Been here several times when I lived in town but stopping in on Saturday night it wasn't as good as I remembered. Ordered the potato skins and some chicken tenders. Neither were all that amazing and the skins were really dry. Service for drinks was good. Music was really loud as they had a live band but the music was good. Just hard to catch up with friends and hold conversations. Apparently shortly after we arrived around 9:30/10pm we were told the cook grabbed his stuff and left. read more

Terrible experience overall. The service was really bad, and the staff did not seem to care about the customers at all. They continued serving guests who were clearly extremely drunk and then allowed them to leave the bar in that condition, which felt very irresponsible and unsafe. First time here my friend second time we follow the band MLC which was great! We arrived about 5 pm band starts at 6pm. Once seated we were charged $10 cover fee! Given a blue wrist band. We noticed that they did charge the ppl that arrived early n not the ppl that arrived later. I asked the worker that question n he said it's hard to keep track of everyone! and talk to the owner . Went in last Wednesday to watch the Dodger game. Met up with another couple that had already started their own tab. Ordered a beer, said they were out of it. Waiter brought us menu for Dodger game specials, ordered a beer off that and again they were out of it. TWICE didn't have 2 different beers available. Settled for something else. Ordered an appetizer was literally chips and nacho cheese nothing fancy. Stayed and watched the entire game our table only ordered draft beers, and seltzers in a can. End of the game we were looking to check out, waiter was MIA. The couple we were with had to leave so they went up to the bar to pay. My spouse and I decided to stay and have another drink and then we cashed out at the bar- $100, left a $10 tip. As we were sitting at our table finishing up the bartender (older lady brunette) walks up and starts clearing off our table mumbling under her breath. She grabs my full seltzer and I tell her I'm still drinking that, we're not ready yet. She begins cussing at me and my spouse, calling us cheap, angry and yelling that our table only left a $16 tip. I told her we had a waiter, she said they have to share. She said "I've been working my A$$ off." I was confused because pouring a beer and opening a can is minimal. My spouse recommended she not charge $15 a beer (SA Oktoberfest) she said "Well I'm not the owner." She continued on her rant in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone yelling at us calling us cheap. My spouse asked her if she was being paid hourly, which she responded with a "F*ck You, F*ck Off!" She then followed it up by telling us " Next time you want to watch a Dodger game, go to another fucking bar!" We were shocked and disappointed. So I'd like to clarify- A tip or gratuity is a reward, an extra, a way of showing gratitude for a service provided and it is ALWAYS at the customers discretion. IT IS NOT OBLIGATED! *To the owner, the audacity and entitled behavior of your employee was disgraceful and unprofessional. You should be ashamed that she is someone who represents your business. Most definitely, this is not the first or the last time she will treat your paying customers this way and I suggest you take this grievance seriously. read more

For a dive bar type atmosphere it's pretty good. Food for a bar is good, drinks are poured well. My big complaint is the service. Maybe it's because they don't have enough staff, it does take a while to get a drink. I think its the days I remember when they had a strong Monday night football crowd when KFrog used to be there. The crowd was great with different age groups but nothing that would make me or my girlfriends ages 30's-40's feel out of place lol The Dj was playing great music and the dance floor was full or like us just dancing right at ur table! I' have been going to HK's for many many years and I love the place and I still do. But today something happened that was really unacceptable. They open at 11:30. I got there at 1145 to have a cold beer and some lunch upon arrival after ordering my beer a very nice bartender said I'm sorry, but the cook is not in so we can't serve lunch, but he'll be in very soon. I said that that's cool. I understand they're a greater tragedies. Half an hour later the Bartender came over and said I'm sorry he is still not in And I don't know when he'll be here. I paid My bill and I left her a four dollar tip on a six dollar bill and headed over to Oggis 's to have some lunch. I still give them five star rating this was an aberration. I'm posting it just because I to know that 40 minutes after opening there cook had not showed up. I own a small business And I treat my employees magnificently, but if one of them did not show up for work and he or she was the employee that had total control of something like people eating food they would be fired on the spot. read more

I see Everyone is talking about their ahi tuna so I ordered one togo. It's just like the other yelper said. So delicious! The portion is also very big that you can have it as a dinner entry. We went to HK's for St Patrick's Day. Crazy crowded and standing room only. We found a seat with a few friends that had already eaten and we're just listening to the DJ. They charged us $13.75 each beer which is outrageous but also tacked on a 20% gratuity! I asked the server and she said since we sat at a table with others we all got charged that gratuity which again is ridiculous! On our receipt it clearly stated two people. When we approached the restaurant there were security which I should have taken as a sign. We were not seated more then 15 minutes before a fight broke out on the patio. According to some people that frequent this establishment this is an on going occurrence. They had a DJ and I am going to say this was just not my kind of music. I am not a fan of music that carries a lot of derogatory words and racial slurs. The food was mediocre, the best thing we ordered was the club sandwich. The Red Scorpion's are shrimp stuffed with jalapeno wrapped in bacon. There was maybe a piece of diced jalapeno inside. The shrimp itself was good, but if you are looking for spice this gets a D. Alcohol is way over priced. The Casamigos Reposado for one shot was $16.00 really! I will say our service was pretty good. Don't think we will be back. read more

The bar area was full also. Unfortunately we sat closest to where the food comes out. There you see all the staff members grabbing a bite of their food or taking a drink before going back to work. Not the most sanitary.... Also all the conversations btwn staff members as that area is kinda out of the main center of attention. Service was quick. I ordered their seared ahi. As well as multiple drinks. Seared ahi was whatever. Didn't taste any of the inherent fish flavor you would from a nice sushi place. Sauce was mediocre. Wasen't really feeling it. Drinks were good and strong. For 3 peoples' entree and about 2 or 3 drinks ea h came out to well over $100 before tip. Seems kinda expensive. Sitting there throughout the night you cant help but people watch. Especially the people at the bar. Turns out it's a bunch of older people who drank too much and are making loud and sometimes inappropriate comments at other people and the staff. Not too great of an atmosphere. But besides that they have music too playing in the background. Bunch of flat screen tvs with different channels on. Ok place to watch a game and catch a drink.
