolls mentioned above. I am enthralled to have found this gem and eager to return. Orders consisted of chicken teriyaki and Mongolian beef..... the chicken teriyaki was more like a soup, I figured the rice container was for the entire chicken teriyaki dish, to clean up the soupy mess.... now I have no rice for my Mongolian beef. And Soho turned out to be just what I expected: food drowned in a load of sweet sauce, light on the spice. I ordered two Sichuan dishes, labeled as spicy, and neither one had even a hint of pepper. The decor was really nice, but the lady who met us at the counter was cold and distracted. My wife and I tried speaking Chinese with her, and though she understood what we were saying it was clear she was irritated by it. I've only recently discovered that soho was still open (I'm not sure why but I thought it was closed since my return to butte) and I am so happy that they are. I'm from The Bay Area (CA) and I MISS having authentic Asian food . Soho nails everything I've had so far and I'm seriously obsessed with their wonton soup. Plus their staff is amazing ! I've only been able to order odd delivery.com (they only do takeout right now because of covid-19) and one of the items I order doesn't work on the app but I just give them a call and they make sure my modified order is always perfect . It was good, perhaps a bit too salty but very tasty, and a nice size portion. The service was good, and my food was at the table in a very short time. We asked a number of people in Butte to recommend a Chinese Restaurant and all of them said to go to Soho Asian Cuisine and to get there for lunch. It was difficult to find and after climbing the winding walkway inside the bar, we finally got there at two minutes to three. The owner (who was not too happy) finally agreed to let us order from the lunch menu. We were pleased with the food and service. The red coloring in the sweet and sour initially put us off, but it tasted delicious. As did the orange coloring of the Almond Chicken. The food was very good and the servings were adequate. I lived in Japan for several years and was afraid I would never get to eat good sushi ever again. Not only is the sushi menu here good... (all maki-style)... but it is the best sushi I have had since coming home to the States. And that includes some restaurants in bigger cities! My favorite is the Soho Maki.
