Whenever I'm at Haven City, I always stop by to have a drink here! Especially when I order Potato Corner, I stop by for my beer. Parking is a bit difficult in the nights and weekends. If you come during the day or a nonevent time, it's easier to come in and out. When I bring my friends here, I always tell them to stop by Native Son for a drink. I don't like drinking from the other bar area around the corner. I order the usual CITRA IPA and like to people watch from the seats nearby. The beertenders are generally sweet, but can be indifferent when it gets busy. As long as I get my usual drink, it doesn't matter to me! The service here is very quick and the general area is small. At night and on weekends, every seat is taken. You'd have to walk around the food hall to find a different seat instead. But overall, decent and perfectly quick. read more

I've been told native son has the best palomas around so I decided to see for my self and they're on point. I've been there twice and drinks are always good, however, service not much. Theres this guy that took my orders and both times he was like i didnt derve his service. I didnt know sizes, i asked and he pointed at them on a rude way not even speaking to me. We have been nothing but supportive to this bar until the manger/owner Suki was nothing but not only disrespectful to my family & I but also is aggressive to his workers. Please be careful where you sit especially taking the stool from the bar because you will get disrespected & yelled it. My grandmother has back problems so we used the stool from the main bar because it supported her lower back. We were going to put it back after done using it until Suki came aggressively towards us & yanked the chair from us. AGAIN BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU SIT ! Never ever coming back here again. They have a good selection of brews. Menus posted on large digital screens. They also have a screen to watch the game. Registers have tap to pay easy and convenient. Tables and bar area are for patrons only. Don't mind if we do! We were able to enjoy our lunch while trying out a stout. On a busy day there aren't many tables available in the restaurant row communal seating. So it was nice to have a private table inside. Plenty of free parking available. First off, I do not drink alcohol normally. Though I have tried it many many blue moons ago in my early twenties. Nowadays, it's not even on my drink list. Anyway, I was at a recent Yelp event in Haven City Market where Native Son offered a sampling of one of their beers called Blonde. For some reason, my intuition said go for it... you only live once... why not now LOL! I was hesitant because I had to drive home and I wouldn't want to be under the influence. Despite of it all, I went for it and I was amazed that the Blonde was so very light in taste... it was almost as though I was drinking a sparkling beer. It was very refreshing indeed. I had to come back and get another Blonde. I was hooked LOL. I better not get too used to it if you know what I mean LOL. A big cup for $8.00 is not bad at all. For some reason, this time around... my Blonde was a bit heavier in taste. I can taste the slight bitterness in the beer compared to last time. I was still okay to drive though. Will I get the Blonde for a 3rd time? I don't know... maybe once in a while, but not all the time. Gotta watch my belly fat LOL. The lady who poured me the Blonde was very sweet. Pretty simple here. Good beer selections from IPAs, reds, stouts, and nitro pours. The price is a little high but when you want a high end beer, you're pretty much at their mercy. The big drawback for me is being served the beer in a plastic cup like I'm at a baseball game. If you're gonna charge high end price for a beer, have the decency to provide the beverage in glass. The tabletop seating is small; not good for groups with lots of food. The barstools are uncomfortable but serve their purpose. Servers behind the bar are quick with their pours in a professional manners. Lots of TVs to view any sporting event you want. I finally made it to their week day Happy Hour, Monday-Friday, 3-6pm on a Thursday late afternoon with some of my Inland Empire buddies. I first learned about 'Native Son,' from attending a former Zoom Yelp Event that Yelp hosted during the beginning part of the Pandemic years. Native Son offer Cocktail drinks at $8 per drink during Happy Hour. The plastic cup came in a pretty good size. When the ice cubes started melting, the drink tasted more like lime juice so wasn't as strong as the beginning several sips of this Margarita I ordered. My friends don't normally know me as a drinker, but I do drink, Only socially as such!!!! Yummmm, especially with a nice crowd of friends. The cashier, per my receipt shown, Jeffrey I came across was friendly and so was the bartender. I didn't catch just the bartender's name though. She was chatty enough answering my questions about their Happy Hour offerings just to double check! My purchase today also came with some beer brand stickers and a drink holder. The Asian bartender ( see picture below) made a drink that was quite honestly the worst Paloma I've ever had. He had such a big ego he couldn't take the constructive criticism and REFUSED to make me a new one drink. He had the audacity to Tell me "no refunds", "you bought it; it's not my fault you don't like it" in front of other guests and other employees. Even had the nerve to charge me again! There are also mocktails available such as their Ginger Fizz and their Pina No-Alcoholada. There are very limited food options here, but that's is not a problem at all since there are food options all over within the same building. There are some consistent beer and mixed drink options for regulars. For those interested in hard liquor I will always recommend their seasonal mixed drink specials. The bartenders are knowledgeable and sociable, turning visitors into regulars with ease. They also have tournaments for local breweries which only further propels creative drinks for everyone to enjoy.
