Fun place to hang out. We went for happy hour and they were setting up for an event for that evening. The menu was cool because they had American dishes as well as Filipino dishes so we got a chance to try a few different things that we'd never try before. First time checking out this place and heard that they have bands that plays on every Friday and Saturdays. I'm very impressed with the ambiance and the music quality is amazing. Place was packed with great vibes:):) We waited for a few minutes for to be seated cause it was really packed. That's a good thing for this kinda business around Rancho Cucamonga area. The waitress was very kind and very helpful with her smiling face as well even though she was very busy. Ordered some chicken kabobs, wings and they have SISIG!!!! Went to Maya Bar/Grill on a Sunday for R&B Sunday Brunch event. What I didn't like was being surprised with a ten dollar admission charge. They need to mention an admission charge on all advertising including their Instagram page. The dee jay was mediocre at best but the waitresses were friendly and courteous. Would like to see Maya Bar impose a dress code and the security team needs to dress better. read more

Bartender (manager) made us feel uncomfortable and unhappy to spend our money. She wasn't polite at all. We watched her happily greet several guest but really had no words for my group. The female owner was super nice, however I think they need to find people who are good with preparing drinks. We literally watched them google how to make a French 75 then to tell us that we had to buy a whole bottle of champagne in order to get this drink. This is a full bar and I was shocked to hear this. Again this was the bar manager. Fries were good but I probably wouldn't visit here again. The hospitality from the bar manager was below average. read more

I came here for happy hour around 6 and there were only a few men seated at the bar. The service was just ok. The bartender is inexperienced, she made my cosmo but since it wasn't an appropriate pour she needed to remix and add juice. I ordered empanadas and feta fries. The empanadas were really good but the fries were cold and bland. I wanted to send them back but since they were so cheap I just figured id not complain. I wouldn't go back. I live right around the corner so that's a shame. read more

This is an awful place to sing karaoke. First of all, they took 20 minutes to serve me. Then they commented, lots of seniors here tonight (condescending tone). After that I started to sing and the chick said with a nasty voice, you are tall. After that they charged me 3x my bill. I had to show them the prices on the bill and they still couldn't add. first timer here. came on a saturday night with some friends. pros first: great staff! the bartender was very friendly and fun. the owner was also very kind and talkative; he has a great energy. i really hope his business excels because he seems so sweet. we talked to some of the customers at the bar, who were also friendly and kind. the space is elegant and spacious, love the lounge area with couches! super comfy and welcoming. there was a stage, too, so there's a lot of potential for this spot. i hear they have salsa classes and salsa night thursdays, but i haven't personally attended. cons next: bathrooms could be cleaner but were well-stocked, no big deal. ordered some micheladas that were mid: just clamato and beer with a rim. if i'm in rancho, i want something more elaborate than what i can make at home. the bartender also kept changing the genre of music in a way that didn't flow, which could be jarring for some people. granted, he's a bartender and not a dj lol recommendations: i hope this place finds a unique identity to make it pop... there's a lot of potential here. with a name like "moonshiner's," i expect a speakeasy or whiskey bar. there's minimal decor inside, so you can arrange this place however you want. my personal opinion, though: the IE really needs a LATIN club. i'm tired of every bar/ club having hip hop/ line dancing saturdays and having latin music during the weekdays; some of us work, lol. a salsa, cumbia, bachata, merengue saturday, even banda and ranchera on a weekend, PLEASE!! the IE is 70% latinx... read more

My friends and I came by on a weekday and had so much fun! We hung out with the owners, the bartender, and the chef! Everyone was very friendly and nice. The chef gave us food samples that were to DIE FOR! We ate earlier that day, so we only got to try what was given to us. Since it seemed like it was just us, the owner set up the karaoke for us and we all had a blast! My friends and I are definitely going to try coming back (especially on a weekend)! read more

I've been there 3 times. The first time the drinks were watered down, but it was an new opening so that could be overlooked, the second time I went there I had to ask for the drinks to be a little bit stronger they were very weak, which they made them a little stronger this last time I went I spent over $100 on drinks and was very dissatisfied. I don't think I'll be buying drinks from the maya! They should have a professional bartender that knows how to mix drinks the drinks are very inconsistent!
